No restaurant, breakfast only but lovely people amazing views. They will look after you but not much in the way locally so be prepared to order Uber-eats. A bit isolated, rooms clean and quite quaint. Aircon, beds and showers all lovely. So little there reception not open for long but WhatsApp group allows you to stay in contact.

Stayed 5 nights

We stayed in the honeymoon villa, which is probably the best of the private lodges. But it's not worth the price and the photos are very misleading. The private pool is just a pond with loads of tadpoles and frogs - which make an awful noise all through the night so you can't get a good night sleep. There were frequent power cuts, a common occurence in South Africa (known as loadshedding), but there is limited to no back up, even from the solar panels. During one 12 hour power outage, our solar apparently ran down to 12%, despite us being purposefully out all day so hadn't used any electric, so they turned all the power off completely - yet the main house where the owner lives still had the private pool pump working! We were definitely misled by the staff regarding the electric outages. Breakfast isn't included with the villas and is definitely not worth the 200 zar per person; it was tiny, mediocre and lame. The worst thjng is, the place could be absolutely idyllic, if they actually cared about their guests and gave them what they paid for. You cannot, these days, expect people to be on holiday and have no electricity - so no wifi, no telephone which required mains connection, no means to call emergency services if needed - it's a recipe for a lawsuit. I would never return and I would never recommend anyone stay here, when there are so many lovely alternatives in the area. It's so short sighted because there really is so much potential!

STUNNING views. Amazing staff. Great accomodations. Distance from Cape Town will require a car or Uber. Very peaceful property.
