Welcome Riverside Guesthouse

We do not feel welcomed at all at this place. After we had checked in, we walked around to find out where the shower rooms and toilets are, but we're reprimanded by the cleaning staff instead. She followed us all the way to our room and yelled at us that we are not allowed to walk about! The entire area is poorly ventilated. What is the use of having a shared kitchen with zero ventilation? Our beds are totally not comfortable and sink in at the centre. There were horseflies flying around and resting on our food.

Place is clean and convenient

Horrendous hotel, DO NOT BOOK in this hotel it is the worst experience I had. No one will help you because there is no one in it, si if you have a problem you cannot get help. Room was dirty, cold and infected with insects.

This is a fraudulent listing that nearly killed me and my family. I booked the Economy Triple Room, 3 Twin Beds. Listing: 172 sq ft (Doubtful, maybe 128ft is I'm being generous) Sleeps 4 (In 3 twin beds?) 3 Twin Beds(Honest) Room amenities Bathroom (No bathroom, There's community bathrooms) Shower (No shower, There's a community showers) Towels (Honest) Bedroom (stuffy 16x8 room with a sink and a single chair) The photos of the room online are not of the room provided. There's no art on the walls. No bedside tables. No private bathroom or shower. Photos of the town's community pool passing it off as their own. Community bathroom: no soap, shampoo and paper towels, Just empty dispensers. Community Kitchen: No coffee, tea, nothing. Dirty floors, broken showers, mold. We hitched all day, checked into the room. Nothing but disappointment. There's no staff. The number posted on the wall doesn't work. Got the text message with the room number and code. It's a cramped room with no ventilation or climate controls. We decided to take a nap but the room smelled mildewy and sour so we opened the window. There's no device to control how much the window opened. No screen or any sort of security. The window opened to a garage parking lot. Whatever, we're tired and need some sleep. At some either through incompetence or malice a pickup truck pulled up to our window and was left running. I don't know how long but we wake up dizzy and disoriented, packed up and left.

Serious safety and privacy breach — room was already occupied We had an extremely disturbing experience at this property. The hotel sent us a room number and access code, but when we used the code, the room was already occupied by another guest who was unclothed and sleeping. We immediately closed the door and left. This was frightening for us and also a serious violation of the other guest’s privacy and safety. We tried calling and contacting the property right away, but no one answered and no alternative room was provided. After a long day of travel, we were left without accommodation and had to book another hotel at the last minute at a much higher price. What made the situation worse was that the property later told Expedia that we had stayed there, which was completely false. We never stayed at this property because they never provided us with a valid, available room. This was not a minor inconvenience or simple overbooking issue. Giving guests an access code to an occupied room is a serious security failure. I would not feel safe staying here and cannot recommend this property.
