Very nice well kept property with a feel for being in nature. The grounds/plantings are well kept and tropical feeling with a butterfly garden yard games, 2 pools and more. The only downside was no beach. But, if you are patient you can spot some very cool fish from the docks

We recently stayed at Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the resort is beautifully maintained, with clean, modern facilities and stunning interior design. Check in was a breeze, they served us chocolate martinis and cookies upon check in. The room is well appointed with nice furnishings. The pool and courtyard is very pretty. We did not use the pools but they were heated. You do have privileges at the hotel next door as well that do nightly bon fires which was neat. They also have a nice gym with most of the regular exercise stuff. The spa looked nice as well. Parking is $20 a night. I would stay here again. It is a bit pricy even at low season but it was newer and clean which is a plus in my books

Beautiful property and grounds. Loved the infinity pool and beach area by the sister property with hammocks. The shady courtyard with hammocks and lawn games next to the pools was excellent.

Nice and clean. Staff could be friendlier. One bartender makes for a long wait time for a drink, but they work hard. Surprise parking, pool and resort fees on check in weren’t cool. Great sunset views though.

We asked a question about drying our clothes on the app and noone ever rea hed out. The toilet paper had no holder and the side cabinet was broken where the microwave is. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and the beds were comfortable. We loved walking around the lighthouse and the docks.

There was no beachfront. Food at restaurant very good but service very bad. Towels not distributed evenly between the 2 pools. On had nice clean rolled towels at each chair. Other had big pile of used towels and no clean . For the rooms , decor very nice and they did clean the room every day.

Issues in the room like main room light and phone not working. I notify staff immediately the first night and nothing is done. Next night the sink plumbing fails and water floods the bathroom. They supposedly can’t find maintenance to address it until the next morning. Keep in mind I have to leave the hotel building and walk to the front desk located at the Lighthouse restaurant every time I want to address an issue since no one bothered to attempt to fix the phone issue (no telephone cable hooked up and unavailable for some reason). Some random guy who does not introduce himself is brought in by the maintenance guy who fixed sink to tell me he was out of town and the phone issues can’t be fixed unless we switch rooms. Ice machines don’t work. No pool towels ever. Room was not cleaned properly while we were out. For what we paid it is shameful accommodation.

After checking in, we got to our room to see the walls were covered in black mold with lots of humidity and a terrible odor. Was originally told I could not change rooms and was ineligible for a refund because I booked through a third party. After arguing a few minutes they gave me a mold-free room that was much better. The room rates were okay but when adding the resort fees and parking, the overall price was high. On a positive note, the hotels grounds were beautiful with a nice view around sunset and pool was nice.

The room was nice, had a view of the pool. Modern room, nice bathroom. Issues were the beds were uncomfortable. The pillows are like rocks, creating neck pain. The telephone in the room wasn’t hooked up which made it difficult to contact the front desk. The cleaning ladies were nice however they did not restock the bathroom with necessary paper products. They had to take toilet paper rolls off the cart twice. They also didn’t change the sheets and we were staying for 8 nights. Then the a/c motor went wonky which was loud. The front desk moved us into another room, which was fine. Not their fault and they took care of us right away. They also comped us breakfast. The people who work there were very kind and accommodating. Especially Diane Fox and Orlando. Expedia states that taxes and resort fees are included in the cost but the charges come up on the bill at checkout. We had our receipt showing that it was paid, they did credit us back for those charges. The hotel has some growing pains it’s still going through with the transition to Hilton. It is a beautiful property and so nice to use the Marriott side as well. We would stay there again even with a few mishaps.

Hotel is beautiful but the rooms are far too small for a family of 5. Cookies given at check-in which my kids absolutely loved. Hotel looks stunning and everyone was really excited. The room was beautiful but for 5 people the size wasn't good. Even 4 people would be a tight squeeze. A fridge was advertised and being USA and having just stayed in another hotel that had a full American sized fridge I expected an actual fridge not a small mini fridge and had bought fruit in the supermarket which we then couldn't store. The mini fridge was stocked and there was also a tray on the counter with wine, prosecco, sweets and a few other items. It was not clear whether this was complimentary or not. We asked a number of times and were told to check the price list in our room....there wasn't one hence we asked. We were eventually given a price list and these items were certainly NOT complimentary!! Pools were nice, towels provided, gym was good and nice and cool. Restaurant was very expensive and nothing my kids would eat on the menu so we went out for dinner. You can use the facilities at the sister hotel next door and we did go to the infinity pool and to use the beach as they wanted to swim. The beach consists of a small area of sand and some sun loungers but the water isn't accessible for swimming. There is a boat jetty though. Overall a lovely hotel for a small family or a couple but for us was just too small. We were there for 2 nights and couldn't have managed longer

This resort is a nice spot with really cute rooms. However there was a constant hum you could hear when lying down, not sure what that was. It has 2 pools available, plenty of lounge chairs, but the pools are pretty small. The lighthouse is cute and there's a small coffee shop where we got our morning coffees which were great. Check in was a bit rough, told us here you go you're in the big building and sent us off.. it was a nice resort to stay at because of a good location in the middle of the keys. No beach access though.

Rooms and hallways look like they were recently renovated. Hotel hallways and room’s decor were very color and beautiful. The only thing that was missing from our room was a mini fridge, which we really could’ve used. There was even an empty spot and plug where the mini fridge should’ve went.

