Parking was a nightmare. Would not recommend this place if you had a car. I rang to ensure there was parking and they said they had deals and an affiliation with a carpark. Carpark was difficult to access as its on a corner with one way streets. Finally got there and it was full! Hotel offered no refund if I wanted to cancel booking. Then provided an alternative carpark. The $50 quote they gave me ended up costing me $70. Clearance into carpark was very low. 1.95m required removing surfboards from roof. Great hotel but if you have a car I would go else where. Staff are young and enthusiatic but certainly do not understand or are trained in how to clearly deal with parking. Very stressful experience

We booked the hotel between new year, but the rooftop was closed, it’s really upset. We didn’t informed by hotel before we stay. The elevator always need to wait for a long time. Thanks for housekeeping, they do the great clean!

Word of warning, if ordering drinks from the bar, chose something you know easy to make - the cocktails are waaay too expensive, small sized and maximum amount of ice to make maximum profit.

My first stay at Ace Hotel has been very memorable - easily one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Had four phenomenal sleeps in very comfortable bed with beautiful linen. Hotel itself attractively designed and thoughtful. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times - I arrived late into Sydney and the staff took my bags up to my room so I could take dinner downstairs (lovely atmosphere). I also had room service on my final night - both delicious. I used the gym which was small but well set up with technogym equipment and free weights. I’m already plotting a return to Sydney.

Nice property in a great area! We had booked a double double room and it was quite small but well equipped. Cleanliness could be improved as the storage areas (shelves) were very dusty and clearly hadn't been cleaned for a while. We enjoyed breakfast one morning which was excellent and used the bar which was nice but the beer wasn't great. Overall good hotel for the price and if you stay here you must try the open Thai restaurant that is opposite as the food is excellent.

I had such high hopes and love the ACE chain but we had a smelly room, no pram access, a disassociated teenager checking us in providing no information about anything whatsoever and absolutely zero service / eye contact at breakfast meaning we had to leave the hotel in the rain to get food so we would make our flight.

Happy with stay. Convenient location for walking around the City and to get to start of City to Surf. Off site parking was close and reasonably priced. Reception staff were friendly. Room was clean and adequate for the 4 of us. Our only problem was that even though we booked for 4 people the room was stocked with towels for only 2. We were told they would send up more towels after arrival but they never arrived. We had to chase them up. We also only had tea and coffee for 2.

Das Hotel ist gut ein Jahr geöffnet. Wir waren relativ kurz nach der Eröffnung und nun ein Jahr später wieder. Das Hotel wirkt bereits sehr abgenutzt und die Sauberkeit lässt recht zu wünschen übrig. Einiges im Zimmer scheint noch nie angestaubt.

The room was very small - with odd arrangement of shower and toilet in their own little closet- but had a great view . I was there on my own so it was fine . Coffee and food was excellent - although hard to get attention of the wait staff so you don't want to be in a rush over breakfast. I would recommend booking a larger room on the higher floors.

Firstly I'll mention the good things. The stars of the hotel are undoubtedly the staff. They were very helpful, friendly and professional at all times, responding quickly to any requests we made. We couldn't have wished for better service. The furnishings and fittings in the hotel are high quality but at the rate we paid this hotel is not good value for money. The room was small, cramped, long and narrow, very little floor space around the beds etc. The table by the sofa was basically wedged in by the bed, so close that my husband banged his head on the table getting out of bed. We've stayed in budget hotels in the UK at around £60 per night with two beds, but with far more floor space than this room at around £200 per night. In our view if you're going to offer rooms with two double beds and at these rates, you really need to provide larger rooms. A couple of points about the bathroom: No towel rail, nowhere to put our wet towels! Do those who designed this place not take showers and need to hang up their wet towels? Of course they do, but never thought to provide this basic facility in a "luxury" hotel. In our view two wash basins in what is a small bathroom are unnecessary and the space would have been better utilised by providing all elements needed in a bathroom. I wonder is the hotel aware that the door to the toilet is see through glass? Frosted but still see through. Not acceptable. Problems with WiFi on arrival, resolved by a member of staff. Won't stay again.

