The room was fantastic, spacious with a balcony and a private onsen. The lounge with unlimited drinks and snacks in a cozy atmosphere is a great addition. The service was excellent and friendly

Beautiful hotel with modern aesthetic and impeccable service. The onsens (both the general one and the private balcony one) are amazing. Excellent breakfast with western and Japanese food and some fun automations (fresh squeezed self serve OJ machine and automatic pancake machine). View of ocean and small Atami beach out front. Short walking distance to shopping district in Atami, which is smallish. Some construction next door when we went but didn't hear anything - very quiet and peaceful. No self-laundry facilities FYI. We walked from Atami station to the hotel (thankfully downhill but rather steep portions) but definitely needed the complimentary taxi ride back to the train station given the steepness of the location.

Very nice onsen hotel in Atami beach front. Access from the train station is provided by the local taxi paid by the hotel. Great experience!

施設やレストランスポーツジムすべてがとても綺麗で使いやすかったです。 ここまで良いホテルだと逆に少し気になってしまうのはドライヤーの質です。 ほんのわずかなことですが、他と同様のランクのホテルと比べると、ドライヤーやアメニティーの質が若干低いかなと思います。

Property is very spacious…. Very impressive. It was a good stay for us as well. Despite the many positive reviews that was 10/10 few mentioned about the street noise that’s unfortunately very disturbing at night or when using the onsen. The 10th floor onsen is much better and めちゃ広いい。。。。 skip the indoor onsen and use the 10th floor and one will feel relax.

ゆっくり過ごす為に温泉付の部屋を予約しました。 大浴場も良かったですが、部屋の温泉も良かったです。 ヨガなどのプログラムも参加可能で、とても楽しめました。 また行きたいホテルの一つです。

We enjoyed the ocean view, private onsen in the balcony, nice breakfast, relaxing lounge on 2nd Fl (but music too loud) and location of the hotel. Only thing we did not like was the slippery tiles in the shower. I almost fell, the tiles were slippery & there is no grab bar. Very dangerous and I started to wear the black slipper you put outside in the balcony when I took the shower.

What an amazing hotel. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. The bathtub on the balcony is actual hot spring water. The place is immaculate. The gym is also very nice. And also, it's easy walking to Giza where all the food is. I would definitely stay here again. Hopefully even more nights.

Excellent hotel. Staff are very attentive and the hotel was spotless. The room was lovely and the private onsen was perfect, especially with the sea view. Breakfast was very impressive. Very relaxing stay, couldn’t recommend it more.

This hotel is wonderful. They will give u voucher if you don’t need to make up room. Room cleanliness is great. View from from the room is great as well. Sleep Is undisturbed.

The property is unassiming from the exterior, but the interior is top-tier. My room was above and beyond what I anticipated and I was immediately subdued by the atmosphere and had NO CHOICE but to utterly relax. This was further guaranteed by the private onsen in the room. 10 out of 10 experience with an AMAZING ocean view.

My hotel room was amazing - everything is so high tech. You control all the electricals with the ipad, the TV rises up from the drawer. I feel so comfortable staying in the room. The amenities and pajamas are so thoughtful. I got an amazing view of the ocean from my room. Amazing breakfast... I love their DIY freshly squeezed mikan. It's the best I've ever had. From then I learned Izu is famous for their oranges. That's why there's orange trees growing everywhere in people's homes. The walk to Atami station is 10 min - lots of stairs to climb as Atami situates on mountains. There's no shuttle service so you have to get there yourself. That's not a problem for me as we drove there. Lots of parking spaces available.

The frontdesk staff are polite and helpful. The room is great - spacious, clean and has great amenity. It has a continuously filled and always hot onsen which is super convenient, and we enjoyed it a lot. The breakfast was good in terms of variety and the quality. It is pricy but I don't feel my money is wasted.

Cannot recommend. For the price-point, there are MANY other options. After several weeks in Japan, we hoped for a couple of days of serenity by the sea, soaking in a private onsen; however our experience was far from relaxing. On the plus side, the hotel room was lovely, with modern design and comfortable bedding, and the breakfast buffet was extensive. But 3 things detracted from our experience: 1. There is MAJOR construction happening on both sides of the hotel property, and will be ongoing for many months – the hotel did not tell us this. The jack-hammering began at 8:30 am and continued until 5pm, so use of the private veranda and hot spring tub was very noisy and unpleasant. 2. The design of the veranda space somehow amplifies the street noise from below, again making the outdoor space unpleasantly noisy. Our room was on the 9th floor – well away from the busy road, yet we heard the racing cars as though we were right beside them. 3. While the hotel is striving to be “5-star”, the service level from the staff is not up to 5-star standards. For example, there was no concierge service, and the front desk staff didn’t seem to know when their own restaurants were open for dinner. When we were finally able to make a reservation, we were told that we needed to order our meal the day ahead (no explanation why), and the only choices were from 3 very expensive fixed-price menus. As small eaters, we hoped to order a la carte but were told that wasn’t possible. We ate elsewhere.

The room is very clean and amenities provided are excellent. Open air bath and ocean view are wonderful. Staff members are very polite and helpful. Breakfast has different varieties and the food are very good.

