This inn was gorgeous. It was like stepping back in time. It was easy to find and the parking lot is easy to access and depart from. The room we were staying in was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The English breakfast that was included was tasty and thoroughly enjoyable. When staying in Chippenham, do not hesitate to book The Crown Inn.

Outstanding pub! Well appointed rooms, tasteful and charming decor. We stayed here while walking the Cotswold Way. We had lunch in town before checking in and chatted with locals in the area. Each time we said we had reservations at The Crown the response would be ‘oh, great pub!’, or ‘delicious food’, or ‘oh, that’s a proper pub’. The Crown lived up to it all! Kate was a wonderful host and took care of all our needs setting us up with a trail lunch and everything. Our dinner was incredibly delicious as well. We couldn’t have been more pleased!

A 2 night stop in business. The room was spotlessly clean with a nice, personalized, welcome note. The bed was very comfortable and the shower amazing. The only downside which is totally outside the control of the hotel is the time it takes to get out of the junction onto the A46 which runs alongside the hotel (no traffic noise in the rooms which was welcome) I would highly recommend The Crown Inn and am looking forward to returning there in the spring of 2025

Recently refurbished and in excellent order. The room as cosy, clean and had some relly nice touches to make it feel personal. The food in the bar/restaurant was awesome; plenty of it and really tasty, excellent value. A special shout out to Camille who was front of house and who couldn't do enough for us while we were there; friendly, accommodating and generally made us feel very comfortable.

Nice room. Went for a one night stay. Reasonable price and breakfast included. Unfortunately toilet wouldn’t flush which was obviously annoying. Reported in the morning and was told waiting a refurbishment shortly. Mmm I think the toilet is a necessity really.

First class all round in each category with one minor caveat. I have given 4 stars for "comfort" as we only had one (rather rickety) chair in bedroom. The room was big enough to accommodate two comfortable chairs.

Inn was clean, food was great. Coming on foot from the Cotswold Way was kind of difficult, we stayed for more than five minutes on the side of the busy road waiting to securely cross the road.

Another pleasant stay which is very convenient only being 5 minutes off the motorway in lovely surroundings. The breakfast was as good as usual - a nicely presented full English breakfast set me up for the day.
