Great room, everything worked well. Helpful and friendly staff. Good location between rail station and city centre, and close to shopping and restaurants. Thank you.

A warm welcome, clean room and a comfy bed. The hotel is well situated and our room had tea and coffee facilities.

The gentleman who checked me in was really pleasant and helpful. I was only staying one night but the room was clean and had everything necessary. Decent shower.

Adequate but a very slippery slope to terrible Proximity to town is great; an easy 10 min walk up the hill going past plenty of grocery shops and take away places. However, the hotel is at the bum end of town, next to a Kwik Fit and tends to attract questionable characters, day and night, who sit on the steps outside rolling up and hanging out. The reception was unmanned but the welcome, when finally checked in, was warm and friendly. The room was at the back so no road noise. Comfy double bed but it was two singles bolted together so the duvet barely met the sides. Sheets may have been clean but there was a burn hole. The room has seen better days; general wear and tear, a crack in the sink, previous water damage indicated by the slight mouldy smell and visible by the staining on the ceiling, main door, spongey floor and the bathroom door’s inability to shut. Other niggles include: only one bedside lamp which had no lightbulb, a flickering fire exit sign and no pump dispenser in the complimentary shower gel, All complaints about the room must be made within half an hour of check in and therein lies the bigger problem for the above is not obvious until bedtime.Add to this the smashed panel on the side entrance door of the hotel (the door also didn’t close securely) the fire exit being blocked by rolls of carpet offcuts and carpet runners running along the hallway all adds up to a place that is not worth the price to stay and it wasn’t cheaper than any other hotel.
