We really enjoyed the amenities, upscale vibe, and the value of this hotel. The breakfast had a great presentation and was substantial. The pool / courtyard was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great value. Was an easy and safe walk to the beach and the restaurant and shopping strip. We would stay here again

Everything was great! AC worked well, the staff was helpful and pleasant. The free breakfast was excellent, hot cooked every morning, about 1/4-1/2 mile walk to the beach, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The pool area was beautiful. They also had a security guard out at night. Pet friendly hotel too.

It is a nice hotel. The problem is the elevator wasn’t working, so we had to walk up and down 1/3 flight of stair. When we leave we will have to carry our luggage up those stairs to get to the elevator. Elevators are really toooooo small for the size of the building only 6 people can ride at a time (tight). The gym was being worked on and therefore not able to use.

A wonderful and relaxing stay at Oceano. I was there for 5 nights and would recommend it highly to anyone visiting Jaco. The accommodation was beautiful. The apartment allocated was spacious, quiet, very comfortable and cleaned every day. The food in the hotel (breakfast and in the evening) was first class. I used the pool area and gym each day and both were very good. The pool area was very relaxing. The hotel had a very relaxed feel about it. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly, helpful and professional. The reception staff were able to arrange tours of the local area. The accommodation is about 10 mins walk to the beach which was fine. There were plenty of restaurants / bars shops within 5 mins walk of the hotel. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Jaco.

Everything was great. Except for 3 things. 1-shower door needs a water deflecter seal to prevent water from getting on the floor. #2- loud construction noise on the gym. #3- bathroom fan cover fell off. Luckly, it didn't hit anyone on the head. The staff, location, Convience, and conditions were great. We enjoyed our stay.

Pool was nice. But workers were replacing the pool deck while we were there - smelly and noisy. Unpleasant. Service level from staff was generally uninspiring except for a couple of individuals. The guy at the front desk is ambivalent/insousiant. Francesca is a star, as is Dixie at the bar. Cleaning staff were nice and effective. Hotel is a 3 star by North American standards. Breakfast was not good - eggs were weird and what they called bacon miniature in size and like cardboard. Pancakes with fruit were good, however. They take the coffee station away at 10 am SHARP!! Can't give the guests anything for free, after all! Typical Jaco tourist trap - if you want a margarita with crushed ice, well that's an extra buck, otherwise it's on the rocks. The nickel and dime approach is annoying.

The property was beautiful. It was very clean and smelled good. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was great with a 10 min walk to the strip. The pool was nice and clean. The food at Moby's was amazing eveyday with fresh fruit. My only complaint is that the bathroom lights are too dim for hair and makeup purposes. Other than that, it was a dream vacation.

Lovely hotel with spacious and clean rooms, very friendly staff, great service and complementary additions, nice breakfast options and good routine for serving it (by order instead of in a buffet, hence more hygienic and with less food waste). The poolside premises is accessible, neat and calm, and the pool itself is a pure pleasure - clean and spacious; the whole experience lives up to the vacation mode very well. Improvement area: more sustainable thinking by alternative to existing plastic bags in room bins, plus encouraging guests to not change towels and bed linen daily.

the hotel was nice and appeared to be clean. the staff was helpful. However, I got bed bugs from staying there. I called the hotel the next day to let them know and the girl said "I'm sorry". I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was not one around. I repeatedly stressed that the room bedding/bed needed to be thoroughly cleaned but wasn't reassured. I think that what I was saying may have gone beyond the girls English level. I did not receive a call back from management

Oceano Boutique is a great place to stay for those who do not want to be on the Main Street of downtown Jaco. It is within walking distance to all restaurants and shopping within the downtown area. The walls are thin, so you can hear noise from neighboring rooms. Other than that, the hotel was a great place to stay.

Nice room with a nice balcony, good kitchen and nice bathroom. Breakfast was yummy, food and drinks available all day. Nice pool. Easy parking. A little far to walk to the beach and dinner but that meant it was quiet at night.

The experience I had was excellent! I enjoyed my balcony view of the pool area very much--I wanted a quiet stay and it was. As a solo traveler, I didnt need daily maid service as I kept the room clean (it has been nicely maintained anyway); I noticed work was going on in the entry to the building but it didn't disrupt the peace I was seeking. I would do it again! The food service was great, the coffee even better.

Living room was set up as a bedroom. No couch or chairs Only two more twin beds. Was with only girlfriend and wanted a normal condo to relax not a one bedroom condo to sleep as many as possible. Didnt expect to be disappointed by this place but the condo was not comfortable with the living room set up with that way. Very strange. Photos show a classy place and mine was not at all. Felt like a cheap air bnb. Condo was just ugly and set up poorly. Also bedroom air conditioner was a window unit cut into the wall that looked like it was 30 years old and done by inexperienced worker

After a few minutes, we insisted that the driver return us to the hotel. After refusing to allow us to speak with management, we were given a partial refund. Disappointing is an understatement!

We loved the room and the property. The pool area was beautiful. The staff could have been friendlier. There was one tall lady at the check in that was very nice.Also the young man was also nice. The other staff members didn't seem very happy. The gym needed updating. Could use New treadmills and equipment.

