Afin que vous ne soyez pas surpris à votre arrivée, le stationnement se situe de l’autre côté de la rue, environ 100 mètres de distance. Il y a un espace réservé pour débarquer vos bagages avant de stationner. Stationnement sous-terrain, 22$ par jour. En sortant du stationnement, ne restez pas surpris de voir quelques itinérants qui campent pas très loin. Je vous rassure, en 4 jours, je n’ai vu aucune bagarre ni violence à ce propos.

Overall, this place is good except for the parking

The property was under renovation and it was not written anywhere when I booked. No elevator, 4th floor, no restaurant.

This hotel is a converted office building. Rooms are clean. Parking is a bit challenging. Need to park in another parking lot across the street and walk luggage over.

I was very happy with my room and I was very happy with the price. The room was clean, modern and had high ceilings. However, there were a couple of things that I would have liked to have been warned about. The first is that the lobby is under construction. I suspect this is part of why the room was such a good deal. The short walk from the elevator to the front door was basically through a construction zone. This was a compromise I was more than willing to make for the price, but I wish I had been warned. The second problem was the parking. There is no parking at the hotel, but they offer paid parking a block away, so factor this into your travel budget. Be warned though, the ceiling in the garage is very low and you won’t fit if you have a taller vehicle or, in my case, a roof rack. I suspect a lack of on-site parking is pretty standard in Quebec, but if you’re coming from further away you might be caught off-guard. If you’ve traveled in Europe you’d be pretty used to this, unfortunately, while Europe gets away with it because of a useable train network, Canada is not much better than the US. Otherwise, all the on-site staff were very pleasant, the room was very nice, and it seems like the hotel will be a cool spot (once the construction is done). It’s a little ways away from old Quebec (if that’s what you’re into), but there is a convenient free elevator really close which will get you up the hill and the hotel has easy access to public transit.

A modern refurbished hotel with a nice spacious room. Friendly staff. The renovations to the ground floor bar and dining area were unfortunately still ongoing when we stayed, but I'd imagine they will look amazing when complete. Fairly central and about 15 minutes walk up to the edge of Quebec old town. Small gym but has enough for a few night stay if needed.

The room was exactly what we were looking for. The check in at reception was friendly and organized. The elevator was under maintenance during our stay. This was very inconvenient and especially troublesome after arriving from traveling and touring throughout the day. A heads up would have been nice. I likely would not have booked this location had I known the conditions. The room circumstance made things better but I was unhappy with the situation I was put in.

Unfortunately, our experience with the cleaning service was disappointing. Despite requesting a room cleaning, the bedsheets and covers were not replaced, and our used towels and robes were taken without providing replacements. Additionally, after returning to the room with snow on our boots, we noticed salt marks and dirt near the entrance. The cleaners seemed to overlook this and did not clean the floors, leaving us to handle it ourselves. While it only took a couple of minutes to clean, we expected better attention to detail from the housekeeping team.

J’ai réservé une nuit pour l’anniversaire de mon mari. C’était notre première fois à cet hôtel et nous avons été ravi. La chambre est décorée avec goût (décor épuré, planchers de bois flottant, douche moderne à deux pommeaux, articles de toilette dont rasoir et brosse à dents, etc.). La propreté est impeccable. Frédérique à la réception est très gentille et accueillante. Nous n’avons toutefois pas profité du Mila Ristorante. Nous recommandons le Royal William.

J’ai bouker a cet endroit en pensant me reposer dans ma chambre (pluie) pendant que mon conjoint travaillait. A ma grande surprise la rue a cote de ma chambre etait en construction. A ma reservation personne en ligne nous a averti. A mon arrivée il y avait inscrit construction a partir de 9 am et bien s,etait a partir de 7 AM jusqua 15h gros vacarme du lundi au jeudi. Nous avions pris une grande chambre elle etait bien le pourquoi j’ai mis un 2 au lieu de 1. Parcontre dans la salle de bain une odeur tellement forte nauséabonde venait du drain de la douche. Il y a tellement d’hôtel a Quebec prochaine fois je vais aller ailleurs.

The sofa bed in the queen bed suite was terrible. Very uncomfortable and left me with severe back pain for 3 days.

L'isolation des lieux manque drastiquement. Moderne et propre, les chambres sont bien équipé.

Nice and big room

Great rooms, but we heard noise from the guests in the nearby rooms.

Big comfortable room, nice staff, TV could be bigger considering the size of the room & how far away the bed is….

Rooms were spacious. View of a brick wall left a lot to be desired. Breakfast buffet options were limited. But, my wife is celiac. They prepared a special breakfast for her each morning! Front desk folks were very helpful!!

Brand new big rooms, high ceilings and spacious well lit bathroom, very clean (spotless!). Nice modern decor. Large counter space with an empty mini fridge and a full sink with dishes and proper wine glasses. Bed is very comfortable, great pillows! There's no bell boy or valet, but there's indoor parking directly across the street (affiliated with the hotel). Over all we got a great deal for this stay and we will look to book this place again. For the price, the rooms did not sacrifice on anything that we care about. The hotel is located in a very cool/indie part of town with lots of great restaurants within a few seconds walking. The uptown and old city is walkable from here and there's a free public elevator to take you up the hill within a block of the hotel if you want to save some steps.

