Got to the hotel and my room was gone. I got a bull crap excuse stating since I booked so close to the day unfortunately my room was gone. Not to mention they were full. I booked the double queen suite. Got pushed across the street to a basic double queen . Yes they refunded a majority of the money. Money doesn't make the experience.

The staff and the overall building were exceptional. The location is top notch. The room was actually very nice aside from the fact that the bathroom tile smelled like the streets of San Francisco. It smelled like pee and humans, essentially. I don't know if they ever clean the tile in the rooms. That and the lack of sound proof (I get it, it's an old bank) are really my only complaints or "points against" the experience. The gym was amazing. Best hotel gym I've ever used and I would highly recommend. The staff were truly exceptional. I just don't know why they'd let the room actually smell bad. As long as we kept the door closed it wasn't a massive problem but at least once I caught a whiff of lingering pee smell. Sort of disappointed for an otherwise very expensive room. I made sure to remove all the linens and pillow cases in an effort to save the next guest some time / comfort that the bedding was changed. Just sort of weird. If the bathroom didn't smell like pee it would have otherwise been a mostly wonderful, albeit expensive, hotel stay.

The $57 parking was a surprise. We parked somewhere else for $7 all night with a 8 min walk.

Clean, modern room. Helpful staff during busy event weekend. Off-season so some amenities were not available but close to downtown Cleveland attractions.