Front desk service severely lacking for a hotel like this. When we arrived, an employee in training asked if I had a reservation tonight and told me check in is at 3. Then she stared at me blankly and left me standing by the front desk. Afterwards a male employee came over and asked for passports for copy. After making copies, they took my luggage for keeping before checkin and then he proceeded to wave us off, as if shooing us away. I understand that there's a language barrier and I'm not expecting them to speak English to us, but there absolutely no need to wave us off like that. What a terrible first impression to leave on your guests. It may just be these two employees, because I see better service offered to other guests. At checkout, taxi service was not offered to us but to other guests. Hotel location is unbeatable and facilities are new. Hotel breakfast buffet is great, with fresh orange juice. Stay was overall relaxing, I hope they can improve their staff training

2022年に開業された新しいホテルで設備などは素晴らしい。しかしながらスタッフ不足なのか、従業員の対応が一部を除いては非常に悪く、皆さんどう動いていいのかわからないような対応が目立ち、特に朝食時のスタッフの緩慢さやお客様への対応には目に余るものがあり、大変不快であった。 海を目の前にするロケーションは抜群で、このホテルの最大の価値は立地です。

This is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms with a private onsen are beautiful. The food is fresh and delicious and the staff are friendly, gracious and professional. The only exception was the staff member we encountered when we arrived prior to the check in time. We found him to be less than accommodating and quite rude. Thankfully, a colleague stepped in to help. We’d go back for sure and highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I made a night's stop in Atami during our recent two-week Japan trip and stayed at Pearl Star. The price of around $700 a night (in early November) was way beyond our usual budget but we figured it was worth it because, above all, we were attracted to the hotel rooms' private onsens and the hotel seemed like it was quite luxury. The positives: -The hotel is very nicely located right on the beach and a close walk to both the train station area and the town's ginza street -It's extremely clean and well-appointed - the included breakfast wasn't the best we had in Japan was certainly nice and extensive, and we enjoyed the fairly affordable 30-min massages available at the spa The big negative, for us, was the lack of personalized service of any kind we received from the hotel staff, particularly the front desk. When we arrived, we asked if there was a concierge and the man helping us told us this was a word he'd never heard before; we asked if anyone could recommend local restaurants or help make reservations (particularly needed as this is not a super touristy location and not a lot of English speakers) and were told they could not. We were not offered any general information about how our in-room onsen worked, or how the public onsen worked/rules for it either. Overall, for this price especially, I would expect a much higher level of service from this hotel.

DAR, at the front desk was fabulous. Her English is perfect. She helped us with restaurants, taxis etc.

Great location with top notch customer service

Top tier hotel with excellent service and so welcoming! We were welcomed by Alexandria Dar with pleasant smile and great attitude. She explained about the hotel and its amenities, services, the Atami area and made us feel at home. We loved the accommodations with the Onsen in room, awesome breakfast daily, great bar lounge, restaurants with an array of world foods and wonderful staff that made us feel so at home. We appreciated Mr. Toyo Ho who arranged and accompanied my wife and I to the Atami Hosptial(He paid the taxi fare and did not want to take our money) and assisted my wife to get medical help, filled out forms and stayed with us as the 2 physician took care of her. We will never forget the care he provided. Domo Arigato Mr Ho! You are so wonderful!!! We totally enjoyed our stay at the Pearl Star Hotel and will definitely be back. フロントの方のレベルが低い→話がスムーズではない、帰りのタクシーかなり待たされた。受付に慣れてない方が多いのかもしれません。 しかし、施設は素晴らしく、宿泊代は高額ですが、大満足の滞在になりました。室内の露天風呂からの花火は最高でした！！ 朝食も素晴らしかったですし、朝食のスタッフの方の接客は素晴らしかったです。 12時チェックアウトもゆったり出来て良かったです！

One of the best hotels I've stayed in! Staff were very welcoming and accomodating, went above and beyond my expectations. Private onsen was amazing and loved being right across the beach.

As first-time guests who had traveled from NY to Tokyo and then driven 3 hours to reach the hotel, we were genuinely looking forward to a memorable experience. Unfortunately, the lack of communication around dining options and the poor quality of the meal at 山海香味 left us deeply disappointed. Upon check-in, we were not informed that the property’s popular restaurants required reservations at least two days in advance. As new guests, there was no way for us to know this in advance, and we were left with no real alternative other than dining at their Chinese restaurant. We were the only guests there, yet were required to order an expensive prix fixe menu, with no other options provided. The quality of the meal was far below expectations. Several hot dishes were served at room temperature or even cold, and many items seemed more like frozen, reheated food. The fried rice was mushy and oddly flavored, and the dessert was unappetizing. More than half the dishes were left untouched, yet no one on staff asked if we were enjoying the meal or if anything could be improved. We were charged $400 for a dinner that none of us found even remotely enjoyable—and we all left still feeling hungry. I raised my concerns to the general manager and received an offer for a complimentary meal on our next visit. However, considering that the journey involves a 30-hour round-trip flight plus six hours by car, offering a free meal on a future visit hardly compensates for the experience we had.

Excellent hotel. Staff are very attentive and the hotel was spotless. The room was lovely and the private onsen was perfect, especially with the sea view. Breakfast was very impressive. Very relaxing stay, couldn’t recommend it more.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Staff members were so professional and polite. Room was roomy and includes many nice touches that makes our stay comfortable and convenient. Onsen in the room and infinite onsen were both amazing. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were delicious. Love this hotel so much that we definitely want to stay here once again.

This hotel was amazing. Our only issue was with the dining options. Even though they list a bunch of dining options there is really only one restaurant. When we went for dinner they only presented us with the tasting menu at 190$ per person. The restaurant menu had many options that we would have preferred at reasonable prices but they told us we could only have these in our room. It was a very odd experience to see a mostly empty restaurant with a vast menu displayed but they were set on telling us what we could eat. Weird. The food was great when we went back to our room to eat.