Zimmer an sich sind sehr schön und frisch renoviert. Wir hatten allerdings ein Zimmer zur Straße, die viel befahren und sehr laut ist. Auch den Lärm vom Flur hat man sehr stark wahrgenommen. Der Lobby- und Frühstücksbereich ist wenig einladend. Die Lage zum Viertel Saint Roche ist perfekt, dort gibt es viele nette Restaurants und Bars.

The rooms were recently renovated and were beautiful. Best mattress and furnishings. The kitchenette was well equipped and very convenient. Good selection for dining in the area. It was about a 20 minute walk to the old city. We’ll definitely return.

Good apart from on the Saturday of our stay - when we came down in the AM one of the 2 guys at reception was very drunk and quite belligerant.

We had a wonderful stay and an overall great experience at the hotel. The staff who assisted us during our check-in (I believe he was on night duty) was exceptionally kind, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, I forgot his name, but his excellent service truly made a difference and set the tone for our stay. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. The location was also perfect—just about a 15-minute drive to Quebec City, making it very convenient for exploring. Thank you for the warm hospitality—we’ll definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying here again!

L'établissement est bien entretenu, mais j'ai vécu une mauvaise expérience avec l'un des membres du personnel. En effet, je n'arrivais pas à ajuster la température de ma chambre alors j'ai appelé à la réception pour obtenir du soutien. La première personne avec qui j'ai parlé était très courtoise et elle a ajusté la température de ma chambre à distance. Cependant, pendant la nuit, la température est monté à plus de 27 degré. Lorsque j'ai rappelé tôt le matin pour l'ajuster, la personne qui m'a répondu a été violent verbalement en me disant qu'il ne pouvait rien faire pour moi et que malheureusement je devais endurer la chaleur. Finalement il a réussi à ajuster la température et le lendemain il faisait très froid dans ma chambre. Je trouve inacceptable d'être reçu de cette façon et la moindre des choses qui aurait du être fait par le directeur est de m'offrir une réduction pour mon séjour. ça n'a pas été le cas.

Front desk service people were very friendly and helpful. They held our luggage before and after check-in and check-out and came to our room to help us work the television. Quiet hotel in good location.

The location was great and the rooms were very nice. Close enough to Old Quebec to walk, and to the via rail station. An assortment of shops on Blvd Charest. No complaints. I would definitely stay there again.

I liked that there were a lot of food options nearby. It was also a 20 minute walk from the center all the touristy spots in Quebec. The hotel was very clean and the hotel staff extremely nice.

Overall our stay the Hotel Royal William Ascend was good. A few pros and cons: Pros: - Within walkable distance to Old Quebec (20 minute walk) - Located in an "entertainment district" with several food options, nightly life, and bars easily accessible (5 minute walk) without needing to go into Old Quebec. - Underground parking available (across the street). - Spacious, clean, updated rooms. - Friendly, knowledgeable staff - Very quiet (sound proofed rooms, didn\'t hear anything)! Cons: - Parking was a challenge when we first arrived. There is no parking on site, it is in a garage across the street. The hotel could do a better job of advertising parking options and directing guests. - Some of the hotel/room features advertised were not accurate. There was no bottled water in the room (we had to ask for it), there was no kettle, the gym was really mediocre (it was stated as a "state of the art gym"), the continental breakfast (we only walked by) did not look worth the $15. - The between room cleanings was minimal - bedding, towels, and garages. It would have been nice if they vacuumed the floors.

Nice, updated priperty with attentive staff. Fruit in the lobby daily, a metro grocery store is a 5 minute walk. 1km walk to old Québec or an 8 dollar uber ride. Overall this is a nice place to stay, we felt safe walking and we would stay again!

Inside the building was great out side which the hotel cant control. crossing the street to another building to go to parking, every time you want to drive somewhere made me cut down on the activities. also was watching cops chase a guy from the building behind the hotel.make you rethink night adventures. but all this is no fault of the hotel...that's city life! I would use this hotel again.

Love the room and cleanliness. Staff (especially night) were a bit sketchy. Don't know much about parking, etc. Location is okay, but lots of homeless people and others on drugs passed out on the sidewalk or alleys. Graffiti and probably unsafe for women at night. Even as a guy, it is not the safest feeling in the evenings. Back to the hotel. Gorgeous room and bathroom. Loved our stay inside. No night latch on door however. Not much of a view as you'll just see a few homeless people walking around and some buildings in need of external repair.

Great hotel, but the breakfast buffet was drab and unappetizing. For context, it's in a closed room with no windows in the basement rather than the beautiful dining room on the main floor, the meats under the hot plate were fully dried out and leathery, and there was little to no staff, so dirty pans and plates and spatulas remained at the breakfast station the whole time I was there. If you skip their breakfast, you'll have an excellent stay. I love Café Nektar, but friends and family are obsessed with Café Pekoe.

Hotel en rénovation (dans l’entrée) lors de notre sejours. Pas beaucoup de variété pour le déjeuner et nourriture de qualité très moyenne. Stationnement payant (20$ par jour). Par contre, notre chambre était tres belle et propre. Lit très confortable et grande salle de bain.

The hotel doesn’t have free parking. The area appears to be located in a less affluent area. Otherwise, super clean facilities, beautiful hotel, adjacent restaurant Mika, is excellent.
