pool was clean, good view of the mountains

Location is a block off the main strip , easy to get to and not so noisy. Room was right on the river with nice balcony. Breakfast was good. Negatives were pool was closed and room had a very musty smell

The sidewalk next to the river had a sign for employee only access that seemed odd. The parking lot was very small and having to park along the edge of the building left the rear of my truck in the road with two other trucks.

Only complaint was not enough of parking and no elevator. That had ramps and I had a difficult time on the ramps due to my asthma

This was a very nice Econo Lodge. It did appear that our front door may have needed to be repaired from an earlier incident otherwise we felt safe and it was a quiet place. The balcony and the area around the river was great. We didnt get a chance to use the pool but it appeared to be in need of an update. I would stay here again!

This was a last minute 3 night stay. This hotel is definitely a "you get what you pay" for place. The good: Location is great for walking through town. It's on the end of the main street (1 block from Ober) but we didn't need to use our car except to go into the national park. The river behind the room is relaxing and made the balcony more enjoyable. We didn't hear any neighbors both above us and on the sides. Breakfast is basic. Grab and go pastries, microwaveable Jimmy Dean breakfast stuff, a single waffle maker, etc. The staff was all very friendly. We stayed 3 nights and had daily check-ins for housekeeping. We were kept well stocked with toiletries and towels. The pool was clean and open until 10pm. The bad: Our room was very musty smelling and papers in our room were damp by day 2. We had multiple centipedes in our room, mostly on the floor. The remote for the tv was very basic and nearly impossible to use so we ended up not even watching tv. Overall, I'd stay here again only because it was so budget friendly and walkable to everything without being in the middle of town. Within 15 minutes of checking in, we had a bear visit the hotel, walk across the top balcony, and wander around the pool area.

Our stay was a wonderful one and we will definitely be back. Access to downtown was great, you just take the road by Ober Gatlinburg and it is the next block down. The creek behind was beautiful, and if you are in the pool, you have a beautiful view as well! The motel is not new and that’s the only reason for the 4 stars, as I would not want someone to expect a 5 star stay. My only complaint would be no counter space in the bathroom, but that’s just my personal preference. The staff was OUTSTANDING and made the stay that much better. Definitely worth the price for a stay in Gatlinburg!

Honestly, if it wasn’t for the ginormous cockroach we saw on our curtain the very first night I’d rate this place 3.5 stars. As we were all getting into bed my kid looks up and says what’s that? Imagine my face when I saw a huge, fat cockroach sitting in the fold of the sliding door curtain. We all immediately got up and got packed. (100% a cockroach, not a June bug). Went down to the lobby and they moved us to another room. Pool was fine, breakfast was adequate: waffle maker, hard boiled eggs & little prepackaged biscuit & sausage sandwiches, cereal, toast, coffee, etc. Walking distance of all the activities in Gatlinburg. The tiniest pillows I ever saw. Weird, square shaped pillows. Not even twin sized.

Great staff and very clean

Great location with balcony overlooking the river, with sounds of the rapids. Large room, comfortable bed, and good AC. Nice to have micro and fridge. Bathroom has mold in places, rust on light fixture and shower rod, and only one towel bar.

Definitely needs some paint and attention. Mold around baseboards and many baseboards missing. Shower faucet would not turn off and leaked (excessive) the entire time. Really musty smell—had to buy a candle. Get what you pay for as it’s a very cheap room for the location.

2 King Bed/2 Floor Suite. Good location, clean towels & bedding, friendly staff, good view. Dirty: bathroom vanity, light switches/outlets, desk upstairs (something was spilled and ran down the wall, lamp was stuck to the desk) , floors (corners esp) , walls (chipped paint & various stains at different heights on walls), rust stains on floor next to bed probably from old bed frame. Dangerous: 1st floor hairdryer GFI plug cracked and plugged in, upstairs a/c unit plugged into outlet with large crack in outlet box (small child could get fingers in there). Housekeeping sweeps litter from rooms outside into rocks by parking lot. Heard a bottle cap roll out of a room while on our balcony and watched him sweep it into the rocks. Littering their own property. What does that say? Hardwood floors look appealing? Think twice. Mop? What mop? Oh, the towel with a hole cut in the middle, slid down the broom handle and draped over the bristles? No mop bucket? No liquid to kill germs on hard wood floors? Get a Swiffer WetJet and change your life. We wore flip flops in the room at all times. Repair/replace: both shower curtain rods loose, light in 1st floor bathroom had a bulb out and is rusty, 1st floor loveseat looks like it was picked up off the curb, ditch the old timey desk & wall decor (just weird when you're trying to look modern). Extremely disappointed. Don't be fooled by the photos they post. See my full review & pics on Google (hotels.com won't let me upload).

