Exceptional hotel and will be returning. Location couldn’t be more perfect for exploring Cirencester and was absolutely beautiful interiors. We had a junior suite and it was stunning.

Hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay, which we weren’t aware of until we booked and there wasn’t any recognition of this in reduced fees or gestures, which was a shame. The property was also not accessible, especially for wheelchair users (at the time, might change with renovations?), we had to leave our babies pram in the car as too many steps. The parts of the hotel we could use were lovely, well decorated, nice rooms, mostly very clean apart from a few minor spots. Staff were very friendly and helpful when we had an issue with air con. Great location in centre of town, shame about no long stay parking for the hotel but we did manage to get the few spots outside the hotel overnight as we were mid week and was quiet, there are other parking options 5min walk away. Breakfast was great with lots of options for vegetarians too. Overall I would recommend staying when the hotel works are finished.

Unfortunately lift was out of use when we stayed, My wife has serious knee issues which meant climbing the stairs was painful for her. Luckily the Hotel had a first floor room which we managed to get to. However it was not the room we had asked for, although lovely and spacious, somewhat dark and dreary in furnishings and colour. We had said we preferred contemporary decor on our booking, it was the opposite. Probably the lift issue. The bathroom was very cold throughout our stay and despite notifying reception we could not get the bathroom towel rail to work resulting in a cold bathroom and damp towels. Lovely meal in the restaurant although the cooked breakfast was tepid as the burners under the Bain Maries had all gone out and no one attended them. We noted several others had left their cooked breakfasts. Reception staff most delightful check in and check out. This was our second stay but sadly we left a little underwhelmed on this occasion.

disappointing is the single word to sum up our stay. The brasserie and public spaces are excellent, but the rooms whilst having had a make over are quite poor. The beds haven't been changed and are rock hard with lumpy pillows. The wardrobe/hanging space was ridiculous, with the fridge etc taking up the bottom section there wasn't enough room to hang a jacket without it dragging on the shelf below. Ladies, forget hanging anything up. Also, if you plan on using the gym whilst there DON'T!! It's filthy and poorly equiped, it should even be mentioned as really it doesn't exisit in a useable state. Given the cost of rooms here, I expected much, much better and will not be back despite being offered a free B&B stay for a night to make up for the poor experience.

We had a fantastic stay at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester. Every staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcomed from start to finish. The rooms were incredibly comfortable—uniquely decorated, clean, and a perfect place to relax. The recently remodeled rooftop bar and dining area was a real highlight. The food was delicious, the cocktails were creative and refreshing, and the atmosphere made it a lovely place to unwind. The hotel also provided us with a walking guide of the city, which turned out to be the perfect way to explore Cirencester’s charming streets and historical spots at our own pace. We will definitely be returning. Well done to the whole team at the Kings Head!

Stayed for one night for my wife's birthday and wished we booked for two nights! Great hotel situated in the heart of Cirencester with easy, walkable access to the various shops, pubs, restaurants and market. There is reasonably priced 24 hour parking a short walk from the hotel, once parked, we left our car there as everything we needed was so close to the King's Head. Pleasant, professional staff throughout the hotel, comfy, clean rooms, and a truly excellent breakfast. I definitely recommend and will be looking to visit again soon!

Nice lobby bar and wine cellar and for the most part, beautiful tasting food. However 4 in our party had to send the mushroom tart back to the kitchen as they were cold. Came back after 10 mins but didn’t taste very nice so nobody ate them. Nespresso machine was available in the room but only had espresso pods which was disappointing. For some weird reason, the coffee also came out cold ! The carpet in our room 115 was covered in various different stains which was rather off putting. All in all, an expensive stay in an average hotel.

Ground floor area had a terrible smell that was trying to be masked. Bar had very limited options and was very uncomfortable and the expensive, music was awful (like being in an airport lounge). Breakfast was very nice and room was comfortable. Would avoid in summer as Aircon was incredibly noisy

Its a nice hotel. It had odor in some of the hallways. My bed wasn’t comfortable at all. The last day the power went off and I got locked out of my room for more than 30min.

We had to move rooms 4 times due to human hair being inside all 4 beds. At least the ladies service on reception dealt with the issue by upgrading us until we found a clean bed. That said, this hotel is very tired and in need of refurbishing. The pictures listed are of the spa as all 4 rooms that we moved to from standard to the best have major carpet stains and water marks on the wooden furniture coffee / tea etc. Pay more and stay somewhere else.

My first impressions weren’t great, I phoned the hotel directly and was quoted £50 more than Expedia and was told they couldn’t match the price. The hotel itself is lovely, exceptionally clean and well presented. They are renovating some parts at the moment so it’s not looking it’s best, but the works aren’t particularly impactful The room is lovely, spacious, clean and well stocked with a kettle, coffee machine and fresh milk (a lovely bonus). We loved the bath. and the bubble bath was a lovely touch. We ate on the roof terrace, which was OK, the tables weren’t clean, but not awful. The cocktails were watered down, mine tasted of soda water, but they swapped it with no problem. The pizzas are incredible, I honestly haven’t had one this nice outside Italy. The bill was £40 over priced, they’d mixed up a few of the orders, but it was sorted easily and quickly (I would check your bill, it’s slightly chaotic). The staff are friendly and helpful, so all niggles were sorted quickly, but it does give the impression of being badly organised. The location of this hotel is perfect, we’d definitely stay again. I would say the price point is too high for the experience, but it wouldn’t take much to improve.

Lovely room, nice bathroom. The main lights were very dim in the room and the lamps didn’t work. The air con/heating was very helpful because the windows were single glazed. Very comfy beds. We didn’t choose to pay for extra breakfast but the buffet was fine for a quick bite. Although, some of the pastries were a little tough.