When we checked in for our 2 Queen/sofabed room (I had messaged the hotel before arriving to make sure the room we had reserved was the one we would get) they put us in a King room. We were traveling with my 85 yo parents so everyone was exhausted so it was disappointing. When I went to the front desk to get it corrected, the front desk staff were irritated and not happy to get corrected. At that time I also asked about internet/breakfast/facilities because no information was provided and no book was in the room. I also confirmed that we had paid for included breakfast and asked where to go and how it was provided. Was told "just come here in the morning". We ended up being charged for breakfast for our whole stay - tried to get corrected at time of check out but were told they would have to talk to the manager - never got corrected. Beautiful hotel, great food but I would not recommend due to difficulty getting information and not getting amenities we paid for. Front desk staff were not helpful and the ones that were very friendly didn't know how to help. Unfortunate because the facilities are beautiful. There were also other restaurants on the property but we didn't know where they were or what was available to us.

While the resort & pools were very nice, I had the worst experience with them over charging me on so many things. When you are on vacation, who wants to deal with the stress of constantly being charged with things that you did not purchase. - It started with them charging my credit card for my entire stay even though I pre-paid. Was on the phone for over an hour trying to get it all sorted out. - Was charged a $100 incidental fee (this was understandable, but was in addition to them charging for my entire stay - was charged $44 for 4 High Noon (alcohol beverages) menu price was $8/ea - was charged $61.88 for God knows what… when I inquired, they said it was a parking fee, but I never filled out a form saying that I had a vehicle parked there. In addition, the lady at the check in desk was INCREDIBLY rude. She acted like I was disturbing her day by inquiring on the charges. I have yet to be refunded

Guest service was just ok at best! We arrived early for check in and they told us no rooms were available told us to stock around and they’d call/test us and that never happened! Asked for a room on the first floor if available as my husband has a bad knee… they told me they didn’t have any. When we arrived at our room very far and uncomfortable the sink in the bathroom had fallen off the cabinet! Once I called they changed our room like 20 minutes later to a room in the first floor. Now they have a room in the first floor?!? The restaurant on premises had a very limited menu. Just expected so much more

The resort is very nice with a beautiful pool, and overall we had a nice stay, but we were disappointed with a few things. First of all, we had to ask for handsoap in our room. When we needed anything, like extra towels, we had to go to the main building. There was no attendant in our building, and no one answered the phone. The cleaning crew left a rag in our room. We expected more from paying a daily resort fee of $35 that charged extra for many amenities. Also, we were charged $20 per night for parking, which we were not informed of until checkout.

Extremely unimpressed with my recent experience with this hotel. The only positive I can say is that most of the staff is nice. I booked through Expedia. When checking out they said they could email me my receipt for my stay. Big mistake bec I never got it and there was a large amount extra charged to my credit card that I didn't recognize. It took four phone calls to the hotel to try to get a receipt, so I could see what the charges were. I confirmed my email and even gave them a different email, but I still have no receipt. The girl at the front desks response was "well it's working for other guests". During my fourth phone call she was able to tell me that they never put in their system that I booked through Expedia where I prepaid for the majority of my stay, so the hotel charged me for the entire stay again. The manager was supposed to call me back yesterday, but I have yet to hear from anyone. Today, I called Hilton directly where he called the hotel again to state to me that "they already know about the refund it's on the managers desk". Not sure why they couldn't call me to let me know I would be getting the refund soon. Don't stay here it's absolutely not worth the hassle. I regret not going with my other hotel choice.

Terrific hands-on and friendly Operations Manager (A.J.)…most all of the staff were extremely well-trained in hospitality. There were a few however that were noticeably untrained, either new or lazy. Would highly recommend having coffee service available in the main building near the spa. The coffee site in the other building was not always convenient nor staffed all the time and often, when it was, the person did not know English or how to prepare and ring up the order. Did not like pets in the main dining areas. Pools were delightful and clean, as were the grounds and buildings. Restaurant and pool bar were excellent. Security appeared slack… anyone can come into the lodging building, use the pools or roam the halls, as a side door and a few other entrances were unlocked when we came and went. Most resorts have guests wear wrist bands to identify them as paying guests. Also, parked cars don’t have to have a guest tag to place on the car mirror or dash…why is there a daily parking fee if anyone can park there. Overall, during our 10-day stay, the good/great outweighed the not so good, and I would still return as well as recommend to others.

We have always loved this resort. Right in the heart of marathon so you’re nearby a multitude of local restaurants. The restaurant on property always has amazing food and drinks. Worth a stop even if you aren’t staying at the resort. One of my favorite restaurants there.

This is a beautiful property, well laid out with a mellow vibe yet lux. It centers around the outdoor dining/bar that looks over the pool and then beyond that a lighthouse in the marina. Very charming! What a view! There's another more private pool too in that's your thing. Location was great next to a bunch of other dining options that you could walk to. My only issue was that the speed of service at the restaurant/bar was not as fast as a lux environment would deserve. But overall I would definitely go back here, I had a very pleasant experience. The whole resort is very user friendly.

Faro Blanco resort was beautiful. The setting was lovely and relaxing Rooms were exceptional, beds very comfortable. The pools were warm and quiet surrounded by Palm trees and enough chairs and tables. There waa a bonfire at night on the grounds and a large chess set to play with in the parkland. What can I say about the restaurant? The chef prepared fabulous meals and took into account I was gluten free and I was always certain I had safe choices The vew from the restauant and bar looked over the yachts in the harbour so we had a lot to watch while we enjoyed our meals. I would definately stay here again

Amazing !! We went for a weekend with the girls and we had so much fun- they have everything you need there to have fun with the kids , have a great couple night . Bar - live music - pool - Drink from the bar were amazing/ the only thing we didn’t like was the food at the restaurant their breakfast were not good at all .
