The location is amazing - just one block to the beach! It also has various pools, many parking spots, and the staff is so nice. One of the best breakfasts in the area too!

Overall, this wasn't a bad old style FL hotel. The pools and hot tub were in good shape and clean. The layout of the property was neat but there are a lot of stairs. We had fun finding all the different pools. The room, however, was a little run down. Clearly renovated a few years ago but not touched since. The white walls were very dingy and needed cleaning. The floor was scraped up and water pressure/temperature was not great. It was fine for a one night stay and we enjoyed the pools and proximity to the beach.

Very nice one week stay over the new year holiday. Hotel is conveniently located. Beds are comfy and kitchenette is perfect for a weeklong stay. Pools and hot tubs are nice if not a little over chlorinated. Rooms are sparce and I had to use an ironing board for my toiletries. Towel and cleaning services are late, sometimes after dinner but every one works hard and is very nice and accommodating. They also had issues with keys going dead daily which seemed to get worked out mid week. And the use of all the hotels and pools and village restaurants is quite nice. Royal Palm Pool is heated to 88. Gym is a bit sad and dark and a little dirty.

Door lock had been broken and room did not feel secure. HUGE amount of mold inside PTAC. No one had cleaned or maintained these for years. The room itself was clean except for a large stain on the cheap sofa. Bed was great, toiletries OK. Decent mid-range stay, but the price for value was a little tough to justify. Also, annoying resort fee with no real amenities + $10/day for parking. Also, they do not staff the office as they operate other nearby and seem to prioritize other office presence. Always did respond within 5 minutes, but the office was never open when we were there. Most annoying thing was the resort fee tack-on for no resort amenities or features.

Place was a great value. 4 pools and two hot tubs set in a beautiful layout with nice landscaping and lighting were what stood out in a great way. Only complaints were ugly bathroom tile work (no big deal) and the mattress i slept on for 3 nights had a terrible buckle in the middle. Assume it was from a previous guest jumping on the bed and breaking the box spring maybe. Highly recommend the place due to price and amenities though. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great staff and the hotel was clean. Someone from the hotel texted me the second day there and advised me to text them if we had any questions and was quick to respond. There were also two gas grills that we could use on the patio which was really nice. Multiple hot tubs and pools also the kids had a blast swimming and watching the lizards and iguanas. The best part is that the ocean was just a block away! Had a great time!

The property was very pretty and very close to the beach. The pools were pretty nice and not too crowded. The worst part of the experience was the cleanliness. Our kids' feet were literally black with dirt within 5 minutes after running around barefoot after showers.

It was clean and we got fresh towels every day.

What a difference a year made. We stayed at this hotel for the second time in two years. The difference this time? Roaches. It made for a very unpleasant stay.

The good: - Common areas pleasant, clean, calm. - I'ts a series of hotels close by, you can use the common areas of the ones around (heated pool, gym) - Bedroom was clean (not the shower) - Services around (restaurants, beach, transport). - Location. The bad: - Shower area had old hair when we arrived; - Low water pressure was not joyful, but it's enough for a utilitary stay; - Noisy AC, but it didn't bother me much, I like white noise at night; - Daily cleaning service. We stayed for 4 nights and each day the cleaning was at a different time, sometimes very late. One day at 5 pm I had to ask the reception for them to clean and change towels. They don't clean the floors and the shower. Disappointing for the price. - Chronic lack of towels. The shower towels are old and small, they only give one set per person. I had to ask twice at the reception for an extra towel and they didn't always have it. Beach towels often not available, any time of the day (3 days in a roll). We went to look for it many times over the weekend. We paid for 5 nights in advance, our flight got canceled and we arrived one day later. They said they were about to cancel our reservation without notice even if we had let them know we'd be a day late Hot tub was awfuly hot, impossible to seat (and I love hot water). - Rundown washroom and shower, makes it unsanitary. Overview: - High cost for the service and cleaning - I'd go back if they improve it because location and common areas are great.

The day we arrived we began to see little bugs crawling around. Thinking really nothing of it, we ignored it. After the third bug we really checked the run before bed and discovered bed bugs on the frame and box spring of the bed. We immediately left the Room and booked a new hotel. Do not recommend

Decent hotel! Loved the room size. However, the living room wasn’t cleaned prior to our arrival the couch was full of sand, items from prior guests were wedged between the couch arm and base cushions, and the floor was sandy. I’d stay there again assuming the cleanliness was an oversight.

Our socks and feet were black. Floor was filthy and you could see all the water damage. Close to beach and restaurants but not worth the money we spent to be there. Very disappointed!

