A lovely venue with friendly staff, really great rooms, and good food available in the Golf clubhouse. Breakfast, which was included in our room price, was substantial and very good quality. Would highly recommend for a great stay.

On arrival, we checked in and started to unpack. We noticed that parts of the room were dusty. As we looked closer we noticed that our room was layered in dust that had obviously been there longer than a week nevermind a day. The headboards were covered and you could visibly see the colour difference on the carpet where the duty was lying. I checked my mum and dad's room aswell and there's was the same but not as heavily dusted. Me and my dad both suffer with asthma which set us off sneezing and coughing. I'm not one that normally complains but I've never stayed in a high end place that was so dusty. Ive stayed in cleaner 3 star hotels. I complained to reception and they did move us into two different rooms which were better. However it did put a downer on the whole experience as we went away to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday.. I complained to Expedia but they struggled to get in touch with the hotel to reach a resolution. They told me they had tried both email and phone but they had no response which I don't understand. Although we made the most of my dad's birthday, we still felt let down by the cleanliness of the hotel when I paid a decent amount of money for a "boutique" hotel. Postive note the breakfast was beautiful.
