Floating Sea Cove Resort & Marina

We never got out of our car. 1. windows are missing 2. Big gap around the A/C units 3. The dock was all taped off. unusable This is not somewhere a would take a 4yr old.

It's very simple room, clean, not fancy stuff but worked for me. I was looking for a place to rest one, two nights. Good parking & very nice stuff...

definitely should be removed from expedia. It was absolutely the worst. no coffee in room, no wifi, no pool, no water pressure hardly any hot water, air conditioner was old beat up on in window, if needed heat there was none. Very difficult to find and office only open 1 hour in morning then not open til 3pm and no one answers the phone. definitely would never recommend

Sea Cove shouldn’t be advertised as a “Resort & Marina” because it’s just a motel and there’s no marina. The floor in my room was dirty and so was the bathroom. Hairs throughout room. No bathroom mat to stand on after getting out of the shower and no entrance mat to wipe your shoes on prior to entering room. I didn’t expect the Ritz Carlton, but it was only slightly better than camping.

Docks where super nice but the rooms ESPECIALLY the beds leave a lot to be desired

Runaway from this place! Pictures are very deceiving! No pool! No beach! It is not worth the money I spent and it's not refundable! Cracked floors. MOLD on floor in bathroom! RUN! RUN!

No pool, Windows Hvac very noise, matress very bad

Road noise and vehicle lights came in late night at beach all day salt water no clean towels had to use old used towels. No mariner two docks one side wood other concrete would not let me use as i had our boat. Said debris from hurricane Erma in water as at low tide did not see anything and told them i take full responsibility still said no. Should not advertise marina i you cant use docks. Also no wifi.

Very friendly property manager, room was clean, and the parking was fantastic.

Was horrible. Dirty room, bed old, smelled, no amenities, dock unsafe to even walk on. Owners place hooked to room amd could hear them talking like was in room with us. And they where loud

Perhaps it's acceptable for a 2-star motel, but it was my first time paying $154 per night for a room, which is comparable to some of the cheapest motels in Florida priced at about $49 per night. The room had a strong mold smell, and no effort was made to clean under either of the beds. Trash, beer bottle caps, and other debris were present. One bed had a strange white substance on the cover, prompting me to avoid it and sleep fully clothed on the other bed. Additionally, the toilet bowl was positioned a foot away from the bathroom wall, requiring one to press their face against the opposite wall to sit on it.

Room was filled with flies, and dead flies on the floor, wall had blood stains on it

I found bed bugs and had to leave!! The property manager advised they will call in a professional and determine if my statement is true, and possibly issue a refund.

It was really disgusting, roaches everywhere. There was hair all over the floor

The property was really very very dirty. I had hairs in my sheets, an insect 💩 on my table. Hairs in the sink, dirty shower...

The room was way beyond dirty. Stains on the walls, smell was terrible. Bathroom has a half inch of dirt on the floor (mixed dirt with hair). Shower tub was disgustingly dirty. Toilet bowl was probably installed in early 70's. I regret for not taking pictures, just because nobody should experience this. And it's not pet friendly, imagine that. I think your pets would never let you go back there. Oh, and the fridge was another level of experience. If you dare, you'll know what I'm talking about. We had a chance to see the cleaning person, I don't want to be rude or mean but I got an idea why this place was neglected. BTW, if we tried harder we could find an amazing room in Hampton Inn hotel, possibly for less money. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! For your sake.

The room was very dirty, with hair everywhere. The shower was incredibly small—about 2x2 feet. The door knob was so loose it was about to fall off. The smell in the room was awful. Definitely not worth staying here.

This place was absolutely disgusting. A ton of hair, stains, bugs, what looked like puke all in the bed. The one half role of toilet paper had brown stuff on it. Even the pictures on the walls had nasty stains on them. And red stuff that looked like blood on the doorframe to the bathroom. Compleatly unbareable. Was not able to stay there and they would not refund us. Compleatly horrible experience.

Room can use a REALLY good cleaning, fresh paint, shower faucets are rusty and rusty liquid stains are all over the walls under shower faucet. there are holes in ceilings, floors and bathroom were VERY dirty, floor base are moldy and in bad shape, Spider webs on ceiling walls, no hairdryer, no microwave or kitchen. I sank in the middle of the beds as the matresses are very old, No king size bed accommodation. Internet signals are super weak unless you get close to office. If owners would put more TLC into it, it would be a gem. Sadly!

