The wait staff was excellent. We stayed in the jacuzzi garden room…was more like a cold tub. All of downtown Tulum was within walking distance. Good selection of restaurants within a half mile.

I picked the hotel on my way to Tulum, didn’t have a lot of time to look for one, this one and some others were my options and I decided to get this one, close to the Center of tulum, but not quite on the Main Street, so I wanted to be a little quiet and close to everything. And the hotel looked nice on the pictures, however when I arrived, it was even better in real life! Pickers did not do the justice. Very beautiful and nice pool and clean and lots of plants! Just looked gorgeous! The restaurant in the hotel is amazing, great look and food was outstanding! Service was so good! Enrique was great, the bartender! We asked him to be the best margaritas in town, since we strangled to find a good one while we were in Mexico, and he made the best one from whole trip! Thanks to him! Very nice guy! The breakfast was great! I literally wanted to try everything on the menu since everything we ordered was great! The atmosphere was awesome…we didn’t want to leave the hotel, but due to many things we wanted to see in tulum, we had to leave the hotel to do other things! The waitress in the morning was very nice! I don’t know her name, but she worked on the morning for breakfast! I’ll be back to this awesome hotel! We felt safe on that area. Also big thanks to the concierge guys: Brian and Jafeth! They were very nice and told us where to go and what to visit, all recommendations were great! Thanks again to everyone and We will be back!

10 stars absolutely! Stayed for 5 perfect nights, room was always clean and had great sleeps, we enoyed the personal bath once you figure out the water it is great ! The hotel is close to main strip with lots of restaurants and shops, ask staff about near by cenotes and lagoons! The people here are exceptional! Always eager to help with a big smile! Beatrice and “EL” at the cafe are phenomenal people and the food is incredible, would come back again and would definitely recommend! Thank you Xscape for an unforgettable experience, we loved visiting Tulum ❤️

This is a small, quiet hotel with a bit of an artistic, primitive vibe. Very kind staff. Relaxing. Spacious room with very comfortable king size bed. Great swimming pool & pretty outdoor area.

Petit hôtel sympa avec un bel exterieur. Chambre plutôt propre (aux standards mexicains). Personnel très gentil. Location de vélos et scooters dans l'hôtel, très pratique et prix raisonnables. Par contre la pression dans la douche est vraiment très faible, impossible pour une personne avec des cheveux un peu longs de se les laver.

I booked the “luxury room” with the jetted tub for 5 nights. Before I even checked in I tried to cancel one night and they wouldn’t allow it. The street that the hotel on is pretty sketchy, but once you come into the gated areas it’s super nice! Lots of plants and a pool. The restaurant was really good. The jetted tub in the room was huge and there was not enough hot or even warm water to fill it, so we paid an extra $500 for NOTHING. It also had a super stink smell. The bathroom door was messed up, the shower didn’t have anything to block the water from going everywhere. It wasn’t the cleanest, and the bedding smelt bad like wet cloth that wasn’t dried properly. We asked them to change it and it still smelt bad. It was super loud 2/4 nights we were there. I would not recommend staying at this hotel for your entire trip, unless you want to feel like you’re roughing it. It’s not as good as the listings make it out to be and not worth the price.

This review is completely about hotel management. They sell the bath, like a jacuzzi, yet there is not enough warm water to fill the damn thing. So, They falsely advertise. You know this is Mexico and even if you report the problem not much they will do. All I can do is write a review so you don't make the same mistake. I paid $1330 for the their best room(!) don't make the same mistake, believe the reviews written above, and just do not pay more than $99 for a room. I ended up staying in the room because I had no choice. Even the front desk agreed, Jacuzzi is not working and the owner is not doing anything about it. (!) Do yourself a favor and go for cheaper options. Even if it is Tulum, this is Mexico, not Ibiza nor Vegas, or St Tropez. Best of luck with your stay. Mr. Lennon, you are an awful Manager. It is a crime to not honor what you advertise. Meanwhile, I appreciate hotels.com trying to do the best they can to resolve the issue. All in all, this is a 0/5. One more note if you rent a scooter make sure there is gas in it. (!)

Llegamos para las media noche. El check in fue muy rápido. La habitación fue muy cómoda, limpia y silenciosa. Nos despertamos temprano por un compromiso. Pero el tiempo que estuvimos ahí estuvo todo estuvo perfecto.

