Curtis Gordon Motor Hotel

I liked that I was able to bring my dog with me without any hassle or extra charges. I did not like that there is no escape from the noise into the wee hours from the bar on the lower level. Given that this is an older style of hotel, its age shows. Amenities are few, furniture and features are dated. But it provided a place to sleep and eat in the morning. Overall, I'm grateful.

The motel is for someone love to go to the casino inside the same building. We have a long driving in the past two days. This hotel is not for us.

Night club inside the restaurant is very noisy till 2 am , unable to sleep. Rooms need good and nice blankets. Secondly, needs more improvement in customer service front desk.

Let me begin by stating this place isn’t for everyone. If you are the type who needs ultra-modern decor, updated rooms, and lots of amenities, then this is not the place for you. If you’re also the type who starts complaining at the first sight of dirt in a corner, or whiff of cigarette smoke, then you’re not going to enjoy your stay here one bit. However, if you’re the kind of person who likes to reminisce about the summer road trips your parents took you on during your childhood, and the motor inns of the ‘70s and ‘80s, this place might just be for you. The property is a perfectly preserved time capsule of that era. The hallways, bathrooms, and lobby definitely whisked me back to a much simpler time in my life. The hotel itself is in very good condition, and nothing I would call run-down. It’s old. It’s dated. But not at all in bad shape. Cleanliness-wise, I’d say it’s a bit below average, but not gross or disgusting. It was certainly clean enough for me. The air conditioner in room we had worked great, as did the tv, and shower. The building was quiet, and we couldn’t hear the bar, even though it seemed busy. The staff was fantastic, friendly and committed to ensuring we enjoyed our time there. I have no problem giving the Curtis Gordon motor Hotel my enthusiastic recommendation!

It's clean except for the suspicious crusty bit on the sheet. Interesting 1950s feel. No lid on the toilet. Nothing has been updated since 1950. It was nice to have a decent breakfast. All the rooms are smoking I am a non smoker.

It was cheap for me. They do not have shampoo in the washroom At night is a little noisy because of the casino, but it was not a big issue for me.

Budget friendly hotel, but stay only if you have to. The one good thing about this place was no pet deposit, but the bed was top small for two people, smelled horrible, lamp shade has stains on it, you could hear the bar from your room, and bright lights coming into the room.

You get what you pay for. The A/C unit wasn't properly attached to the wall and did not work. There was no hot water when I took a bath this morning. One of the chairs in my unit had stains all over it. I could hear people talking in the bar downstairs. I won't be staying here again and recommend that others don't either.

Room 6. We got the horrible surprise of bedbugs, on the last day of our stay. Disgusting. The room and furniture was badly dated, the bedding was worn. Lightbulbs and electrical covers were missing. We were not expecting much, but got well below what it was worth. Yup, well fed bedbug on our last night. Doing everything we can to try and keep them from showing up at home now.

They have bed bugs in their rooms. It was horrible stay for 4 nights. Flush was not properly working and they have yellow lights and noisy bar which might affect your sleep at night. However, cheapest hotel in town and close to many shops which is a good things.

Place is inexpensive, so if that's the main consern, it's workable. But my experience: No manager on staff to check me in, desk employee directed me to the casino, sugestig I should get a beer while I waited. Casino bar was cash only. Waited about half an hour. Finally got a room, it was cold (10c) but to be fair it was -35 outside. Bedsheets and comforter had cigarett burns in them. Ashtray present on nightstand. Considering all the evidence of smoking, I was pleasantly surprised to not smell any except when really hunting for it. That said, the cold may have masked it somewhat. Obvous and major renovations where underway while I was there, half the msin hallway was quarderned off and compleayly stripoed, so hopefully it's better in the near future

Dirty room

The rooms are dirty and the bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were distracting and I am sure they had bed bugs.

The rooms were terrible. Dirty, the bed very uncomfortable and smelled. Ended sleeping on top of covers. The towels were white but had yellow stains in them. One had a big black mark on it. The tub was old and worn looked dirty! The furniture was old and tattered. I won’t be staying there again or recommending it to anyone.

The room was dirty. Found a chicken bone on the floor under the air conditioner. Bathroom and tub/shower were disgusting. Broken shower head that dangled, filthy tub, used mini soap bar in soap caddy in shower. Badly worn furniture, missing light bulbs in room. Bed cover was dirty. Plastic ice bucket in room has no liner and was dirty inside. Gross room.

There were bedbugs which kept me awake the entire night. No blanket and no comforter on a night when the temperature was around 6 . I had a terrible night

The property was in bad condition. The wifi didn't work, the bed wasn't made, the bins were already fun. Bathroom looked like someone used it before me.

Room is old but everything are right. Clean. Good for short stay. Will stay there for my next trip.

Smoking room stinks, no heat

Who is rating these experiences? Go and look at the room before you take it. We had no thermostat and the old heating rad was cold. There was a 1/2" gap all around the window that blew in cold air, pot fumes and very loud street noise all night. No coffee or fridge in room. No deadbolt on door. The tub is scary. Was worried about my vehicle in parking lot all night. The bathroom door did not close. My wife would not sleep in the scary bed.

I have stayed here many times but this time there was an issue with heat. Heat wasn’t working and room was so cold.

Not bad for the price point, and the deposit is reasonable. Bed was comfortable but super noisy when shifting to get more comfortable. Room was VERY small, no microwave. Walls are super thin. Not fantastic but definitely not terrible for a last minute reservation.

Very outdated but that’s reflected in the price so it’s nice that it was a cheaper option

I showed up after booking this room and they didn’t have a room for me. Even though I already had a confirmation that the room was mine. I had to go down the street and stay with a different hotel.
