Very nice resort hotel at one end of the long beach frontage road. Really friendly bellmen and desk staff. It has a splendid pool, and beyond the pool the beach and ocean. The oceans can be rough here, and there tends to be sediment in the water due to the river that enters just to the north of the hotel, but it is still great.It is a short walk to the banks, shops, and restaurants. There is a small casino that we lost some money in. There are also other small casinos near by. Not a big gambler, so didn't spend much time here. The pool is the best part of it all for me. Property has good security, and the view of the ocean is outstanding.

Overall the hotel was nice and we would stay again. However, the hot tub was broke or never worked. Bar and restaurant close at 6 by the pool. Nevertheless the breakfast and food we did order was great and staff where overall ok. Some staff seem to be a little unreasonable, such as I was waiting for my sisters to come out. There was no one around during the time, but he wanted me to move and the only reason I was waiting there is because casino cashier was not where they were suppose to be. Was hard to get change for cash and pool bar tender was ready to go at 5:50 so don’t order a drink at that time cause we could tell the quality of the drink was terrible from that morning. Location is ok and only a $5 taxi drive to night life. Was able to get to ATV location from this area at a great cost as well. Ocean water was a little to rough to enjoy from this location and there is a RIP Current warning, but view of ocean was great.

It is a nice hotel, well located. Pools are really nice, food is good and staff is awesome. But when you get into the room there is a bad smell, a mix between humidity and old… that gave me the impression owners could to better to keep the property in excellent conditions. That and the price made me think it was once a 5 star but for now I give this hotel a 3.

The property was nice. The pool there was no hot tub/Jacuzzi the buffet was very expensive but most things in Costa Rica have increased dramatically because of Covid so if you’re looking to go to Costa Rica, take a look at the amenities and excursion cost family of four we were spending about $200 a day, which was ridiculous for Costa each Excursion about $150. We went during the rainy day season because of business reasons, but don’t go in the month. July. The ocean was not good at all, and we were told not to walk at night from the hotel into town, which was not a long walk, but apparently it wasn’t safe. Uber is not regulated so it’s not legal there, but there are a lot of Uber drivers, our room leaking water from the shower and flooding the bathroom. We told them twice so they sent somebody to fix it, but it was never really fixed so we were consequently just having to put lotta towels on the floor and asking for more towels so we could’ve slipped and hit her head, but apparently they didn’t care about that .

Cet hôtel doit être certainement dans le standard haut du Costa Rica, mais comme souvent en Amérique du sud ou centrale, comme en Espagne, les hôtels qui "datent" un peu sont tous meublés en bois sombre, ce qui n'est pas du plus bel effet. Cela donne des chambres sombres malgré la baie vitrée et en plus il n'y a aucune lumière au plafond pour ne pas arranger la chose. Les chambres sont quand même confortables, vaste comme la notre qui était avec balcon vue sur le Pacifique. Les prix sont quand mêmes élevés, mais tout est cher au Costa Rica. La nourriture est bonne au restaurant de la piscine ou nous mangions tous les midi, rien d'extraordinarre, mais c'est bon. Le personnel de l'hôtel est très sympathique et serviable, pas de problème. La piscine ne permet pas de faire des longueurs de nage vue sa forme, mais elle est très propre et chaude. Par contre, n'espérez pas vous baigner dans le pacifique. Il y a beaucoup de courant, de vagues qui brasse le sable fin, et l'eau est en permanence chargée de sable, ce qui est très désagréable. Je vous conseille de ne pas prendre de risque, mais un panneau à la sortie de l'hôtel allant sur la plage vous signale ce danger. L'hotêl propose de faire des attractions dans la régions, je vous conseille la journée sur l'île de la tortue, c'est très bien organisé et très sympa. La visite du Parc Manuel Antonio n'est pas mal non plus, mais ne vous attendez pas à voir des lions ou des éléphants! Je n'ai mis que 4 étoiles vu les tarifs.

The check in was horrible. The staff handled out a card with a three digit number on it. Thought it was the room number. It wasn’t. The card was a random number with no importance to redeem for beach towels. They worry more about their towels than to make guests comfortable. Room had toilet that didn’t flush. Had to call maintenance. Maintenance guy argued that it did flush. Room had closet door next to the main door for safe and drawer space. This door didn’t close properly and banged into and got caught main door handle. Should have been moved into a different room, but didn’t. Noisy people singing and playing music well into the night made it hard to sleep. Food extremely overpriced in onsite restaurants. I recommend that Hotels.com drop this facility from network. This hotel has to make major improvements of customer service to guests. I would not want any guests have similar experiences. I have traveled in many locations in many countries using Hotels.com and have always been pleased with the experience. This hotel was a nightmare.