We were very happy with this hotel. It was very clean and we loved having the river view and the river was right below us. We walked to two restaurants while we were there and there was also a close place to catch the “free” trolley! We will go back for sure!

There were many jice things abput this property (location, space). However, the moldy room makes none of them worthwhile. Our room smelled very strongly of mold. At first we could not see it. We founf the shower curtain moldy, the room garbage was moldy inside. The second night the bathroom ceiling was leaking from above when those guests used the bathroom. We alerted the hotel but didnt really see anything happen. The 3rd day the wifi worked but the first two our room had no internet. All of this and it was not at a value price. We will not return. I thought it would be fine based on other reviews. We were disappointed and wound up with sinus infections from the mold.

Stayed in room 106. My husband woke up with bites on his legs which appear to be from bed bugs or fleas. The room was dingy and stinky. I wish I would have read more reviews before booking as it appears others guests experienced issues with bed bugs recently.

It was a great location just wish the shower had more pressure and the bathroom was bigger

This was right on the river. I felt safe, as a single traveler. The room was clean. The front desk staff was always friendly. Breakfast area was clean. The location is perfect to be close enough to walk to the strip but just far enough away to have peace and quiet. I spent lot of time on the balcony, listening to the water and the geese would come by for a visit at least twice a day. I’ll definitely be back.

Good location and a quiet area but the rooms need remodeling.

We booked the 2 king room. It was a really cool room. I’ve never stayed in a hotel room with an upstairs. One king bed and bathroom is to the right when you walk into the room and straight ahead upstairs is another king bed and full bathroom. Both upstairs and downstairs had a balcony that overlooked the parking lot and you could see the lights of downtown. It’s a great room for sharing with your kids or other adults since the space is so divided. It was clean and the beds were comfortable but it definitely needs some updates. But for the price who could complain? The continental breakfast was convenient and had plenty to choose from. I like that there aren’t any stairs up to the second floor but ramps instead. Makes bringing your luggage up very easy. Overall it’s a great place to stay with a good price and walking distance to downtown.

The location was very convenient. We did a lot of walking up and down the strip in Gatlinburg and didn't have to worry about parking. We saw the Ober tram as it went over the hotel every ten minutes, which was really cool.The staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable, but they had very small pillows, which was kind of weird. We had a balcony room and sitting out by the river, was so relaxing.

Location was convenient to downtown. Parking lot was very small. Lady at front desk was rude.

This is the first time I have stayed here although I have seen it numerous time on my trips to G'burg. The room was clean, the beds fairly comfortable and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We had reserved a 1 queen bed room with a fireplace through hotels.com, but we decided we wanted to go a day early. There were no rooms through hotels.com, so I called the hotel and they had a room. I asked if we could just get the room we were going to be in and not have to move and the young man (Dev) said "yes". We got there tuesday night and when I checked in I made sure we could stay in the same room. Well, evidently there was a change and I was told we would have to leave the room the next morning. When I told them what Dev told me, the young man at the desk immediately made the change and we were able to stay in the room. Because of the trouble, we got the 2 queen bed with a balcony. I couldn't ask for a nicer group of people at this hotel. The ONLY negative is the water pressure in the shower. It is not good. I don't understand any hotel these days that doesn't have good water pressure, but we survived. (LOL) The light in the bathroom isn't bright, but that didn't bother me. The water was good and hot to take a shower and they have fans in the bathroom, which are unheard of these days. They even have a heater for the bathroom. Really cool. All in all...great stay. It's also close to Crockett's breakfast restaurant...where we eat every time. We also saw a bear our last morning.