I had one of the most appalling and traumatizing experiences at this property, and I feel compelled to warn others before booking here. Three nights before our scheduled checkout, we were illegally evicted from the hotel based purely on hearsay allegations — claims that we were supposedly blasting music from our balcony and engaging in illegal activities. Not a single piece of evidence was provided to support these outrageous accusations. There was no noise complaint presented from neighboring guests, no warning issued, no investigation conducted — just sudden, aggressive action taken against us based on gossip and false assumptions. The hotel manager’s behavior was absolutely disgraceful. Rather than acting professionally and approaching the situation with fairness or even basic courtesy, they chose to humiliate and expel us without cause. It was clear from their demeanor and language that they were motivated by discrimination and prejudice, treating us with an incredible level of disrespect that no paying guest should ever have to endure. This was not just an inconvenience — it was a violation of our rights as guests. Being removed without due process, without an opportunity to defend ourselves, based solely on unverifiable hearsay, shows a stunning lack of professionalism and gross mismanagement. In all my years of traveling, I have never encountered a more hostile, unwelcoming, and discriminatory environment. Stay away!

The staff was amazing! Amanda, Alexandra and Alvin. The rooms were really nice. The food was delicious. It is very close to anything you would need. Mas x menos, coffee shops, restaurants, the BEACH, shopping, etc. Great location to centro de Jaco. Eveeything is within walking distance. The staff is very kind. The staff este es familia ahora.

Another really enjoyable stay at Oceano. Very good location 5 mins walk from the Main Street in Jaco so away from the night time noise. The hotel is very nice, accommodation in good condition, very clean and comfortable. The room allocated was spacious and had all the facilities I required for a 4 day stay. The property itself was lovely. The staff was very nice and the rooms were clean. It was off the beaten path though. 5 blocks from the main strip and not very scenic. But given the cost and property it’s self I’d say it was definitely worth it.

We really enjoyed the amenities, upscale vibe, and the value of this hotel. The breakfast had a great presentation and was substantial. The pool / courtyard was beautiful. Everything was great! AC worked well, the staff was helpful and pleasant. The free breakfast was excellent, hot cooked every morning, about 1/4-1/2 mile walk to the beach, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The pool area was beautiful. They also had a security guard out at night. Pet friendly hotel too.

Overall, it's a very nice hotel near the beach. The staff were all friendly and super helpful. The authentic, local breakfast choices were good, and the hotel was clean and well-maintained. The noise from the pool can be noisy during the day and early evening, but things normally quieted down between 7:00-8:00 pm. Some things that could be improved include adding full-length mirrors in each room, an iron and ironing board, a broom to go along with the dust pan, and dishwasher tabs for use with the dishwasher. My only negative is the location. There's no beauty surrounding this hotel. In fact, the area is a little grimy-looking. So, if you want a hotel surrounded by scenic views or only 2-3 blocks from the beach, this isn't the place for you. Despite that, we never felt unsafe walking around. Also, there really isn't anything to do within walking distance other than walk about 5-10 minutes to the main strip, which is essentially a tourist trap of restaurants, souvenir shops, and bars. If we hadn't gone on tours every day, there wouldn't have been anything to do but hang out in our room or at the pool. But, we're not surfers, bar hoppers, or people who want to be at the beach nonstop. If I were ever to return to Jaco, I'd stay here again. But if I ever return to Costa Rica, I'd probably stay in San Jose where there are more family-friendly and walkable activities and just take transportation to any desired activities in or near Jaco.

Great location with walking to beach and “downtown” shopping area. The free breakfast options are healthy and tasty as are the options from the lunch and dinner menus. The staff are helpful and pleasant. The room was tended to each day- loved having the kitchen! Great shower. Jaco is a great place to have as home base to venture to other areas of the country. 👍

The food is not that good . We had dinner and no salt on it, no flavor on the spaghetti , in the kids meal just 5 French fries, and 2 chicken nuggets, so please don’t ask ask about the kids meal, just if you have a baby.

Oceano was simply amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful, the included breakfast was jaw-dropping, the room was extremely clean, and the pool was beautiful. I would HIGHLY recommend Oceano for anyone traveling to Jaco. We also booked our waterfall tour out of the hotel lobby with VIP Concierge Tours and it was a half-day of climbing 10 waterfalls. All-in-all, a fantadtic trip with a great hotel. Oh! And happy hour is buy one get two all mixed drinks...a win win x2!

This is my go to when I am in town. Totally safe, always clean, parking is easy and safe. Breakfast is amazing, great choices. The bar and restaurant are great- not too many choices, but the service is phenomenal and the quality is excellent.

Pool was nice. But workers were replacing the pool deck while we were there - smelly and noisy. Unpleasant. Service level from staff was generally uninspiring except for a couple of individuals. The guy at the front desk is ambivalent/insousiant. Francesca is a star, as is Dixie at the bar. Cleaning staff were nice and effective. Hotel is a 3 star by North American standards. Breakfast was not good - eggs were weird and what they called bacon miniature in size and like cardboard. Pancakes with fruit were good, however. They take the coffee station away at 10 am SHARP!! Can't give the guests anything for free, after all! Typical Jaco tourist trap - if you want a margarita with crushed ice, well that's an extra buck, otherwise it's on the rocks. The nickel and dime approach is annoying.

The hotel was beautiful. My room was very spacious and clean. I had a nice balcony with the pool view. The staff was very friendly. I had free breakfast which came with 8 different options and since I dont wat eggs I was left with 3 options which was ok, the food was amazing. They have a lunch/dinner menu I tried twice.