The pool and rooms were beautiful and well kept. Unfortunately the service was terrible amd the food at the restaurants were not good. The lady at the front desk is extrodinarly rude. Actually the first unpleasant person we have encountered in all of Costa Rica... unfortunately had to deal with her several times and each time should stood chatting with the other ladies while we stood there waiting, then each time while dealing with us would pick uo the phone to make a call while we had to wait for a receipt or whatever we were asking for... then was very short with us and rude giving us what we asked for including just asking where things were... I definitely wouldn't go back just to not have to interact with that unpleasant woman!!! We also tried a few items at a couple of the restaurants it very bland, overcooked and oddly presented. Also the restaurants must have cleared all their reviews to remove rhe negative ones as the now only have a few reviews for them...

Great actitud, need work in service. Staff was super friendly and helpful BUT… Service wise need to improve specially with waiters need more organization and probably more staff. We like the place and most probably we will recommend to our friends. Food was OK. Am sure chef can do better, need little more love and seasoning. Front desk staff was the best very helpful. One Waiter was the most caring, Watts at pool area. The place was very clean and well maintained.

Nice clean resort close to town with an ocean view. If you are looking to swim in the ocean, they don’t recommend doing it from the resort. The pool area is large and well maintained. There are a few restaurants on site, the food was very good. The ride to town was quick and only cost about $2 USD. There were really great food options there as well.

This hotel is great! I booked it at the last minute. Was pleasantly surprised upon arrical. Loved the decor and location. The staff was awesome and very helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and lovely. The hallways were so wide. Loved that. The views were amazing, from both the room and grounds. We did not use the casino but the folks inside looked like they had a great time, lol. The pool area was fun and that restaurant by the pool...I believe the name was 'El Carne' is 100% top tier. We ate from there like every day! A few things I would want them to change; the food from the two restaurants indoors were subpar, although the service was great. Also, there is no room service available (not that important, but a recommendation to consider adding it). I highly recommend this hotel!!!

We recently visited Costa Rica for our honeymoon and absolutely loved the country. The people were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the resort itself was beautiful with great amenities. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made our stay enjoyable—at least when we were able to enjoy it. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a serious case of food poisoning. On the very first night of our nine-day stay, I became violently ill after dining at the resort’s Mexican restaurant. I was sick for three days, and on the second day, my wife also fell ill from the food. We were extremely cautious with what we ate afterward, sticking to simple options, but even the breakfast buffet had issues—like butter that was clearly rancid. This was a rough and disappointing way to start what was meant to be a special trip. While we appreciated the resort’s setting and hospitality, food safety is a major concern, and we would urge management to take this seriously to prevent other guests from going through the same experience.

Loved Crocs! Friendly, fun and very helpful staff. Beautiful location. The two restaurants inside were mediocre, at best, however the poolside bar and grill was exceptional. The free breakfast every morning was also exceptional. I can't finish without mentioning William, who is a fantastic human and made our stay even brighter. Give that man a raise!

I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the resort. The property is clean, modern, and visually appealing. Staff members were very friendly and professional throughout my stay. I loved that room service came every day and cleaned thoroughly, which made the experience feel comfortable and well-maintained. I also appreciated that from the pool area, you can walk straight onto Jaco Beach. Very convenient! It was a nice touch that I mentioned it was my birthday and upon checking into my room, there was a piece of cake waiting for me, and wine! However, here are some downsides: The breakfast on the second floor switches to a buffet at a set price because of the number of guests in the hotel. I was told this directly by staff. I didn’t love that change, especially since the buffet food quality did not match the price. My daughter only wanted pancakes and eggs, and the pancakes came out cold and the eggs were watery with milk still coming out. Shoutout to Vanessa, who did accommodate us and only charged for what my daughter actually ate the two days following, (french toast and plantains). Her customer service was appreciated! We literally went to town to eat every day because of the food. The slot machines in the casino only accept Costa Rican currency, which would’ve been nice to know in advance. Food and drinks are NOT all-inclusive !!
