Booked to be in central Helsinki for the duration of a football tournament, wanting to be sure we saw Helsinki whilst there on the non-playing days. Pleased we booked breakfast in advance as the on-site price offered seemed relatively high (even by Helsinki's own standards). Private taxi transfer from airport can be fixed cost circa Euros 35 - 40, we went by train which was efficient but then charged €20 for a few blocks taxi ride (with case). Obviously went back to airport more effectively. It was staff holiday time, so hotel evening restaurant not tried except for breakfast, which provided a good range, well stocked, well laid out that set us up well for the day. A reasonable range of restaurant options locally but eating out in Helsinki is not cheap! The hotel is quite well positioned in terms of access to transport and attractions. Bar area could perhaps offer some more comfortable seating options, perhaps that's the Finnish way. There was a sauna on site, but we did not try it As always understanding your needs in terms of Helsinki card passes and transport passes difficult to be accurately understood on day one but by working at it and delaying the start date (we had the luxury of being a couple of early days being booked up with other activities) meant we had time to work it out and use them relatively effectively. English widely spoken staff on front desk very helpful with enquiries also Tourist info Office (when we got there - Cathedral Square).

This was one of the best value and most enjoyable hotels I have stayed at in Europe. Location was very convenient to shopping, public transport, and dining, and in a historic neighborhood. Staff were very helpful, even when we arrived at 1 AM after a long flight. The night staff was able to loan us a USB charger at 2 AM which we needed urgently to recharge a medical device when our "universal" plug did not fit. The breakfast buffet was delicious and to be honest, the best such meal I have had in my life. I was here for an athletic event, and used the exercise room--well-equipped and very clean, if a bit overheated. Staff were unfailingly helpful with our inquiries about public transport, places to run, etc. They were even willing to store our luggage when we went o Estonia for a few days, even though we were moving on when we returned, not staying there again. If I ever return to Finland, I will stay at this hotel if at all possible; if not, at least eat breakfast there!

I recently spent 4 nights at the Indigo Hotel (Boulevard) Helsinki. I found it to be excellent and good value for money. The hotel is modern and in a good location to explore central Helsinki. It's about a 15 minute walk from the central railway station and there is a local metro station in Kampii which is a few minutes away. It's also 10 minutes walk from the historical area. There's plenty of eating places nearby and the main shopping area is close by too. I booked a standard room which was perfect for my needs. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was very powerful and everything was modern and worked. The room was very clean and nicely decorated and had a kettle, coffee maker, iron, safe, fridge amongst other things. I chose to add a breakfast option. The breakfast was very good with a very good selection of food. All the staff I met were very helpful, professional and friendly. I'd happily stay there again.

Comparé à mes diverses expériences des 4* et 5* (en plus de 10 ans), l’hôtel ne mérite certainement ni le qualificatif de merveilleux et encore moins de fabuleux ! Il est certes bien situé, la chambre premium est de taille correcte avec un bon couchage et la salle de bain bénéficie d’une grande douche à l’italienne MAIS pour atteindre l’un des deux niveaux cités, il y a de la marge. Le lobby concentre dans le même espace, un comptoir d’accueil, un espace d’attente, un accès au bar et l’accès aux deux ascenseurs… Le petit déjeuner est servi dans un espace contiguë… pas adapté à la période estivale où la majorité des clients arrive 15/20 mn avant la clôture du « buffet »… résultat 20 minutes de queue pour accéder à une table. Un buffet sans rien d’exceptionnel, sauf son prix : 29,50€ ! Dommage que la coupe et la bouteille de Prosecco (10,50€ les 20 cl) vidée le soir, aient été laissés sur le meuble le lendemain malgré le nettoyage de la chambre. Bref, un hôtel de chaîne, confortable, et adapté à un court séjour si l’hébergement ne fait pas partie du charme recherché pour compléter le voyage.

El hotel está fantástico, pero hubo varios fallos o detalles importantes, que hizo que no fuera placentera al 100%. El aire acondicionado no funciona. Seis noches pasamos con 2 ventiladores. Vale que había una anormal y prolongada ola de calor, pero si anuncian que tienen aire acondicionado... Nos tocaba dormir con la ventana y puerta al pasillo entreabierta... Durante toda estancia estuvimos sin gel de ducha desde el primer dia. A pesar de dejar notas para que lo repusieran... No lo hicieron... Desayuno bueno y bien atendido. Todo el personal del hotel excelente. Buena localización. Puedes ir a pie a todos lados. Ducha y toallas excelentes. Tuvimos incluido el minibar al escoger una twin superior. En resumen es altamente recomendable, a pesar de no poder dormir bien por el calor.

Hotel in a good location for eateries & for sightseeing the city. Great room on the 4th floor, good amount of space & cleaned to a very high standard. Comfy beds & very quiet. Wonderful location! Breakfast selection was very good. We got a room adapted for disabled people even though we didn't book one. It was spacious and the beds were electrically articulated which was fantastic. The only negative was that the shower didn't have screens and the floor of the whole bathroom got too wet.

