Friendly and warm welcome from Val when checking in. Even offered us tea or coffee in the lounge. Good system to pre-order breakfast the night before. What a wonderful selection to choose from. Very friendly and efficient waitress greeted us and we were served what must be the best breakfast in Yorkshire! Highly recommended.

This is an amazing hotel. Scrupulously clean, everyone very friendly and helpful, the rooms are lovely, and a beautiful garden behind it as well as a convenient car park. The accommodation was of a much higher quality than we expected given the rating of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay there again and explore the moors and the coast - we were there for a family celebration.

Absolutely great service the owner accommodated extra kids beds ,great English breakfast we all loved it .We went on train trip to Whitby the next day and they told us to leave our car their when we checked out to save on parking at the station .Perfect location just off the main drag .Will be returning soon

Val welcomed us with a warm and friendly manner.the room was lovely clean and warm with a very good bed Good selection of things for a hot brew And the breakfast was fantastic a real quality full English cooked to perfection and piping hot we also had local kippers delish we cant wait to stay again ps very dog friendly 😋

This is an amazing hotel. Scrupulously clean, everyone very friendly and helpful, the rooms are lovely, and a beautiful garden behind it as well as a convenient car park. The accommodation was of a much higher quality than we expected given the rating of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay there again and explore the moors and the coast - we were there for a family celebration.

We had a fantastic 1 night stay here. Val, the host, was super friendly and welcoming. She couldn't do enough for us and made a lovely breakfast. The location is great, 5mins walk into town and ideally situated for exploring the Yorkshire moors, towns and coastlines.

The location was ideal and the town of Pickering was very charming with a surprising number of interesting attractions. There was a castle, a museum and, the point of the trip, a now famous classic car auction site (Matthewsons).
