We had a lovely stay at the swan inn. We had a kingsize bedroom with ensuite shower. The rooms are above the pub. The landlord & landlady are really friendly. The pub is very quaint as you would expect for the centre of midhurst. Breakfast was in-house on Saturday & Sunday and was delicious. Friday and Monday we had the choice of breakfast at comestibles or gartons cafe. Friday we wanted to go out early so chose a sausage sandwich and latte from comestibles and Monday we had a leisurely english breakfast at Gartons. Both we enjoyed. We ate twice in the pub restaurant and can recommend the burger and the lamb 3 ways. The other evening we ate at the Italian around the corner. We were lucky with the weather and sat on the outside seating each night, one night the local council had put an outdoor elvis tribute act and movie night on in the church square opposite the pub, which was fun. We will be staying again and have requested a booking for the same time next year.

We were only there for one night and didn’t arrive till 6pm. Check in was easy, I was told where we could park which was a 5 min walk away. A nice large room and clean en-suite which is compact. We couldn’t have breakfast because the kitchen had a problem with its gas supply, they had arranged with a cafe opposite to do breakfast but we needed to leave before they opened. Had to post the keys through the letter box as no one was working at 8am

Stayed in room 3 , very quirky , great bath , really comfortable bed , nice and clean , with a lovely view of the market square and the little touch of a bottled water was nice . Returned after races and has a few drinks in bar , which is a great bar , friendly staff and good range of drinks and food After a brilliant nights sleep we went down for breakfast . Great choice , free tea and coffee , and a really good breakfast.

Wonderful hotel in beautiful old English town! Parking is a challenge but we were lucky! Staff greeter was exceptionally friendly and helpful. No elevator (lift) so prepare for spiral stairs! Food was absolutely first-class as was the service. Highly recommended 👌

A cute pub with a bit of edgy decor. We stayed just 1 night but didn’t dine there but instead found a table in the bar for a drink. It was very busy on a Saturday night, obviously the most popular place in the town.

The landlady was rushed off her feet but still made us feel welcome and valued. We were offered the full memu even though the kitchen was about to close. Lovely atmosphere in the pub. Large open fire and lots of local hostorical images to look at. Definitely coming backnagain

A perfect Inn. I don’t use the term lightly. In a quiet & sleepy town is the warm and welcoming heart - The Swan. Under new management, Chloe & Ross headed a family (it’s more than a workforce or team) of caring, compassionate, and friendly souls who make this the perfect place to stay in the area. From a warm and friendly welcome at check-in through evenings spent at the bar chatting with the family, to a genuinely emotional goodbye upon check-out, and, I have never felt more welcomed. With just six rooms, each unique, it gives the hosts time to get to know those who stay. That’s how it feels, not like a cold chain hotel, but that you’re checking in to stay with friends. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and the food.. Wow. I expected a burger, fish & chips and maybe a curry on the menu. But Morgan, the Chef has gone to great lengths to curate a culinary experience to tantalise the tastebuds and when the stomach reaches its limit, the eyes and the mind will still want to carry on, such is the delight of the cooking. I’ve already booked for next year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed because after any long day out, what more could you want, but to come home to family.

A great overnight stay in a friendly pub. The room was spacious and very clean and the inclusive breakfast was excellent. The cooked breakfast was one of the best I have had. The staff were great and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble.

Staff were friendly. But unfortunately i think they need to speak to the cleaning staff. Room was not cleaned, stains all behind the kettle and under the tv. Floor definitely had not been vacumed, pillows need throwing out, flannel in bathroom dirty. Take a look at the light, dust unbelievable. I would definitely stay in that room or put my head on that pillow. We got the keys, put our bags down, picked them up and walked out. How you have those reviews i never know. They certainly didnt stay in the room we were given.

Bit unfair but when we stayed it was a hot evening with no breeze so the room was rather toasty as there was only a small window in the bedroom. While there was a shower you had to use it in the bath tub which being over 70 we found uncomfortable to use. other rooms might have been better - we were in room 3.staff and breakfast arrangements good.

Lovely, quirky old property in Midhurst which is a very pretty town. The bed was very comfortable. The shower could get very hot so you need to be a little careful. It is a very old building so these things are to be expected. Breakfast was very good. All staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

The bed hurt my back a lot, as it was not firm enough and my lower back needs support. Even now it isn't fully recovered. The older maid seems to know how to open a suitcase lock and change the combination, so now I cannot get into the two backpacks I had locked. I have certainly never experienced that before! So the young maid who was there when I left got no tip from me. I didn't mean to hurt her feelings, but assumed tips may be shared.

Booked last minute for a trip to GoodWood the next day. Staff were very welcoming and kind. Would’ve loved to stay for longer and have a chance to try the food as it looked very good. Highly recommend.

We have stayed a few times. We are always made to feel very welcome. The staff have been brilliant. The owner is polite and well mannered to his guests and his staff. I witnessed him go out after a towns event with a bin bag and tidy up the square. This for me goes a long way in reading into someone’s character. This place is a gem and I’ll continue to use it for years to come if the service and staff maintain their attitude towards their customers.

We had a lovely stay at the swan inn. We had a kingsize bedroom with ensuite shower. The rooms are above the pub. The landlord & landlady are really friendly. The pub is very quaint as you would expect for the centre of midhurst. Breakfast was in-house on Saturday & Sunday and was delicious. Friday and Monday we had the choice of breakfast at comestibles or gartons cafe. Friday we wanted to go out early so chose a sausage sandwich and latte from comestibles and Monday we had a leisurely english breakfast at Gartons. Both we enjoyed. We ate twice in the pub restaurant and can recommend the burger and the lamb 3 ways. The other evening we ate at the Italian around the corner. We were lucky with the weather and sat on the outside seating each night, one night the local council had put an outdoor elvis tribute act and movie night on in the church square opposite the pub, which was fun. We will be staying again and have requested a booking for the same time next year.

Wonderful hotel in beautiful old English town! Parking is a challenge but we were lucky! Staff greeter was exceptionally friendly and helpful. No elevator (lift) so prepare for spiral stairs! Food was absolutely first-class as was the service. Highly recommended 👌

We were guests at a wedding in the Walled Garden, although no taxis available the venue is within easy walking distance of the Swan. Clean and great hospitality with a great choice of breakfast options.

We have stayed a few times. We are always made to feel very welcome. The staff have been brilliant. The owner is polite and well mannered to his guests and his staff. I witnessed him go out after a towns event with a bin bag and tidy up the square. This for me goes a long way in reading into someone’s character. This place is a gem and I’ll continue to use it for years to come if the service and staff maintain their attitude towards their customers.

Wonderful friendly team who are credit to owners, as they said what great people they were and how they enjoyed working for them :) Beautiful room which was spotless, bar area had a cosy feel, with great service and games! Breakfast was perfect too, could not fault and will definitely stay again x

Right nice place to stay! Very old pub with rooms, quaint, and the food was all excellent! Ita not a luxury place, I’d give it an 8.4 overall, but the price was right and we loved it.

A great overnight stay in a friendly pub. The room was spacious and very clean and the inclusive breakfast was excellent. The cooked breakfast was one of the best I have had. The staff were great and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble.

Terrific breakfast. We had a meal on Saturday evening which was also excellent. Bar was nice and buzzy and the service was first class. I’ve read a few reviews about the challenges with parking but it’s no more than several minutes away from a large and inexpensive car park. Room could do with a bit of TLC but given the price was very good value for money.
