The Inn at Cape May is an older hotel but very comfortable. Location is great, the porch is great, the drinks are excellent. Short walk up to the outdoor shopping mall and the beach is right across the street. One thing people should know in advance is that the elevator is not self service. One of the employees of the hotel will bring you up and down.

Great location and that is what you are paying for. Old building and dated rooms. Porch bar and live entertainment was great, breakfast was pretty good. They make you leave the parking lot and turn in beach passes at 12p on the day of checkout (even though checkin isn't until 4p) which makes staying on the beach very difficult. Front desk staff did not offer any flexibility or alternatives.

There was good and bad. A manger made it right but from the start there was toilet issues in the room that one could fix but when on vacation shouldn’t have too. The rooms were not up to par for the cost with paint and patching issues on the wall. Lastly there was an exposed stable on the head board that led to my wife cutting her arm. Small miss but definitely not ok.

We were very disappointed in our room. It had a bed, small crappy dresser, side tables next to the bed that were the size of cup saucers that barely fit your cell phone, 2 chairs that was old and uncomfortable, the bathroom sink drained VERY slow and we supposedly had a ocean view which the view was mostly roof tops and ocean was way in the distance. We paid good money for this room; definitely not what we expected. We noticed the other rooms next to us had nicer chairs or a small love sofa and better side tables. We asked those occupants how much their 2 person room cost and it was the same as ours. We booked in advance and were there to check in when scheduled to (actually 30 min. Earlier). We told the front desk and all they had to say was: “sorry about that”!

Our stay was excellent due to staff's customer service, from our first step into the inn, we were greeted with a welcoming feeling. Luka helped us unpack the car and delivered our bags to our room. The staff at check in was very friendly and professional. The servers on the porch and in the restaurant were great, especially Anna, who always had a smile. Definitely check out the happy hour, the food choice was great! The location was perfect, we walked to most places and didn't need to move our car from the convenient parking lot. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh luxurious towels. The inn is cozy and could use a little maintenance TLC, but I'm sure it comes in the off season. We will definitely go back!
