Heart of Wildwood Boardwalk Motel

The parking was horrendous. My children and I had to walk nearly 3 blocks with all of our stuff. And then, we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to the 3rd floor. The beds were very uncomfortable. We didn't have any washcloths. People were smoking on the balcony in the common area. The 11pm quiet time was not enforced, the people in the room across the hall from us were up being loud past 1am. The coffee machine in the room was broken. The bathroom was extremely small. The entire room was very outdated and too small. The sofa bed wasn't actually a sofa bed and was not comfortable for my son. Overall, the room was not what I expected for the price. We were very disappointed.

Staff was really nice. Pool was under construction but you could swim at 2 other places. Gentlemen working desk was very helpful, even helped us carry our bags up to our room. Was in good place . Watched fireworks from roof top.

The management was friendly. The location right off the boardwalk and short distance from beach was convenient. I thought we would hear a lot of boardwalk noise but that was not the case. The pool was nice, small but nice. Closes at 8pm and there is no shade by the pool. The rooftop pool was closed for our trip but when they say they have 3 pools they are each on different properties not 3 at one hotel it was a bit misleading. There is no elevator. Not sure when the last time they dusted the ceilings but they need done. We booked as a family of six but we’re only allowed 4 towels, hand towels, wash cloths a day. The a/c units were not on prior to our arrival so we walked into a very stuffy, hot room. Only four tv channels worked. The worst part was the heavy smoke and pot smoke that seeped into our room daily. There were ash trays all over the property and yet ash on the ground everywhere. Parking is incredibly tight, large SUVs should look elsewhere. The sleeper sofa wasn’t a sofa at all it was a weird plastic mat thing you’d use for a gymnastics/tumbling practice with weird triangle “pillows.” It wasn’t a mattress it was a mat. The location was great but the hotel needs some serious upgrades.

Stayed many years ago and really enjoyed our stay...However our recent stay was disappointing...2 of 3 pools were closed, one of them by the health inspector...Also the room was in poor condition...

When I brought a matter to the staff's attention, they promptly fixed the problem, and because of things like this, I return here with my family each year. Their location on the boardwalk/beach access is unbeatable, and the only thing I wish would change, is now we are in year two of the rooftop pool being closed. The upper deck is still my favorite place to chill out, and I'm sure the pool issue is major, but I hope its fixed for when we return next summer.

Nice motel, great location, right on the boardwalk. Has a deck overlooking the boardwalk with a pool, but that pool is closed for renovations, that still had two other pool options though. Very clean and nice staff, only real complaint that we had was the TV. Not too many channels and a lot were fuzzy, Direct TV isn’t it. But that was really minor considering most of the time you’re not really in the room.

We booked here for the extra bed (pull out couch) and the location. The pull out couch was more of a gymnastics pad that our son slept very uncomfortably on. The pillows were hard as rock, we had to go to a local homegoods to purchase pillows to avoid getting a headache each night. The hotel itself was very outdated, very misrepresented online. There are 3 pools, the one for our building was very small and not even shown online. The larger pool was closed down. Parking lot is terrible. The beds were very uncomfortable. Hallways were very dirty. The location being near the boardwalk was the only plus to this motel. Next time we will spend more and stay somewhere with better reviews.

The motel room was bigger than excepted, covenant to the boardwalk and clean upon our arrival. They rooms could use a little refresh but overall were nice. Roof top pool was closed for renovation so we didn’t get to enjoy that. Parking is not the easiest and they won’t allow two hang tags which wasn’t ideal and carrying luggage up 3 flights wasn’t easy so be prepared for that esp when they have 3 separate buildings. Would book again based on the location.

Perfect location for beach access and boardwalk access. Only complaint I have is parking. Parking is very limited. So find a spot and stay in it or loose it and be on the look out for another one.

Reminds me of my childhood! Room was close to the beach, well kept, clean, and quiet when it needed to be. Close enough that you weren’t so exhausted coming back from the long Wildwood beach walk.

The property is well maintained and clean. The staff was professional and friendly. We are definitely coming back next summer.