Easily the worst place I’ve ever stayed at. Room was not ready at check in time. The entire room as a mix of poorly repaired items including the bathroom sink and surround. Fan with no blades. The door was no where near tight or really secure. Other tenant noise was almost unbearable along with road noise.

The room was very spacious but lacked amenities. Advertised free wifi only existed in driveway or front porch. No coffee maker, no microwave, no hangers for the rod. Just because a place is older doesn’t mean it can’t be better equipped and maintained.

It was a value priced location halfway to Key West which is what we were looking for. For that reason alone, it was fine. There are a few restaurants within walking distance which was nice. I kind of thought it was a floating resort and marina as indicated by their name. It turns out that all the floating bungalows were destroyed in a hurricane a few years back and there is no plan on rebuilding them. I believe it's time to rename the website. The owner was nice. Note that there is not a view of water from the rooms and there is no Wi-Fi available in the rooms.

This is about a $30 room, not $230. Very dirty. Room is 25 feet from U. S. 1, so it's very noisy and unsafe. No hand towels. No towell or toilet paper holder. Hair's on the toilet. Night stand is a filing cabinet. Blood smear on hallway wall. Rusty refrigerator. Rusty with holes in shower curtain rod. No coffee maker. Medicine cabinet held together with duct tape. Both Mattress need thrown out. Springs poke you in the back. You should NEVER recommend this again. Plus, nothing floats. It's not a resort!

The place is old, the room was small but the price was good for something in the middle Keys. The room itself was obviously kept clean and maintained. I would like to see a newer mattress and a quieter air conditioner but overall I was pleased with my stay.

The floors were dirty. The beds were terrible. They had crunchy plastic on the mattresses (maybe that’s a good thing) and were very spongy. There was nothing floating about it. Gravel parking lot. Some of the windows in our unit were boarded up. The AC was a very noisy window unit. Would not recommend. Wish I could get my $$$ back.

If you are looking for a 4 star resort keep looking. But if you are looking for old Key's style charm at a great price this is the best deal in Marathon. The staff Jamie, Mike and Heather were very accommodating and gave Great recommendations on local food spots.

Our flight and rental car took longer so they didn’t leave an option for us to check into our spot other than the small print under check in instructions after it was required we communicated with them if check in time, even though we have not experienced that with any other stay in the keys. There was no answer, I was left stranded with my children at 1 am with no where to go. So far no refund!

Wasn't a friendly place at all asked towels were for some bath towels received them probably 7 hour's later stayed for 2 nights never seen a house keeper or anyone It was dirty, food on the floors, ants in the bathroom and towels were dirty took about 7 hour's to get clean ones, floors had hair and dust and food everywhere

Waited 7 days to get clean towels. Room was never cleaned. No maid service. Only someone in office a few hours during the afternoon.

If you're looking for a five star quality hotel to take the wife on your honeymoon, this is not for you. If you're looking for a place for you and your homies, to stay in A convenient area for fishing lobstering or just getting out. This is the perfect place. While it has not been updated in years, It was very convenient because you could feel free to come home after diving, snorkeling or boating, and not worry about messing stuff up with all the wet feet and clothes And such? The bungalow rooms were very spacious. The lady running the office is the biggest reason I will be back. She was very kind, talkative and helpful. I stopped by the place when I arrived in marathon, just to know where it was. And she told me I could actually check-in 3 hours early. Then, when I told her me and the granddaughter would be snorkeling On checkout day she gave me an extra hour to shower after being in a salt water, which is very rare for hotels these days. Couple minor problems with the room and she was on top of it immediately and even offered to give me another room which I refused since I was only there for one night Anyway. She by far was one of the best office People i've ever dealt with at any florida keys hotels and if I ever open a hotel business, I will be offering her the top management job as this is the type of people you want running your business. Five stars for the convenience and cleanliness of the room, but ten stars four, the office lady. I will be back soon.

Most upper class travelers would find it unacceptable. But for the money, it’s a great value compared to other area properties. Jamie was welcoming and gave excellent advice to a first time Keys visitor.

Jim and Mike are great! Nice guys very welcoming and friendly. This is basic lodging. It’s clean. We booked last minute and stayed just one night. Wasn’t expecting much based on some of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. The place was exactly what we needed. It’s very basic.The price was right especially compared to the really high prices in the keys. Great location, near restaurants. Don’t hesitate to stay here.

If you call you get a recorded message. Unless is between the hours of 11 to 12 and afternoon 3 till midnight (???) Same at the office (a small trailer) is unoccupied unless for the same times as the phone The room looked and felt clean except for the floor. AC worked and no other comments