I’ll start with the pros, a quick easy walk to the beach, several pools to choose from, available during spring break. The cleaning staff provided adequate towels & linens upon request. That’s about it. Here are the cons: The rooms are severely outdated, it took a good five minutes to get hot water out of the shower, the room had such a strong MUSTY/MOLDY smell.. There was visible mold areas under the bathroom sink, visible black mold in shower. There was an unusable door in the bathroom, the windows were frosted over, but there was enough etched out of it in places where someone could see you through those windows, so we had to hang up a towel for the entire time. The window over the air conditioner would not shut all the way so there was about a half inch gap where it was open. The air conditioner filter looks like it has never been cleaned. Upon changing the sheets, the mattress cover clearly had stains from either someone’s accident or “activities”. Don’t be deceived by the kitchenette accommodation, it’s merely a tiny microwave and a mini fridge, I had to call maintenance because the freezer area of our mini fridge had clearly suffered from something that caused the inside of the plastic to warp, melt, and expose holes underneath. I was worried that it was a hazard, maintenance came right away and told me that they would have it replaced, it did not get replaced until a day or two later when I had to call the office & remind them. Will never book again

Not a great stay. Our room was not ready at check in and was extremely dirty (sheets, floor) and run down (hole in bathroom door, mold on ceiling in bathroom, water damage on floor). Do not recommend to stay here despite proximity to beach.

The neighborhood was great and it is an easy walk to the beach. There were several pools and the grounds were nice. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. It is an older building and the bathroom was not air conditioned sso go very hot. It could use an update.

The room and surrounding area was nice, quiet and fairly well kept. We liked the renovated laminate floors, bathroom and living area furniture. The only issue was what they claimed was a pull out sofa. There was no mattress. The sofa jack-knifed open and the cushions were stained and in need of deep cleaning. Flat screen TVs were wall mounted. The Wi-Fi was acceptable with no connectivity issues. Stay here if you plan to go to the beach. There were a number of spingbreakers hanging out around the pool but no issues to speak of. If you want more luxury then check out the larger chain hotels along A1A and ocean-front but plan to spend more.

Check in was easy, and we really appreciated that they showed us around the property and to our room, particularly because the property is a bit of a labyrinth, with 4 buildings and 3 floors, 4 pools, 2 hottubs, and several outdoor common areas. Self parking around the perimeter of the property allowed for convenient access to our vehicle and the reasonable price was a major consideration. At another nearby hotel we were spending 4 times as much per night to park 3 blocks away from our hotel with no in/out privileges. We really enjoyed the hot tub in the center of the property but it would have been nice if it stayed open a bit later. The room itself was basic but clean and functional. The easy to operate tv was a highlight and provided streaming services. We wanted to use the ice machine but it wasn't working, and there were some signs of wear and tear around our room. The bathroom door didn't really close properly, and the entry door to the room seemed a bit flimsy and didn't self close. The bed was a bit too springy and noisy. Overall, it was good for a single night and I probably wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

Perfect location, just a short walk to the beach and dining options, that's what you're really paying for. The room was spacious, but not the smartest use of space. No drawers, no bathroom vanity or space to put your toiletries, not even space for a tooth brush. Bathroom doesn't have an exhaust, so every time you take a shower it becomes a steam room and if you don't keep the bathroom door closed the room gets muggy. Small window type A/C is not enough to keep room cool and dry. All our clothes felt damp after a couple of days, A/C thermostat locked at 72 degrees. We had to ask for houskeeping services, towels, toilet paper, tissue and coffee maker supplies. Swimming pool looked nice and clean, but we didn't use it due to lack of time. Area surroundings is really nice and good vibes. Like I said, location is excellent and that's what you pay for.

I loved this property; our family suite was large enough for everyone. The grounds are beautiful, and the pool was fantastic. My only complaint was the floors could use a mopping, and the bathroom could use an update.

We loved the location, only a few minute walk to the beach and shops. It's a super cute hotel and we felt safe until we got to the room. They definitely need better locks for the doors but other than that everything was good.

The room was clean and nice. The property was not what we expected. I asked about an elevator and was told they had one in a building (not realizing they had numerous buildings). The room we received required a bit of a maze-like walk and was not elevator accessable and required dragging suitcases up and down numerous stairs to get to our room. If you are unable to navigate stairs you might want to reconsider booking with this hotel.