The room needed black-out curtains. Too much light came in the blinds. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was not working. The room appeared run-down and needed reviving. The room needed more hangers. The safe in the dresser was very old and had no instructions on operation. The bed was very comfortable. The table in the room was very old and wobbly. The a/c worked very well. The workers were very friendly and usually said hi when we walked by them. The pool in our building was nice and cooled us off very well. All in all a pretty good stay…

Great location! Affordable accommodations, friendly and helpful staff. Room seem outdated, but not in Wildwood where they are tryingto keep the Doo Whop atmosphere.

The picture was of a different hotel. We checked in and they took us to a dofferent hotel because the pool was under construction. It was not close to the boardwalk. The room was so disgusting we could not stay another day. Remote to TV did not work. Only 1 channel. Went to make coffee grounds still in there from last people. Took shower, water went off half way thru. The air conditioner kept going on and off and when it went on it sounded like a rocket lifting off. I would just get to sleep and it would go on and scare the crap out of you. Only 1 window in room sealed shut. Too hot without air on. So 1 minute throwing covers on next taking them off. Neither of us slept. It was the longest nite ever. The staff wouldnt accomodate us. We just had to leave and go home after only 1 night.

I stayed here in July 2024 for my birthday and although the room was small it was very clean and convenient. The room had a microwave,frig, and a coffeemaker. The hotel is right on the boardwalk and walking distance to everything.

Not what we expected but at least we were close to the beach. Very small the rooms and old. The fridge didn’t work and the old AC didn’t work well. It was to noisy

We have stayed here several times but won't be back after this stay. Wifi never worked. Shower faucet was terrible to opporate and clearly needed replacing. Key to the door was really difficult to to open and one of the drawers in the fridge was broken. The futon was so old there was next to no padding in it. You basically were sitting on the metal grates. Everything was so overdue to be replaced but they clearly dont want to put any money in to fixing. Not to mention the roof top balcony was not operational which we were not told until of course we booked, paid and couldn't change our minds without loosing money.

The room is too small

The staff was awesome! Went above and beyond. Hotel was right next to the boardwalk. We had a great time!

I enjoyed my room, except one of the burners didnt work had to cook on one burner but it turned out fine, one of the housekeepers walked into my room while we we're in the room without knocking and making it known that she was coming in, she did apologize so thats that, and last we werent happy about the roof top pool being out of service we were looking forward to that but there was another pool available, so overall it was a good experience will definitley use this motel again as long as theres no other issues

I check in and about 20 minutes later I checked out. Start with the front desk assistant not friendly at all. I ask to change the room he did not even try to help. The room they gave it to me smells . No money back . I lost what I payed but

They left me standing outside, didnt let me in. good thing i stayed at my friends place but they aperently dont allow anyone under 25 without a guardian so it was not mentioned earlier, even i signed at this site with 21yo it should have cancelled me earlyer, not last minute. They stole my money.

We spent a lot of money to stay here. The staff was rude motel was run down chipped paint everywhere rusty, pool was dirty. Girl at front desk with black hair was very rude and not helpful at all! We will never stay here again and tell everyone we know not to bother spending the money! They really need to do better!

The entire town of Wildwood had no electricity due to a fire at the substation. We did not know until checking in for two days for my three-year-old son's birthday. We keep getting incorrect information from the hotel staff about when the power would be fixed. After a day and a half of staying/sleeping in our air-conditioned car due to NO room air conditioning, no hot water, NO use of our refrigerator/kitchen, and NO lights, we turned in our keys and drove 100 miles home. It was, of course, not the hotel's fault, but the communication from them was poor and inconsistent. The hotel would NOT refund our prepaid money at the time of our arrival/check-in or when we left. The best that they were willing to do is a possible credit for a future stay. WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR RESPONSE.

Stayed for 4 days, 3 nights and had a blast! The view of the boardwalk and beach from the rooftop were awesome! It was so nice to be able to walk down onto the boardwalk and out to the beach! A lot of dining options around and easy access to the beach! Room was clean with no problems and the staff was very friendly! Will definitely stay here again! 😁