***I stayed in room X1. The reason why I booked the suite is because of the Jacuzzi. Didn’t realize how big it was until front desk took me to the room. It literally fits about seven adults. It was insane and I was super happy. I booked this room!!! *** I love the property. The staff are super nice, and extremely thoughtful. The pool guy took all his belongings out-of-the-way just so I can get a picture of the pool when he was working on it. Franco and Mario in the restaurant are wonderful. Ivanna at the frint desknis super sweet and full of recommendations. Her how I had to go to reception the evening before to ask for two pillowcases. Only to realize the stinging mildew smell was coming from my pillow and not the pillowcases. She was modified and contacted her supervisor straight away. ***If you are the property owner or manager reading this review, please FiIX the side door in X1. I told the evening reception that my door, although is locked…still opens when you pull the door knob. She told me not to worry, and I should be safe. I slept without incident…but still fix the door. My room was spaciius. Honestly, it was difficult trying to decide which rooms to book here; as they are alll unique!!! I am coming back to do the apartment and rooms w/ rooftop terrace. There is a sushi restaurant, a garden, dining area, and pool. Ask front sesk for pool towels.

It was worse. Very dirty property. Dust all around on the floor,your feet will turn black with dust. The Bathroom was even worst. Dirty & the toilet bowl filthy. They had some strange pee coloured liquid in the flush. Bad showers too. Dirty sink as well. Avoid this hotel at all cost. Look for other options. They even breached privacy by coming inside the room for room service although we mentioned we don't want service as the luggage was spread out & open. Overall poor experience. They don't seem to care, the manager looked inexperienced & did not do anything about the complaints.

Plus jamais cet hôtel. Ayant eu un problème de Clim on nous a changé de chambre. Et quelle chambre !! Vielle, cachée au fin fond de l’hôtel. Robinet cassé, draps tachés et serviettes de toilettes trouées. On aurait dit la chambre du gardien. Même pas un mot d’excuse. C’est honteux de proposer cette chambre

This hotel was super pathetic! Cockroaches and insects inside the room, bathroom is dirty and there is no view from balcony as there are lot of overgrown plants! The wifi was broken for first 2 days i arrived, dont come here if you dont wanna ruin your tulum holidays! Only the receptionist was helpfull

We had a fantastic stay at Xscape Tulum. Our room was lovely and very clean, the hotel location was a short walk to the main strip of shops and restaurants, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the restaurant Casa Mia had delicious food and cocktails. Would really recommend this hotel to anyone hoping to have a relaxing stay in Tulum in a close location to the busy centre.

Staff very friendly. Place very clean. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Restaurants have great food.

The fridge was unplugged when i got in the room, the key to unlock thr door was sticking. The drapes are hung with actual zip ties. There is no tv in the rooms, the "hot tub" is flithy and outside the door to the room where anyone can walk by. The pillows have weird black spots on them. The sheets are not clean, or something is stuck on, like glue had been dumped. There is the most annoying wicker headboard full of dust and cobwebs, and is annoyingly loud if you move the slightly bit.do not recommend.

Walls our paper thin so you can hear everyone talking in their rooms and the hallway. Music stays pumping until 3-4am so be prepared for little to no quality sleep. Internet worked for about 1 hour after check-in and then completely failed the rest of the stay. Had to go down to pool area to get decent connection. The reviews on this are so inflated - I believe they pay bots or customers to make you think it's rated 9+. Manager was horrendously unhelpful and totally smug when I passed on this feedback. I checked out on Jan 3rd in the morning and he was the manager at that time. Words cannot express how useless he was to rectify any of my concerns. What a waste of money.

Günstige Unterkunft. Für eine Nacht ok. Die Außenanlage ist schön und sauber angelegt. Das Zimmer ist einfach eingerichtet. Ohne Fön und Fernseher, aber mit Klimaanlage. Man hört Nachts die Straßenhunde und die vorbeifahrenden Autos.

Musique trop forte juste en bas de notre chambre d'hôtel. On aurait pu nous avertir, nous avions hâte d'aller nous reposer ailleurs...