The motel was great. It was near everything, but enough off the main strip where loud noises from traffic weren’t heard. The staff was great and extremely helpful. The breakfast was adequate, but could’ve used more hot items. I would stay again. I did hav one problem, a large motorcycle group stayed on my last night, and they were extremely loud late at night. I can’t blame the staff for that though. Sometimes people need to learn consideration without being scolded for it. Overall, it was a very good stay

The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. The location was close to Smokey Mountain National Park. Short walk to the strip.

We had a terrible experience at this hotel. When we arrived for check-in around 8:30pm the person behind the counter was asleep. Upon waking her we got our key and went to our room. The key would not open the door to the room assigned to us so we went back to the desk to recheck the key. The attendant was asleep again. We had to wake her once more, got new keys and went back to our room which still would not open. Eventually someone inside "our" room yelled it was occupied. We went back to the desk where the attendant was once again asleep and told her the issue. She stated she had assigned us the wrong room, gave us new keys, and we went to our room. Upon entering the room I noticed a large blood-colored stain on the ceiling which caused me some concerns about cleanliness. We left early the next morning and I wouldn\'t recommend this hotel to anyone due to the experience we had.

We had an amazing experience here and we will be coming back to this hotel due to excellent service and front counter.

Great location

It was very quiet and close to the main shopping strip.

The area was just far enough away from the downtown rush but close enough to easily walk to every where. The river was visible behind our room and the gondola out the front. Perfect for us to enjoy a weekend in Gatlinburg.

This property is close to everything and is in the heart of Gatlinburg. We did not have to use our car since we walked to restaurants shops etc. the surrounding area is full of hotels and restaurants (there's a Cici's pizza) we came in January 20-22 and paid close to $90 for 2 nights. There's a river that runs next to. For our family of four it was perfect, we had a room with one queen size bed and a sofa bed, a whole bathroom, TV, small fridge and microwave. Space was limited but walkable. The only inconvenience is that the bed had only one thin blanket w holes although it looked clean and one thin comforter, the cheap ones, combine that with freezing temperatures and the formula doesn't work. We did bring our own comforter so all in all the room worked for us. They do have heaters in the rooms let me mention that. The whole area looks clean. For breakfast they have a little more than a Continental breakfast. They have only 3 tables next to reception desk, not a lot of space. Overall, for the price I think it's a decent place to stay

The location was very convenient. We did a lot of walking up and down the strip in Gatlinburg and didn't have to worry about parking. I liked how the front desk lady let us switch rooms bc it didn’t have a bathtub and it ended up being right by the water. The room was super clean and nice and I liked how it had a balcony. The room was spacious which was good since we have two toddlers. The breakfast wasn’t the best as they only had waffles and some muffins/bread/ some fruit but if you aren’t big on breakfast it will work for you. I recommend if you’re only staying 1-2 nights

Hotel staff were nice. Hotel was in a good location to walk into town or the smokies. The breakfast selection was good, I especially liked the bear waffles. The only downsides were that the room smelled a bit musty and that there were only black out curtains. we were on the ground floor and everyone could see straight into the room so we kept the curtains shut but that meant we had to use the light to light up the room and it wasn’t very cosy.

Could use a remodel on the bathroom. A bit small. Staff was great. Breakfast looked basic.

Although an older property, this location is excellent. Easy walking to the village, forest and access to great Smokey NP. The room was clean, the breakfast was more than adequate. Not a complete hot breakfast, but toast, muffins, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit and juices with tea and coffee. The best and most unique aspect is it is located on the river channel. The balconies each face the river, with many birds; geese, robins and more cruising the grass slope between our patio and the river. We fell asleep to the sound of rushing water each night. Again, it is older but the beds, furniture and linens were nice.

Nice to sit by water. Relaxing. Very short walk to Main Street amenities. Quiet. Day shift front desk very nice. Bare bones clean hotel. Breakfast minimal. Priced accordingly and have low expectations.