Friendly staff

I enjoyed my stay at North Beach Hotel and would have stayed there again BUT I purchased a beach towel from the store that the hotel owns and it was taken from my room by housekeeping. No big deal, I knew it was a mistake and I thought they would just give me a new towel from their store or give me back the one they took. Neither of those things happened. The front desk was nice but they did not care and just gave me a card to email the property manager. I did email them and they told me to contact hotels.com, I spoke to hotels.com and they told me the hotel would have to issue a refund, the hotel again said it was hotels.com that would have to refund me. It was just a big run around for a beach towel. In the end the hotel told me they did issue a refund with the card they had on file when I checked in that i put down for the security deposit, they even confirmed the last 4 digits. It's been 2 weeks with no refund coming through and I emailed the hotel today and they told me to contact hotels.com. So... they have told me they have done everything they can do and offered me 10% off on a future stay. Again, I don't think they stole my beach towel with malicious intent, it's a towel. But it really shouldn't have been this hard to get refunded for property that was taken from your room by an employee and not given back.

Hotel is located in a really nice area walking distance from bars, restaurants and beach. The customer service is really bad. I had to wait an hour for get my room ready, and the room essentials like soap wasn't available. Trying to reach the front desk is a gamble. You have to be lucky in order to find them.

Broken plumbing and no running water . Could not run the toilet or take a shower. We could not find anyone to give us status on plumbing issue. Had to check out early to find a place to get drinking water. Front desk was not at all apologetic and had a ‘it is what it is’ attitude.

We appreciated that they could store our luggage when we arrived several hours before check in. We weren't happy that our 1 pm check in occured at about 2 pm. We did have to check out after 1 night due to our travel plans changing.

My family and I enjoyed staying here and we look forward to coming back again. From the friendly staff, the quick responding customer service, the cleanliness, accommodating staff, location, their partner locations, and rooms, it was all amazing!

I love that this hotel group provides an affordable option to stay in Fort Lauderdale Beach which I love so much. I understand that in order to provide affordable accommodations, certain services have to be sacrificed, but it was a bit annoying that the lobby / front desk was locked and unmanned so often. That said staff was incredible! Biggest issue is that these rooms are lightly renovated to look trendy and capture some good photos but in reality, they are poorly renovated with lots of construction issues and are basically putting lipstick on a pig. Some rooms are more updated than others and we got a bad one at first. Even when moved to the Tranquilo property which was more updated room, there is grime and cracking in bathroom grouts, mattresses uncomfortable, pillows cheap and uncomfortable, we found way too many strands of hair on bed linens, and other icky issues. I get in not at a 5 star hotel, but they need to invest more in facilities and comfort! To end positively, cool hang out public areas and amenities like the cafes and restaurants. And right off the beach!

Our overall trip was great. Jasmine helped us through the time that we arrived in we left. We decided to pay the extra money to check in early and stay late. It was well worth it. We loved the Jacuzzi. It was perfect. No one in there at all. We love the restaurant Village Café next-door had great food. Then we walked down to Sun Surf Sand restaurant, food was amazing food! overall Trip was perfect 5❤️

north beach was awesome for my trip! the staff was very accommodating and there for any questions. perfect location and the cutest market and wine bar! would definitely come back!

I loved staying here but restaurant is not part of hotel. Not friendly and at one point rude.

Very nice little property, check in easy and simple, friendly young man at the desk , very obliging . Room is plain, sparkling clean and all the extras you need, ex. Fridge, safe, microwave, coffee thingy shampoos, creams etc. litte courtyard with chairs, pool and hot tub. Nice restaurant right next door with inside, outside dining, great food, great service reasonably priced. Beach is literally one block away , with lawn chairs. Awesome bakery just down the street. We were here on a Saturday night, on bottom floor and it was very quiet. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Fort Lauderdale.

Cool little area and nice for the price. The connected bakery is amazing and they have an excellent restaurant staff. The bed was nice and comfortable. The room was large. Only one of the 3 pools is heated (heaters exist for the others, but are not turned on). Had a shower issue that was present she should have been recognized by the cleaning staff. They resolved it the next day. Cleaning service was inconsistent. Sometimes they took towels and didn’t replace them. Coffee pods were not replaced. I would stay again, but reduce my expectations. The area does not live up to the web site photos.

This is an older resort, needs some TLC in the outdoor areas, gardens. Rooms are nice enough. Staff very friendly. Whats convenient is the close walk to the Ft Lauderdale Blvd , beach and many restaurants. Also the the Village Cafe, Bakery and small market for for incidentals are all in a 1 - 1/2 block walking distance.

A clean and convenient no-frills motel less than Three blocks from the ocean. Lots of great food options nearby, and complimentary parking. Would definitely stay again, both for the competitive pricing as well as the proximity to the beach. There is a phenomenal bakery as well as a juice bar that are each a 3 minute walk away.

We very much like the atmosphere and mid century modern vibe. All of the charming spaces in the village where you could discover hot tubs, pools, coffee shops, bakeries, places to work or relax were fun. It was interesting how it really did function like a village - places to eat, work out, listen to music, etc. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
