Mostly good except another guest was outside on his phone till 3am next to my room. The handheld shower did not work in my shower and there was smoking in my room previously so the smell lingered

Very clean property with a very cozy feel. The staff was excellent. We stayed only one night as we had an early morning flight and they were able to arrange transportation from the airport and for the following early morning for a reasonable price. Excellent amenities and would definitely recommend due to location to the airport for quick stays. Very sweet hosts and they had the loveliest animals!

My husband and I stayed here one night after arriving late into ATH. The room was immaculate and comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful. We took a long walk around the area in the morning before enjoying the complimentary breakfast. The resident cats and dog were the cherry on top. This is the perfect place to spend a night before or after your flight!

This is one of the hard choices in life: should I give this place the raving review it deserves, or should I keep my mouth shut so I keep this jewel to myself? I stayed here twice during the last week. Excellent service, staff are kind, proactive, attentive, breakfast is excellent, the room, bathroom and public spaces are well designed, cosy and clean. Now, don’t you all book it, so it gets sold out when I want to go back….

We had dinner there upon arrival and it was not only an excellent value, but excellent food as well. Staff is friendly with perfect English. Beautiful 12th century chapel across the street. I never leave this positive a review, but this place is exceptional.

Candidly, when I arrived it was dark outside and when i left, it was dark outside so i never got to see the property in the daytime (which makes me sad bc it seemed cool). That being said, the inside was awesome! Very modern, very clean, plenty of space. The bathroom was very nice. Additionally, Nikolia took amazing care of us. Lots of communication, with plenty of notice (which was KEY. Some of the places we stayed didnt send information until the day before and we were already traveling at that point and time was tight and the internet spotty). We also used the shuttle to the airport which was seamless and convenient. This was definitely a pleasant experience and we would certainly recommend this location.

This hotel is a short drive to the Athen's airport yet in the middle of the country. You are surrounded by olive fields, grapes, and across the road from a 12th century church. But the real value is in the staff. We were greeted by someone who showed us to our amazing room. We asked for a supper meal because we thought it would be eaiest. And they delivered. Traditional Greek cuisine. Breakfast was provided and, again, it was excellent.

It has a nice country feel with a lovely little church nearby and only 10-15 minutes from the international airport. The breakfast was simple but fresh and delicious. The room was a bit smaller than expected but big enough and the accessories were good quality.

The mattress/bed definitely needs an upgrade. Road condition leading up to the property was very poor. Oneway transportation from Athens international aiport taxi trip was 20 euros.

My husband and I stayed at the Varaba Country House for one night before an early flight from Athens airport. The house itself is beautifully renovated, our room very comfortable, with a fabulous shower. The highlight of our stay was the dinner, one of the best of our entire trip to Greece, served by our host. Most highly recommended!

Stayed here for convenience close to the airport. Driver was 30 minutes late picking us up at airport. I woke him up when I called him after he did not answer messages. Over charged us in the morning and squeezed us into a car with another couple. We should have shared the cost with other passengers. Driver said no. This was not the communication we had with the hotel. Hotel apologized but never offered compensation or reimbursement for taxi driver over charging us. Driver was rude, and inconsiderate. Had many drivers in Greece in our 18 days of travel. This transfer service was the worst.

Short stay, got picked up at airport - great driver who checked us in. He also picked us up at the pre arranged time and dropped us off. The drive is just under 15 minutes each way. Clean room with everything you need, inc water and snacks.

We arrived late after the restaurant and reception was closed. Nikolia was excellent, she made sure we had food delivered and a taxi ordered for early the next morning. The house is also lovely, it's a shame we were only stopping overnight. Definitely the place to stay for Athens airport.

Great place to stay. We only stayed one night to catch our flight early the next morning. Used their car service which worked great. It’s a very cool place and we would love to have stayed longer. Staff was great to work with and helped make our stay enjoyable. They provided very good communication and even gave us a late night snack when we arrived later in the evening. Would highly recommend!

Excellent property, rural and peaceful setting. Fantastic room and amenities. Pick up and drop off from / to airport was flawless and logistics of this was done well. Fabulous hosts who are friendly, funny , caring and excellent Greek dinner with wine and good breakfast. Great experience and close to airport for flight in and out over an 18 hour period. Wonderful way to support a fantastic, local, small , family business. We need more of these in your portfolio

Gorgeous place in beautiful fields very close to the Athens airport. Truly a haven. I hope places like this — with fields and woods and streams— survive intact so close to Athens! Cute town with bakeries and more close by as well. I walked there and loved the road- saw people riding horses and met some sweet dogs. An ancient chapel is lovely to visit too

Très belle chambre avec un beau décor extérieur. Vignes et arbres fruitiers. Accès à une terrasse directement à la chambre ou une terrasse commune extérieure couverte , avec divans. Le repas du soir et le déjeuner étaient excellents. Nous nous sommes régalés et le service impeccable pour un très bas prix. La navette aller-retour de l’aéroport facilite le transport. Excellent endroit près de l’aéroport pour une courte escale avant de reprendre l’avion. Isolée de tout, village le plus proche est à 45 minutes à pieds au moins.

The place itself is very nice, clean, tasteful decor. Hosts very kind and helpful. Only issue was winter rains caused muddy roads and difficult conditions getting there. This would not be issue most of summer. Nothing around you can reach on foot, but some good restos will deliver. Also it is very noisy, as abuts right next to airport tarmac.