We only stayed one night at the Ace Hotel but absolutely loved it. The room was huge, luxurious, and surprisingly quiet even though it faced a busy street. The amenities were excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. A really great experience — we’d definitely stay again.

We’ve stayed at many Ace hotels and will continue to - but the room I was assigned this time was terrible. The room itself was fine, but it was directly under the kitchen of Kiln and it is extremely loud. I was awake until 12:30 when the final clean down was done and staff had left. That room should not be used unless a last resort and definitely should make the person staying aware of noise

I found the layout of the room quite strange with having to enter theoretically through the bathroom, with more space being given to that actual area than to the bedroom part of the room. If you have two people staying in a room for a length of time there is never enough storage space for luggage etc. I also find it strange that now a hotels want you to conserve energy by reusing towels, but again if there are two people using a room there is only enough space to hang one towel

The good: The hotel staff were great, the bar made great cocktails and the location is fantastic, you can walk pretty much everywhere. The bad: we were on the third floor and could very audibly hear the music in the ground floor bar, fine for us but could definitely be an issue for others. The layout of the room is a bit odd, you walk through the bathroom to get in. The toilet door and shower door are not full length and are glass and sort of off the main room which isnt huge so you’d definitely want to be comfortable with each other or have some music playing if someone was using the toilet because you can hear everything. All in all i would definitely stay again but thought this was all worth noting

Beautiful hotel with cool interiors and vibe. Enjoyed some excellent oysters and cocktails in the rooftop bar. We were staying in a small room on level 6 - the only complaint is that the room was very dark. No proper light fittings in bathroom which made it very hard to apply basic makeup in the morning. Location is fantastic and staff were nice - great value for money and would definitely stay again

We chose this hotel as it was close to Capitol Theatre. It was a perfect choice, the staff were incredibly helpful, the restaurants and bar were great for a pre-theatre treat and there were lots of amenities nice and close. The decor was lovely and we really enjoyed putting the old school record player on in our room while we got ready to go out. The amenities in the room were gorgeous, the bed comfy and room was quiet.

객실 비품 (바디클렌저, 비누, 티, 커피)가 떨어져도 다음날 채워주지 않음. 은근히 방 배치가 불편함. 예를 들면 침대 옆에 스위치가 없어 불을 끄려면 다시 일어나야 한다거나 세면대 바로 옆에 콘센트가 있어 헤어드라이어 사용시 감전될 것 같은 느낌이 들고 샤워기도 천정형만 있어 샤워가 불편했음. 심지어 냉장고 안 생수도 유료로 마셔야 함. 소파와 테이블이 협소해서 노트북 등으로 업무 보는 것은 어려움. 리셉션에 계단이 두 군데나 설치되어 캐리어를 직접 들어야 함 전반적으로 일부러 고객에게 약간의 불편함을 느끼게 하려는 것이 컨셉인 것 같음.

Wow.. simply perfect hotel! 5-star accommodation, the rooms are comfortable, clean and well-designed. The restaurant and bar on the hotel's entrance floor are exceptional. Perfect service, excellent, delicious and high-quality food. The hotel staff and the waiters in the bar and restaurant were professional, charming and helpful. Close to Central, Capitol Theatre and Art Gallery - great location for a weekend in Sydney. Room was lovely - bed was sooo comfortable and the room was quiet. Bathroom and supplies were excellent - great shower. The cafe/restaurant downstairs is outstanding- the tiramisu is to die for. Staff were very friendly and got early check in despite it being a super busy night with events on in the city.

Room small and dark. Limited amenities. Downstairs restaurant very good for breakfast but not for dinner. Bar area and dining area freezing cold as they kept doors open in winter, difficult to sit and enjoy. We arrived with a lot of luggages and noone helped despite 4 people standing around.

The Keln rooftop restaurant was great. The staff in both restaurants (breakfast and rooftop) and the hotel were great as well. Special mentions to Joyce and Keln manager Leigh. I enjoyed the coconut milk, rice cookie and mango sorbet desert there times during my visit. Great cocktails at Keln and coffee at 1st floor. Looking forward to my next stay.
