Hotel Porta Nigra

We booked the family suit and a double room for my parents. Very nice and clean. The suit was perfect for my husband and kids. I would recommend that suit (apartment) if you have kids as you have a full kitchen. Parking across the street, belongs to the hotel, available for a small fee. Close to everything in walking distance. A great value.

The check in was confusing, the front desk was not manned when we arrived at 8 pm. A note on the door had a QR code and directions to check in online. The code did not work on my American iPhone? I called the emergency number and the young lady came over in ten minutes to help us check in, everything was fine after that… Enjoyed are stay in Trier.

Within in sight of amazing Porta Nigra, just wow! Incredible apartments. Super clean and beautifully decorated! We had two apartments. One had a full kitchen which had the necessary kitchen equipment for the 7 of us to eat breakfast and lunch. There is grocery story next door. Perfect location for restaurants, train station and Porta Nigra. Would love to go back, we had too short of a time there.

Inicialmente nós colocaram em um quarto que não havíamos reservado, inclusive em um anexo do hotel, sem elevador, tendo que subir várias escadas para chegar em um quarto estranho. Reclamamos e nos colocaram no quarto correto, bem melhor. A atendente do café da manhã é uma senhora muito simpática e o café é de qualidade.

Midden in het centrum vlakbij de Porta Nigra, Een zeer moderne, schone en nette accomodatie. Alle sightseeing spots op loopafstand. Parkeerplaats a €10 per dag aan de overkant van het hotel. Supermarkt naast het hotel. (3 persoons kamer) aan voorzijde hotel. Met ramen dicht hoorde je verder niks van de weg voor het hotel. Perfecte locatie voor 1 overnachting in Trier!

Room was well appointed and comfortable, however there was no wall mirror in the bathroom, only a small standing makeup mirror. There was a lift, but there were stairs to get into the building and the rooms were a half-flight higher than where the lift was. Otherwise, really appreciated the online check-in/check-out, and the location was well situated for access to the Altstadt.

De receptioniste was aardig en accuraat. Kreeg voor mn motor een af te sluiten garagebox. Veilig en droog. Goed lopend buffet met uitgebreide keuze. Prima wifi. Fijne douche en goed bed. Heel tevre

The location is perfect for a weekend in the city. Located right across from the Porta Nigra! We had a very clean, quiet, spacious apartment, reaching over three stories just for us. Two bedrooms, with very good beds and a very comfortable sofa bed, solid roll down shutters, blocking out light. We had a real kitchen, coffee maker, coffee and tea bags, big fridge and table for four. Even a washing machine was included. At breakfast the nice hostess baked chocolate croissants just for us! Parking spaces were available in the back. The front desk personnel was extremely knowledgeable about Trier, also gave us great suggestions for our travel to Luxemburg. The feeling was modern with a little bit of eighties thrown in. The hotel lobby is only staffed during the day, but uses keyless codes to allow entry to the hotel and individual spaces. We did not need any in-person assistance once we had checked in. We would return to this place anytime!

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Eine Aussicht gab es bei uns im Zimmer zwar nicht, aber dafür war es sauber und geräumig. Würden definitiv wieder kommen.

Was een wat kleiner kamer. Het is prima te doen voor 1 of 2 nachtjes. Verder kwam er wel een riool lucht uit het douche putje. Wel een goede nacht gehad en erg vriendelijke personeel.

Je zit midden in het centrum, ontbijt is goed. Kamers zijn schoon. Wij hadden een kamer helemaal boven in het hotel, daar was het zo warm dat we bijna niet in slaap konden komen.

Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und toll zu erreichen. Das Zimmer bzw. die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet. Lediglich die Fußböden hätten nochmal gründlicher gesaugt werden können.

The location was great. It is advertised as a smoke free property, but the staff smoked by a window during breakfast and the fumes entered the dining area.

Insgesamt ok. Direkt an der Porta Nigra. Super Frühstück und sehr nettes Personal. Leider Bad und Zimmer für 3 Personen winzig. Ausstattung sehr gut im Zimmer. Bad leider ohne Heizung und sehr klein.

The hotel is ideally located, just steps from the main attractions. For that reason alone, it is good value-for-money. I travelled to Trier by train. The hotel is walking distance from the station. The room itself is basic but includes all the fundamentals. The only problem was noise. The rooms aren’t sound-proofed, so I heard traffic, every door slam shut and people arriving throughout the night.

The lack of air conditioning combined with a weak fan caused us to have a sleepless night.