We needed a place to spend the night before a transatlantic flight next day. It was the most relaxing night, we ordered food from a nearby place that arrived within 15 minutes. We made a fire in the common area that has a wood burning fireplace, enjoyed a glass of wine the place offered us. The host was great and pleasant. Despite being 10 min from the airport we didn’t hear the noise of airplanes. Very quiet, nested in pistachio trees and vineyards. Definitely the place to stay every time we fly from Athens

Veraba country house is a little gem of a property provided you don't mind being away from shops etc and a bit of aircraft noise .It is set among olive farms out of town about 15 Mins drive to Athens airport. We had a couple of days there to rest up before the flight back to Australia. Breakfast and dinner are provided and you can order in food from a restaurant in town if needed in between.

Great little B&B close to the airport but also feels like miles away in the country. Very secluded so nothing v close by unless you have a car. Quiet surrounding except for the planes landing. Our room was v pleasant, v clean and had a good shower. Dinner was prepared by staff so you could eat at the property. We left too early for breakfast.

The access was complicated. I did not expect to drive via dirt roads to get here and the check-in process was complicated because of a narrow arrival window required by the Inn. The facility was pleasant, yet the rural location contributed to the presence of occasional insects (millipedes) in the bedroom and bathroom.

If you are looking for an easy transfer to and from the Athens Airport, I would NOT recommend staying here. The property is located off the beaten path on a dirt road and when arriving at night it is quite scary. The owner states that a taxi will charge you "35 Euros" and recommends that you shouldn\'t take a taxi because "they don\'t speak English". The real reason you should not take a taxi is because you will be driving on a dirt road that is uneven and should probably be accessed by a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Upon arrival at the location the owner greeted us with crossed arms and a dirty look because I took a taxi instead of her driver. The first words that came out of her mouth when I got out of the car were "I sent a driver and you will pay for the driver tomorrow morning", followed by "Does your father even speak English?" This is not a way I expect anyone to be greeted in order to feel welcomed. I had sent a message via Expedia asking about the "airport shuttle" and was told that a driver would meet us when we arrived but was not informed of the fee of the service. Upon arrival at the airport, I messaged the driver and told him that the taxi rate was 8-12 Euro and the taxi driver stated "you can take a taxi", so we decided to take a taxi instead of paying the one way fee of 20 Euro and because of that the owner decided it was appropriate to greet us in the manner she did. I was very disappointed based upon the great reviews that this property has.

A nice little properties, but it is far from the airport ( I was under the impression that it is only a few minutes from the airport, but actually it was 20min cab ride) Also it is in the middle of nowhere, so you can't go anywhere without a car, not an good location to visit Athens, even though I intend to stay close to the airport for convienence, it is not a good choice after all.

Lovely location, in the middle of pistachio, fig, and olive orchards and a horse paddock. Close to the airport, which is ideal. Even though you hear the planes overhead, you also get a taste of the countryside, with birds and wind in the trees, plus a house dog and cat. A perfect place to recover from jet lag or rest up before a long flight.

We chose this property because it was close to the airport, highly reviewed, and reasonably priced. It did not disappoint. The room was clean, well appointed and decorated, and the shower was incredible! Instant hot water with plenty of pressure and water flow. The best part of the experience was how we were treated by the staff. We were greeted with two cold beers in the fridge and a light snack. The next morning the complimentary breakfast was ready promptly at 8:00. This wasn’t a serve yourself buffet, but we were waited on. The meal included our own carafe of French press coffee for our table. We highly recommend!

located in the middle of the olive tree farm？but 10mins drive to the airport. Room is OK but the strong paint smell of the in- room stairs made my friend heavy headache. Breakfast was disappointed，one cold boiled egg and some cereal，I wish they can supply some ham or bacon.

A very nice one night stay. Very comfortable and so close to the airport. Easy transportation to/from the airport as well. Claudine cooked us a delicious dinner and a wonderful breakfast.

The Varaba Country House was an absolute gift to find. Warm and welcoming, it’s an oasis away from the hustle and bustle in Athens. Not only was the home cooked dinner delicious, you have a table looking out over olive trees, and if you want, you can start up a conversation with other travelers. Our room was beautiful, and breakfast was a treat. Definitely recommend if flying out of Athens airport, only 12 minutes away. Also, sweet animals (Bruno the pup!) will say hello!

This is a unique and lovely property. It is not your typical hotel with the front desk and so on. But it still has wonderful amenities. Pick up and drop off at the airport, an absolutely fabulous home-cooked dinner and a very wonderful breakfast. Great ambience, nice people, sweet dog and cats. In reading the reviews before I booked it, I realized if there were negative comments, it's because people simply hadn't read the description of what kind of a place it is. I loved it!

My husband and I stayed at the Varaba Country House for one night before an early flight from Athens airport. The house itself is beautifully renovated, our room very comfortable, with a fabulous shower. The highlight of our stay was the dinner, one of the best of our entire trip to Greece, served by our host. Most highly recommended!

We really liked the property. We met the owner and she was lovely to talk to. The drivers she arranged for us were top notch! The only thing lacking was the food provided. Dinner was extra and was not really very good at all. Breakfast, which was included was very sparse. 1 boiled egg, we all asked for a 2nd, bread, cereal and a small amount of fruit. Definitely not enough to go around for 4 people.

I always love staying here to wind down from our long flight from Miami before heading to Milos. It is set in the country, the owner offers a homemade dinner and after you can take a walk down the beautiful country road and if you are lucky you will see the horses out next door.

We were able to access our rooms early after reaching out to the owner that we were disembarking our cruise ship early in the morning and wanted to hang out there. She also arranged our taxi pickups for the next morning, and one of our pickups needed to be 3am and it was right on time. The dinner was especially nice, enjoyable, and reasonably priced at 24 euros per person, and included beer/wine.
