Motel 6-Carlsbad, NM

This place is horrible the rooms are so nasty I had to go somewhere else didn’t even stay at the room walked in and walked out

The ice machine was broken. Room smelled bad

Had a great room but the swimming pool was green and nasty would have liked to go swimming but not possible

Easy parking,easy to turn into property.

We enjoyed this property, only one thing, the pool needs cleaning.

We stayed here for 2 reasons, pool and smoking rooms. We got a smoking room, but the pool, however, was closed for the season. I understand that it is fall, but in this region it stays hot until November. So needless to say i was disappointed. Both days we were there it was 95°. Asbfor our room. It was a little small for a king size bed. The window curtain had a big rip in it. The shower curtain wasn't long enough, so water got everywhere. The bathroom door was coming off the top hinge, so you had to lift up the door to close it. The bed was great and had new linen so that was nice and the air conditioner worked great. The staff was friendly and gave me what i needed when asked with a smile. Its a budget hotel and you get what you pay for.

Customer service was wonderful. Was traveling with two large dogs and there was no extra fees.

No pool no wake up calls no workin ice machine

Great place to stay if you have two big dogs. Going to the caverns there is a kennel there where you can keep your dogs for an additional fee. However, this hotel does not charge a fee to keep them there. This was a great benefit.

The room was good enough for the night..slightly yellow towels and sheets esp the really stained one ..threw it in the trash for them !! Lots of rooms rented to contractors with big trucks ..no issues with parking or outside noises ..no breakfast but good coffee shop in town

Hair left in sink and tub. Both filthy.

I spent the first 30 minutes killing mosquitoes in the room. Finally went to store bought mosquito repellent. The walls were dirty and/or greasy. Room was damp from poor operating AC. Mold on bathroom ceiling. I felt like I was out of country.

We stayed 1 night. It was a very clean room and comfortable! Very affordable price! Will be staying there again!

Flat sheets, fitted sheets, and towels were dirty and dingy. The mattress protector had a large urine stain. The towels and sheets were supposed to be white but they were so dirty that they looked light brown. I am officially disgusted with this hotel.

Our room was dirty and the sheets were not clean...service at the Office was good....won't stay again.

Room said no smoking, room reaked of cigarettes and had cigarette burns all over the bed spread. Toilet had poop stains all over it where it had not been cleaned, next room over while examining room we booked 10 people went into and were yelling and talking about drugs, then preceded to come out and sit right at the door on the sidewalk and start drinking alcohol. Felt it was very unsafe for my wife to stay at, took over an hour with expedia but at least i got my money back. This establishment is lacking good management and i would not recommend this place to anyone traveling through the area.

I’ve stayed at many Motel 6 before and this was absolutely the worst. The beds are outdated and the cleaners never took the hair out of the tub. No blow dryer or coffee maker in the room and the microwave looked like it had been on fire

There were hair clippings on the bathroom sink, bathtub, and toilet. There was food leftover in the microwave. There were also stains on the wall and sheets.

Bed linen filthy. Room he flies me mosquitos. Cigarette stench in whole room. Filthy and disgusting.

Very clean and comfortable. Perfect for an overnight stay.

Matresses on beds terrible

A/C unit needs cleaned and door needed repair. Everything else was fine.

The local workers staying at this facility stayed up late visiting outside our room. They were not courteous of others at late hours at all.

This is what I expect from a Motel 6: The room is clean, it smells good, the bed is comfortable, the fixtures in the bathroom are new or function like new, the water pressure in the shower is strong and the hot water stays hot, the TV, fridge and microwave work, the WiFi is reliable, the area is not seedy with loud, trashy people hanging out there. This Motel 6 met all of those expectations. I actually slept so well in that bed that I wished I could take it home. My only complaint is that I could hear the cars on the street at night-- but that is because my room was over the front office and once I unpacked my stuff, I didn't feel like moving. So make sure to ask for a room that is further back in the motel, away from the street. Other than that, it was great. A very cheap option in Carlsbad, and an excellent location if all you are there for is to visit Carlsbad Caverns National Park and Guadalupe Mountains National Park. You just get on the road and it's a straight drive, 40 minutes to the caverns, one hour to the mountains. The motel is actually one of the closest motels to these national parks among all the motels in Carlsbad. I spent 3 nights there and was glad I chose this Motel 6.

The people working there were all good. Our room: Smelled like cigarette smoke (non smoking room) Cigarette burns on bedspread and blanket Bed was very uncomfortable Alot of noise, partying in the parking lot. The room itself was clean, no bugs

Most of the facilities were loose: the toilet seat and the sink fixture. The shower controls/discharge were not anchored. (The shower controls could be pushed in or out. The shower nozzle is too low. The toilet was leaking a small amount after flushing.

Front office lady really mean and dirty

Better than last stay; however, I wish housekeeping would have not been so loud in the morning, yelling across the way. If you want to sleep in, make sure you tape a sign that says, "Do not disturb" because they will knock on your door and wake you up!

We reserved 5 rooms. Great check in. The older lady was very patient and friendly even though we had a big group of family. Rooms were decent and clean. Ac were a little noisy but understandable because they are older. And our room door didn’t lock lol but other than that our stay was good.

Was assigned a unit that was filthy, broken, and smelled. Had to be reassigned a new unit. Night staff was oblivious and had to be suggested what to do to resolve issue

Pool is finally open. But the housekeepers knock and wake you up at 8 every day when check out is not till 11.

Convenient to caverns

We couldn’t stay here due to there were people (grown men) outside of our room playing loud music and drinking alcohol. Cars with dark tinted windows were driving by and also playing loud music. The area did not feel safe at all. We have 2 teenage girls and we were not comfortable having them so close to that environment.

Easy one night stay on my way between the National Parks. Parking lot was a bit loud but it was a Friday night of a holiday weekend, to be expected.

Feel unsafe

Overall good. Value for money. Close to Carlsbad national park.

This place was scary. We left after 10 minutes. Run down, buckling floors, old looking bedding, and burns on the bedding. The photo on your site and 7/10 rating is misleading. Police we talked said do not stay there.

Nothing fancy but clean and affordable - and easy access to road to Carlsbad Caverns. Nice staff and quick check in.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good parking. Dining options had to be driven to. For a motel 6 it was a very agreeable stay. Just there to visit the caverns.

This is about the best you can get with a Motel 6. Biggest drawback is proximity to food options. Would stay here again

Comfy little place, we slept well. We liked that they have coffee in the morning. Definitely cant beat the price.

Basic queen bed room. Instant coffee available in the morning, ugh.

Was only staying for one night, but the experience was good. Everything was as it should be. Clean and well equipped. Good location for finding places to eat.

Linen looked old and grey, no coffee available.

The shower head didnt work but the bath faucet was fine. An old tired bed with 2 skinny pillows. No coffe in the room, lobby coffee was an instant machine, just awful. On the good side, my pup was welcome and that was most important.
