Staff was not present at front desk upon check in, nor were they present the following day. Guests were waiting and stated they had been waiting a while. Service bell was rang and staff eventually appeared and were apologetic. Overall, minimal staff on site. Pool was not clean and hot tub was drained and not working. This was not shared nor was any signs posted identifying. Breakfast was good with many options available. Room was large and modern however beds were not comfortable and people in room beside could be heard. Cleanliness of room could be improved, as well as comfort in beds and pillows. Overall, it was okay but I would not recommend this hotel.

We had an excellent stay, staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and spacious, pool was a decent size (really bad echo though so it was really loud) the whirlpool is closed (not just if temporary or permanent but didn’t impact our stay- but would have been nice to know) breakfast buffet was really good and had a lot of options

It was easy to get to, unfortunately the pool wasn't open, were disappointed with that.

Beds were comfortable, pillows flat and bedding was poor quality and would fall off. Hot tub has been cemented in and not listed as unavailable. No working ice machines so had to get front clerk to get from kitchen. Floor tiles in bathroom was missing grout and cracked and cut my daughters foot. Patchwork with scotch tape

Our room was clean and the bed comfortable Good breakfast and pleasant and efficient lady who set up and cared for the food and the cleanliness of the area. Friendly Staff. Minimum of noise. Clean and plenty of linens. We didn't need elevator but wasn't working until 3rd day there. Back sidewalk only partially cleaned.

We have stayed here several times over the years in the winter to ski close by. The staff are kind and helpful but they are no match for the hockey parents that do what they want with their vehicles in a tight parking lot in a snow storm. A bit of chaos to get in and out. Nice to have breakfast in the morning. Bathrooms are not maintained and we had issues with the shower and with the toilet. For these reasons I can’t give top marks despite the great service and kind staff.

Ice machine was broken and the hot tub has been closed and blocked up, unfortunately. Otherwise, a clean, comfortable hotel with a nice pool. Breakfast offerings are excellent.

The obly clean part of this hotel is thr lobby. Went with our kids who were excited to use the pool. It wss disgusting. Not only was it very cloudy, there was years of scum, buildup and dirt in and around this pool. It was hot tub temperature. Alot thd hot tub was broken and drained. Floors have mildew. Hallway leading to room had ripped carpet which was a tripping hazzard. Room was tiny, and smells like bathroom spray. We left after 4 hours The guy at the desk was nice. Find a different hotel.

The pool water did not look safe for swimming. The pool deck and surrounding area very dirty. Room was dirty, hairs all over, food left in the mini fridge, random food bits around the beds. The faucet in the tub was completely broken.

Every time we go to Barrie, we stay at the Fairfield hotel. It is very clean, we like the breakfast options, the service is great. And in a great location. I wish they still had the hot tub, but the pool was actually nice & warm.

Bedbugs. When you walk on to the 2nd floor, the carpet smells. Second the rooms with queens bed are way too tight. Spots of blood found on pillow case. I immediately left. I had to discard of clothes and I need to get my car shampooed.

After waiting for a while, I was given a room which smells musty, I also could hear talking from neighbor room because there is an inside door between the 2 rooms. Then I went to front desk to ask for switching to another room. But the person at front desk left already, no matter how I ring the bell or called the front desk phone number, no one showed up. After waiting for about 15 minutes at the front desk, finally the front desk person returned. So I waited about 30 minutes for checking in and switching room. In the morning when I was trying to use the hair dryer, the hair dryer looks very dirty and then I found a crawling bug on the bathroom countertop, it was disgusting. Also water drained slowly in the bathroom sink, so water was filing up in the sink. The inside part of the plastic shower curtain has two rings not hooked. There is a big gap between the door and door frame, so you can see the light from the hallway and could hear noise from outside. The door has a very tight spring hinge, so I waked up by loudly door closing sound from other rooms in the early morning. Broken carpet and damages on the wall paper. The condition of this hotel can’t match the brand name of Marriott!

Myself and my grandchildren had room 103 it was a bad spot up till 2:00am with doors slamming the outside door and the door that goes to the 2nd floorup... Plus the door didn't shut properly you can see the hallway around the frame I tried pushing on the door it was fine but soon as I Let Go you can see the hall again...

Friendly staff. Clean room. People in room next to us played loud music until 1AM. Front desk had to call them then go and knock on their door. They eventually turned it it down but took their time.

Stayed one night on weekday with family of four. Location was great just off highway 400. Check in and check were a breeze. Hotel, room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was decent. Con: The parking lot lighting was very bright and impeded our sleep. The curtains did not move and were there just for decoration. The plumbing was quite noise. Maybe it was our room. But you can always hear water gushing through the pipes when someone is taking a shower.

Nice room. Stupidly small room. Like kind of pathetic small. For 200$ a night it’s not worth it. It’s a very nice place. Breakfast was good. Staff was nice. Although every time I left my room every staff member stared at me like a hawk. The entire time for no reason I did nothing wrong of weird. I don’t understand. The bath towels there tiny but Decently soft and bed was super comfy and room was extremely and well maintained other than my heater being broken. Beautiful facilities though. Overall between the room being so small you can’t move around at all The heater being broken and the entire staff staring at me like a hawk for absolutely no reason every time I leave my room, the entire time I leave my room, they should not be charging 200$ per night and I don’t recommend it Very clean though. Very comfy bed.