Second time staying here and the stay was as good as first time. Great location within walking distance of attractions and station. Decent sized room with fantastic bathroom and shower that is superb. Breakfast is excellent and staff are all very friendly

The room was excellent, plenty of room and plenty of drawers for clothes which is often not the case. The breakfast was excellent, a call out to the young Indian guy who was extremely helpful and courteous. The complimentary mini bar was first class and was replenished every day, I have been to other hotels where I have had to ask them to do this

This was one of the best value and most enjoyable hotels I have stayed at in Europe. Location was very convenient to shopping, public transport, and dining, and in a historic neighborhood. Staff were very helpful, even when we arrived at 1 AM after a long flight. The night staff was able to loan us a USB charger at 2 AM which we needed urgently to recharge a medical device when our "universal" plug did not fit. The breakfast buffet was delicious and to be honest, the best such meal I have had in my life. I was here for an athletic event, and used the exercise room--well-equipped and very clean, if a bit overheated. Staff were unfailingly helpful with our inquiries about public transport, places to run, etc. They were even willing to store our luggage when we went o Estonia for a few days, even though we were moving on when we returned, not staying there again. If I ever return to Finland, I will stay at this hotel if at all possible; if not, at least eat breakfast there!

Trevligt hotell, perfekt läge. Dock trist att de inte svarar på mail om eventuell kvarglömd kavaj. Att på det sättet bli ghostad efter tre nätter som gäst känns inte bra. Hotellet borde ha kunnat svara, även om kavajen inte återfunnits.

I recently spent 4 nights at the Indigo Hotel (Boulevard) Helsinki. I found it to be excellent and good value for money. The hotel is modern and in a good location to explore central Helsinki. It's about a 15 minute walk from the central railway station and there is a local metro station in Kampii which is a few minutes away. It's also 10 minutes walk from the historical area. There's plenty of eating places nearby and the main shopping area is close by too. I booked a standard room which was perfect for my needs. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was very powerful and everything was modern and worked. The room was very clean and nicely decorated and had a kettle, coffee maker, iron, safe, fridge amongst other things. I chose to add a breakfast option. The breakfast was very good with a very good selection of food. All the staff I met were very helpful, professional and friendly. I'd happily stay there again.

The hotel location is excellent, Short walking distance to everywhere, but in a very quite and nice area called design area. Staff are extremely nice, helpful and knowledgeable about putting together an enjoyable day. Rooms are very clean and functional, although they are not that big. Breakfast buffet was great but had the same offering every day. We highly recommend this hotel for everyone with high expectations. This hotel meets all of them.

Comparé à mes diverses expériences des 4* et 5* (en plus de 10 ans), l’hôtel ne mérite certainement ni le qualificatif de merveilleux et encore moins de fabuleux ! Il est certes bien situé, la chambre premium est de taille correcte avec un bon couchage et la salle de bain bénéficie d’une grande douche à l’italienne MAIS pour atteindre l’un des deux niveaux cités, il y a de la marge. Le lobby concentre dans le même espace, un comptoir d’accueil, un espace d’attente, un accès au bar et l’accès aux deux ascenseurs… Le petit déjeuner est servi dans un espace contiguë… pas adapté à la période estivale où la majorité des clients arrive 15/20 mn avant la clôture du « buffet »… résultat 20 minutes de queue pour accéder à une table. Un buffet sans rien d’exceptionnel, sauf son prix : 29,50€ ! Dommage que la coupe et la bouteille de Prosecco (10,50€ les 20 cl) vidée le soir, aient été laissés sur le meuble le lendemain malgré le nettoyage de la chambre. Bref, un hôtel de chaîne, confortable, et adapté à un court séjour si l’hébergement ne fait pas partie du charme recherché pour compléter le voyage.

This is an excellent hotel in every way. The room was comfortable, elegant and and very clean. Perfectly quiet too. Same for all the other spaces. The breakfast was superb and accommodated all common dietary needs (vegan etc.) Staff were exceptionally nice and friendly and helpful. The location is central enough, 15 minute walking distance of the railway station. Really I can’t think of a single thing to improve, and I would book a room there again without hesitation.

Ich bin nach 3,5 Jahren wieder das 1. Mal im Indigo gewesen. Das Hotel ist nach wie vor toll und die Lage lässt sich kaum toppen. Leider ist das Frühstück lange nicht mehr so gut und reichhaltig wie es damals war. Damals war es wirklich hervorragend, nun würde ich es als durchschnittlich bewerten.

Das Hotel war wirklich gut. Man konnte zu Fuß viele Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das einzige, was mir nicht gefallen hat, war das teure Frühstück, das leider im Zimmerpreis nicht eingeschlossen war.