Lençóis e toalhas impecáveis, além da disponibilidade de chaleira elétrica com café e chás, espaço adequado para malas e roupas, cadeira, poltrona confortável e TV. Esses detalhes realmente fizeram diferença na experiência. Por outro lado, a recepção deixou a desejar. Não recebemos o link para check-in e check-out online e, mesmo chegando e saindo dentro do horário informado, não houve atendimento adequado. Ao chegarmos ao quarto havia um ventilador — que foi bastante útil, já que precisávamos manter as janelas fechadas por conta do barulho constante da rua. Porém, no dia seguinte, o ventilador foi retirado sem qualquer aviso ou consentimento, o que além de nos causar uma noite quente e desconfortável, gerou uma má impressão em relação à segurança e à comunicação da hospedagem. Também sentimos falta de informações mais claras por parte da atendente. Só ao final da estadia descobrimos que o hotel oferecia café da manhã, algo que poderia ter tornado a experiência ainda mais agradável. No momento do check-out, enfrentamos outro transtorno: ficamos cerca de 30 minutos aguardando na recepção, tocando o sino diversas vezes, mas ninguém apareceu. Tivemos que deixar o hotel às 11h30 sem conseguir finalizar o check-out presencial nem online.Em resumo, o hotel tem uma excelente estrutura e oferece conforto nos quartos, mas precisa melhorar significativamente a comunicação

Das Zimmer war etwas eng, ebenso die Dusche.

Zentrale Lage super. Zimmer für 2 Nächte gut; für länger wäre es zu klein und unkomfortable. Klasse: Wasserkocher, Kaffee, Tee. Minuspunkt für die dünnen Handtücher und keine ABLAGEFLÄCHE und schmales Bett im EZ. Würde wieder kommen.

super zentrales Hotel, Parkmöglichkeiten direkt gegenüber, trotz Lage zur Straße sehr ruhig, super nettes Personal, Betten sehr bequem. Das WLAN im Zimmer hat leider nicht funktioniert.

Wir sind mind. 1x im Jahr dort. Die Nähe zur Altstadt ist einfach perfekt. Das Hotel ist auch super, die Angestellten immer sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Gerne buchen wir demnächst wieder dort

Super lägenhet som var väldigt ren och fin! Otroligt mysigt rum och vi trivdes väldigt bra i lägenheten! Den var dessutom väldigt nära centrum vilket var toppen!

Leider war es an diesen Tagen sehr heiß und alle Fenster waren den kompletten Tag über offen gelassen worden. Das heißt es war unerträglich heiß in der Ferienwohnung. Auch hatten wir bei den Suchkriterien von Expedia - da weiß ich allerdings nicht ob das ein Problem von Expedia ist - nach Hotels gesucht bei welchen das Frühstück inbegriffen ist. Dies war bei der Buchung auch noch über dem Zimmer bzw. der Ferienwohung gestanden. In der Früh sagte man uns dann das wir das Frühstück extra zahlen müssten weil wir es nicht mit gebucht hätten. Und das Frühstück ist definitiv keine 15,00 € wert.

Sehr moderne und neue Zimmer, super Lage direkt an der Porta Nigra und gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis insb. mit Kindern. Das Frühstück war leider nur mittelmäßig (u.a. Cappuccino und Fruhstücksei nicht gut)

Das gesamte Paket hat gestimmt!! Gutes Frühstück Werden wiederkommen!

Gutes Frühstück, gute Unterstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder. Sehr zentrale Lage. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis absolut okay!

Wir haben uns im Hotel Porta Nigra sehr wohl gefühlt. Es liegt super zentral und die Zimmer im Hinterhaus sind wirklich ruhig. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Das Zimmer selbst ist klein, die Betten okay. Das Bad ist recht schön, aber einen Heizkörper haben wir dort vermisst. Keine Ahnung wie oder ob es beheizt wird. Wir haben die Tür zum Bad offen gelassen und so dort die gleiche Temperatur wie in der übrigen Wohnung gehabt. Direkt im Flur gibt es eine kleine, nette Sitzecke. Ungewöhnlich ist, dass der Flur am Ende nur mit einer halb hohen Tür abgeschlossen ist und sich dahinter noch ein Treppenhaus befindet. Es ist als Fluchtweg gekennzeichnet. Wohin dieses Treppenhaus führt haben wir nicht erkundet, sondern darauf vertraut, dass uns niemand von dort besuchen kommt :-) Wir würden wieder dort Station machen, manches ist etwas ungewöhnlich aber doch charmant.