Extremely disappointed with this hotel. We paid almost $900 for a 2 night stay. The room was nothing like it looked in the picture of a king size bed room. We had a long hallway in our room and literally enough space to just walk around the bed only. No other space in the room. There was mold in the corner of the shower, no Kleenex in the room. The heater rattled brutally every time it turned on. Pillows are lumpy, uncomfortable and desperately need to be replaced. My teen was in another room (as we were down for a competition and they were staying in team rooms) and said their room was just as nasty with no sheets for the pull out couch, stains on the mattress when they pulled it out. There was a long known storm coming to the area that we did get. At 7:45 when we were trying to leave for the competition for the day they had not had the sidewalks shovelled nor had the parking lot been plowed. We were all getting struck trying to push ourselves out of the parking lot because there was so much heavy wet snow. If I had an option to leave, I would have but I could not afford another place to stay. I would not recommend and will never stay here again, especially for the price. I have had way nicer rooms for a third of the price.

Great location, great continental breakfast. Only caveat was the load A/C unit in our room.

Staff were nice, breakfast was good. Pull out couch lacked any sort of padding, could feel every spring. Will get two doubles next time for the kids. Hockey/cheer parents park like animals and it’s a bit tough to get a spot in this snow.

The hotel was satisfactory. It Is smaller than it looked on the website, and the rooms were small. I think there needs to be some more attention to maintenance tho, the room we stayed in had an odour to it, the curtains were ripped, and the bathroom shower door was sticking badly, along with dirty discoloured caulking along the bottom. I think this hotel is satisfactory for 1-2 people that just need lodging overnight. Breakfast buffet was good, lots of selection.

The room was clean, updated and clean bathroom with plenty of towels. Good proximity to restaurants. Beds were OK, but maybe mattresses need replaced. Mattress sagged a bit in the middle so woke up a bit stiff and sore. Was fine for one night stay. Would probably stay again, as we were happy with it for the most part. Free breakfast was a bonus.

Super clean hotel with excellent service by the staff. Quiet rooms and halls. Morning brunch was terrific and the lady running it was quite helpful and funny. Highly recommend this hotel.

Check in was smooth (and we got our room early), room was clean, bed was comfortable, and selection at continental breakfast was good. No complaints here!

We got to the hotel at 10:30pm to check in and no one was at the front desk. There was another family here waiting as well. we’ve been waiting for almost 25 minutes. This is dangerous!

We stayed there on the Sunday of a long weekend. Unfortunately for us, they do not work at full staff on long weekends. There was no maintenance available to help us with a mishap in the sink. First they told us it was impossible to retrieve a diamond pendent that was lost in the sink that it was already in the water system. We hadn't run the water and new it was sitting in the drain pipe. Had a hardware store been open I would have bought a wrench and retrieved it myself. They did not want to handle it because they did not have the staff there. They called in an outside plumber retrieved the pendant and then dinged me for $374.31 on my credit card. I told them that they should pick up some of the cost as they did not have the appropriate staff there. They refused. I was more than willing to split the tab but they didn't budge. I will not be using this chain of hotels again unless they are fully staffed. Even then I would be hesitant.

This an older hotel, our room was functional but could have been updated. There was a large stain on the sofa that was odd. It is, however, conveniently located close to Hwy 400 and a large grocery store.

Conveniently located close to the highway, Shoppers, fast food, restaurants; and a lovely buffet breakfast is provided. Will definitely be coming back in the future. Free parking is a bonus!

Everything about our stay was excellent. The hotel was exceptionally clean and very quiet. We were there a short time to attend a family function but would highly recommend the central location to highways, shopping, and various restaurants as well as the complimentary breakfast offered. Would definitely book here again.

This an older hotel but clean, our room was functional but could have been updated. It is, however, conveniently located close to the highway and a large grocery store.

Easy to find with gas station and Tim hortons really close. Close exit to 400 highway. Breakfast is closed at 9 which is a bit early.

The staff were excellent. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was ok but not great.

Breakfast was surprisingly good. A lot of extras to what I was expecting to be the usual hotel breakfast included. For example, several milk alternative options, pumpkin seeds, sliced almonds, etc as cereal toppings.

Front desk staff was friendly upon check in. The process went smoothly and quick. Room is average. Blankets are thin as are the pillows. Bathroom wall had a hole in it and tiles were loose. Breakfast was a complimentary hot buffet but was done at 9am which is quite early.

The breakfast included a large variety of choices with everything fresh. Ths bed was cimfortable in a spacious room. My improvement point would be to invest in more comfortable pillows. We had two each but it felt like only one of mine at home. We look forward to visiting again.

One of the best breakfasts we’ve had - and we’ve had A LOT of hotel breakfasts! The breakfast staff was wonderful and very attentive.

The shower, even when on hot, had cold water. The room was quite dated. Little variety at the buffet. The staff at check-in was pleasant.
