Lovely venue in vineyards where you are free to walk. Beautiful room and great spaces to hang out and enjoy local wines. Terrific staff. Thank you!

Rooms great, breakfast excellent as were the friendly staff

The majority of staff were friendly, courteous and happy, which makes a real difference to the stay. The room, including bathroom were small, but clean. One of the reasons we booked this hotel, was the description on the hotel's website 'of privileged views of the Douro River and valley'. There is no view of the Douro River and the view of the valley is completely spoilt by the numerous electricity pylons and high voltage cables. The hotel is surrounded by them! The swimming pool, while nice, is really a large plunge pool. Access to the hotel is not great, as it is single track, requiring someone to reverse and find a place where you can pass if meeting another vehicle. We had two evening meals in the restaurant which we really enjoyed. Breakfasts were also good. It is not a bad hotel, but should be more honest about its surroundings and facilities, so guests are not disappointed.

Quiet, clean, excellent restaurant, good breakfast and excellent staff. Exterior patios/stairs needs some upkeep due to loose paving.

Beautiful location nice comfortable rooms. Dinner was lovely but portions a little small for my liking. Hotels own wine was lovely. Breakfast adequate but a bit basic. Very friendly staff