The surrounding area is a little run down. But the actual property is very nice if you want to RELAX. Not a party type property, no phone, tv or strong Wi-Fi. But very nice for a romantic getaway that doesn't break the bank.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. This hotel is on a very busy street and we unfortunately had a room that was streetside. Traffic started at 5am and was LOUD. The room is bare bones , no drinking water unless you purchase. The door only has a push lock and no deadbolt, so not very secure. The pool is nice and clean and grounds are nice. Not a bad place for 1 night but wouldn't do an extended stay here.

Outdated, no TV and interior not safe. I had requested first floor, I received a confirmation but ended on the 3rd floor with stairs!

We booked Xscape last minute and we’re not disappointed. The best part by far was the staff, size of rooms and walking distance downtown. Downtown has way better local food options than the hotel strip. They also rent scooters which is a must. We will be back!

Wonderful staff; the staff went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant, enjoyable and comfortable. Specially the reception and the restaurant staff.

We were booked for four days, we left after three. One day we returned after exploring to find the housekeeper took all our loose pesos, assuming it was theirs? The bathroom window could not be locked, which made us feel unsafe. When it rained, the water built up by our door and came into the room. The third night, a family checked into the room next to us with loud children, and a baby who screamed like a car alarm. The noise continued the next morning, and we wanted to escape! The front desk ignored our dissatisfaction and complaints and charged us for the next day anyway.

I am stranded in Toronto. Could not make it into Tulum today. I sent a message to the property and they didn’t even bother to respond. So I guess my reservation meant nothing to them, they are happy to keep the money while I am stuck missing out on my vacation.

El hotel me pareció increíble, tranquilo, sus áreas verdes bien cuidadas y la zona de alberca limpia. El check in fue super rápido y la habitación me resulto super acogedora. El personal muy amable y dispuesto a atender dudas y dar apoyo si uno requiere de alguna sugerencia. Muy buen hospedaje.

Xscape hotel is a beautiful place to be when visiting Tulum, the comfort and design of the buildings, gardens and pool makes it a very inviting and pleasurable. Diana and Valeria the Reception Desk employees went above and beyond trying to help us make our stay more enjoyable, they gave us great suggestions on where to go, gave us a useful map when we rented a couple of their rental bikes to enjoy visiting the town. They also gave us the option to leave our belongings on our last day after we check out. Upon our arrival back,we were able to use the pool and later have access to a full bathroom,so we could freshen up and continue our trip to our next location. Their friendliness, knowledge and willingness to help us was truly appreciated. We will for sure be back to Xscape Tulum

Beautiful property, matched the Tulum vibe we all imagine. Area surrounding is very local, but it is conveniently located to the center of town. Staff was exceptional!

Bom hotel, mas um pouco caro para o que oferece. Nosso quarto dava de frente para a piscina, mas as plantas do canteiro da varanda estão tao altas que nao tem vista alguma. Frustrante. Chegamos um pouco antes do horário do check-in, mesmo assim só liberaram o quarto 20 minutos após as 15h. A rua do hotel é um pouco insegura.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff was very helpful, especially with organizing logistics. The restaurant food is decent, and the pool is beautiful The downsides - the bed was not very comfortable, and there is A LOT of construction happening in this area of town at this time. This can be quite noisy. In addition, the main road of Tulum is nearby, and there are a lot of very loud trucks that pass by at all hours It's about a 40 minute walk from the beach; there are taxis but they are very overpriced. There are bikes that can get you there, though they are one-speed and pretty heavy. All of this would apply to any hotel in this part of town though! It's something I wish I had known beforehand though

Tienen pocas opciones para comer, los paquetes de desayuno son caros, es mejor búscar opciones fuera. Las opciones individuales son muy básicas, no hay una correlación entre calidad y precio

Es un lugar muy ameno. El servicio de desayuno (los paquetes) y el de comida (Kukulcán roll y tacos de camarón) muy ricos!!

Hôtel proche du centre ville mais dans un endroit calme. L’extérieur correspond parfaitement aux photos du site. Beaucoup de verdure et une très belle piscine. Il y a également un restaurant dans l’hôtel, qui propose beaucoup de spécialités et qui s’est adapté à nos demandes un peu spéciales lorsque nous sommes tombés malades. Grand merci à Carlos pour sa serviabilité !