Great staff. Beautiful lobby. We stayed in B5, very large two bedroom suite. Floors were creaky and angled in places and could definitely bump your head in many places if you’re not careful. Bathrooms were large and modern. Great location.

Our room (deluxe) was very pleasant and comfortable, however the windows were small and facing onto a courtyard/wall, so the room was very dark. We had to the lights on, even during the day. Would chose another room, facing the square or higher up, if we were to come back.

The hotel was right in the centre of town and our room overlooked the Market Square and the church. Extremely comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Short stay parking was very close but it was a five minute walk to long stay parking. Building works going on on the front of the hotel at the time but that did not disturb us in any way

People working at the hotel were nice, but A/C in our room was not working and sleeping for 2 nights there, I was offered only a fan as remedy. they could not link their bar with my room number and they run out of beer at the bar by the time I came around. Weird

I've been traveling and staying in hotels for the last 7 months and the first time I've had a billing problem was at this hotel. Despite spending a lot of time on the issue, and sending screen shots of my credit card bill, they still can't tell me what I've been charged for. Most hotels have systems that can tell you right away exactly what you've been charged for, but not the case here. Also beware the apartments. They require a very long and narrow walk, and a number of stairs, to get to. So if you have a lot of bags, this is not the room type for you.
I've been traveling and staying in hotels for the last 7 months and the first time I've had a billing problem was at this hotel. Most hotels have systems that can tell you right away exactly what you've been charged for, but not the case here. Also beware the apartments. They require a very long and narrow walk, and a number of stairs, to get to. So if you have a lot of bags, this is not the room type for you.

We had a fantastic stay at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester. Every staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcomed from start to finish. The rooms were incredibly comfortable—uniquely decorated, clean, and a perfect place to relax. The recently remodeled rooftop bar and dining area was a real highlight. The food was delicious, the cocktails were creative and refreshing, and the atmosphere made it a lovely place to unwind. The hotel also provided us with a walking guide of the city, which turned out to be the perfect way to explore Cirencester’s charming streets and historical spots at our own pace. We will definitely be returning. Well done to the whole team at the Kings Head!

When we arrived we was greeted by a lady that was not very helpful We was told we could only have breakfast at 915 the next day however when we went in for breakfast hardly anyone there and we was asked for room number so that they could put the bill onto it which was fine however upon leaving a member of staff shouted at us can you pay before you leave as though we were doing a runner which was embarrassing and un professional.we said we are staying and it’s added to the room No apologies or nothing Needless to say I would not stay there again Few of the staff were nice however most rude and ignorant it cost nothing to be polite

The hotel was right in the centre of town and our room overlooked the Market Square and the church. Extremely comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Short stay parking was very close but it was a five minute walk to long stay parking. Building works going on on the front of the hotel at the time but that did not disturb us in any way

Stayed for one night for my wife's birthday and wished we booked for two nights! Great hotel situated in the heart of Cirencester with easy, walkable access to the various shops, pubs, restaurants and market. There is reasonably priced 24 hour parking a short walk from the hotel, once parked, we left our car there as everything we needed was so close to the King's Head. Pleasant, professional staff throughout the hotel, comfy, clean rooms, and a truly excellent breakfast. I definitely recommend and will be looking to visit again soon!

Breakfast was very good but not excellent. Ive had better. The room toilet seat seam stained with something so was wary about sitting on it! But other than that the room was very nice but the pillows were so stiff! Regarding the staff, there were amazing especially the front desk girls i think their names were Kim and Veronica.

Hotel is going through some work which was not pointed out at the time of booking, this was a little irritating as I booked it for an anniversary present to my husband. Due to works being undertaken we also couldn't have a romantic meal in the restaurant as this was closed and the alternative was eating on the roof terrace. The icing on the cake though was our breakfast experience, booked to eat at 8.15 which finally arrived at 9.25 .... cold and inedible and guests who sat down 20 minutes after we did , eating before us . Saving grace were the 2 members of restaurant staff who offered us a glass of fizz as a way of an apology that we had to refuse as we were driving. One guest appropriately called it Faulty towers

Comfortable stay and exceptional food. Stayed in junior suite and was nothing less than expected. Spacious room and relaxing stay. The restaurant served excellent food and we followed the restaurant to sheep restaurant at stow-on the wold, as We couldn’t get enough of it. Will Definitely return.

Lovely hotel with apartments in right in the centre of town, nice mixture of old heritage building with modern rooms Only down side, breakfast was not included and is extremely over-priced for what's on offer and the service considering it was very quiet was poor (too slow and items forgotten twice and having to be reminded)

My first impressions weren’t great, I phoned the hotel directly and was quoted £50 more than Expedia and was told they couldn’t match the price. The hotel itself is lovely, exceptionally clean and well presented. They are renovating some parts at the moment so it’s not looking it’s best, but the works aren’t particularly impactful The room is lovely, spacious, clean and well stocked with a kettle, coffee machine and fresh milk (a lovely bonus). We loved the bath. and the bubble bath was a lovely touch. We ate on the roof terrace, which was OK, the tables weren’t clean, but not awful. The cocktails were watered down, mine tasted of soda water, but they swapped it with no problem. The pizzas are incredible, I honestly haven’t had one this nice outside Italy. The bill was £40 over priced, they’d mixed up a few of the orders, but it was sorted easily and quickly (I would check your bill, it’s slightly chaotic). The staff are friendly and helpful, so all niggles were sorted quickly, but it does give the impression of being badly organised. The location of this hotel is perfect, we’d definitely stay again. I would say the price point is too high for the experience, but it wouldn’t take much to improve.
