The service at this hotel was fantastic! In addition to having great food in their restaurant, the hotel also has a bakery with wonderful pastries. The beds were very comfortable, & the room size was perfect for 2. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a small and cozy hotel (motel by American standards). Everything was very clean, the staff was very attentive, and the views were excellent. We had a very tasty dinner in the restaurant. The breakfast spread was delicious. There were breads, pastries, meats, eggs, cheeses, juices and an amazing expresso machine. All was included with the room. The location is excellent for exploring some of Iceland’s stunning views. I recommend planning on spending more than one day to explore the region. My only complaint was it was too cloudy to see the Northern Lights… We should have stayed longer!

This is such a great spot to stay or stop for a meal. Staff is beyond friendly and professional. Food was SO good! Dinner and breakfast - must try the soup! Beautiful location. Huge bathroom. Comfy bed.

Hotel Snaefellsnes is a nicely run hotel very convenient to a tour of Iceland. The rooms are very modern and comfortable and the staff is nice. There is an on-site restaurant that serves dinner and breakfast comes wito th your room. It was a very nice and hearty breakfast as well. They also have a bakery full of yummy treats. We stayed 1 night and had no complaints.

Unerwartet schöne Unterkunft mitten im Nirgendwo. Freundlich eingerichtetes Zimmer mit allem Komfort. Einzig die Schiebetür zum Bad hat gelemmt. Gutes Restaurant und auch das Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend.

Really friendly staff. Room is a bit old, but in good condition - rooms have local names, not numbers. Breakfast was good. Interestingly, tables were allocated by your room name which meant there was a table for everyone. There is also an electric car charge point in the carpark.

There’s even an On Power plug station for electric cars, which was very convenient. The hotel also features a restaurant where you can enjoy dinner, as well as a breakfast buffet that’s included with your stay. During dinner, we were hosted by Anselmo, who made our dining experience unforgettable. His recommendations for food, wine, and dessert truly elevated the meal. If you stay here, you absolutely must try the lamb and the apple pie dessert—they were outstanding! Anselmo’s warmth and hospitality left a lasting impression on us, and we’re grateful for his kindness. Overall, Hotel Snæfellsnes is an excellent choice for travelers looking to explore this beautiful peninsula while enjoying a comfortable and welcoming stay. We highly recommend it and would gladly stay here again.

Bed and bedding were not comfortable for us, but that is a matter of taste. Really needs bathroom ventilation.

The room was nice and the staff was very kind. The bed was also comfortable. Only major downside to the hotel room was that it was not possible to lower the floor heating temperature in our room (Jokkul), which means it can get uncomfortably hot during a warmer summer day. It was also difficult to open the sliding door to the bathroom, as it got stuck.

The room was compact but clean and comfortable. The attached bathroom was petite with a shower stall that was almost next to the sink and no partition or shower curtain so the whole bathroom got wet. Apart from this it was a good stay in a very convenient location in the Snaefellsness peninsula. Thanks to the staff for being so courteous and helpful.

Staff was interested in helping their guests and making stay comfortable. Everything was very clean, breakfast was more than we expected and had something for everyone.

Nice small motel in good location for peninsula sight seeing. Rooms were comfortable and hotel restaurant had excellent food. Breakfast was included with a great variety of choices. Only down side was door had weight on it and slammed so in evening if resting you may hear your neighbours door as they left but it is otherwise in a quiet and remote area. You really should stay here. Pictures of the rooms don't do them justice. They have vaulted ceilings! Plush linens with loads of pillows, effective blackout curtains, and windows that open. And its so quiet. You'll definitely sleep peaceful. Oh, and did I mention the cappuccino maker in your room? Or the Netflix and Amazon Prime on the TV? Or that the way the water drains in the shower is so freaking cool??? Staff is so friendly and cheerful. The homemade bread at breakfast toasted perfectly with crisp edges all around. And the lamb shank I had for supper one night was the best meal of my two week trip. So flavorful and fell off the bone with wonderful veggie sides. Really a must try. I stayed a total of nine places on my vacation, and this place was my absolute favorite. I'll be dreaming of that meal, and my stay, for quite awhile. You really must stay at this lovely establishment! Thank you, thank you, for such a remarkable stay!

We loved our short 1 night stay here. A really kind man greeted us and walked us to our room. It was very clean and was probably the most comfortable bed we had during our stay. There’s a cafe/dinner opened pretty late so you can grab coffee and something to eat reasonably late. Everyone was really friendly. Breakfast has espresso, fruits, pastries, and more!

extremely friendly and helpful staffs, very welcoming, they showed us the room and briefed us about the functions when they gave us the key. The heat was coming from the floor so it may take a while to heat up but all is well, we had a nice sleep and very lovely breakfast as well. Highly recommended this hotel if you are around this area to explore the Snæfellsjökull national park.

We loved this hotel. The staff was very welcoming. The food in their restaurant was excellent. We loved the breakfast that was included. They have a latte machine for the morning and were nice enough to boil me some oat milk to make a latte. Probably the best coffee we had while in Iceland was here. It was an extremely convenient location for exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. We would gladly stay here again in the future.

The gentleman at the reception was very polite and took utmost care of the situation. We were very happy as he automatically upgraded us to an apartment as there were some noise complaint from previous guest. As for the apartment, it was clean with stunning scenic views. Overall, we loved our stay.

This hotel and the staff were amazing Emil who xhecked us in at the reception desk went above and beyond to make our two night stay a fanatic one! We arrived after a long drive to be welcomed by Emil. He was so accomodating and allowed the kitchen to stay open so that we could have dinner in our room and even carried the heavy hot plates to our beautiful room! We slept deep on the comfy beds and woke up to a lovely breakasr in the morning. All the staff was friendly and made our stay incredibly special. We slso had housekeeping service, which is a luxury nowadays. We will definitely stay again due to the pleasant stay and great location!!

Im Vergleich zu vorigen Hotels waren die Zimmer etwas dunkler vom Licht, aber das ist Geschmacksache. Was noch fehlt sind Hot Tubs :) Alles in allem hat es uns gut gefallen.

This was our last night in Iceland. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, good size. Bathroom was also perfect size. Small shelf. Great shower. We also had dinner at the restaurant. One of the best meals in Iceland. I was just about a 2 hour ride to the airport. TV was available, but have your Prime or Netflix acct numbers available.

The property is close to all the places that we want to visit. We order some food , but it was the worst in all our trip, looks like isnt fresh.
