The room was great, but the property was very, very inconvenient. It was the most difficult hotel to get your belongings into and when it came time to leave nobody is on duty until 7:00 am, so you can't weave your way down to the lobby and exit. You have to park in the upper lot and haul everything uphill to that lot.

Parking sucks. You cannot (guests) access the second floor by elevator. Even though the maid's use the elevators??? My wife has bad knees and having to use the stairs and having to walk around the building to get to your room is not acceptable. Parking you either have to walk up the road or walk down another road depending on where you park. Also, there are no lights on the upper parking area if you can even get parking up there.

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful every interaction. Unit had full kitchen facilities. On site Italian restaurant was phenomenal. Outdoor pool area was very comfortable and amazingly we had pool to ourselves all 4 days we used it. Hot tub was out of service, but fixed the morning we left. Overall a very comfortable stay.

The Castle and it's restaurant were good. The room was nice and big. The location has a good view but it isn't convenient for walking anywhere, being right off the highway and away from town. Crossing the highway to the amenities there looked impossible. Parking was limited or inconvenient. The pool area looked ok but the pool was closed for our stay for some kind of maintenance.

Stayed one night on a motorcycle trip. It was nice to have a full kitchen so we could make our own dinner and breakfast, and the whole suite was very nice (small patio, very clean well appointed bathroom, comfy bed and nice sitting area). I chose The Castle for my first visit to Vernon based on the many reviews praising its cleanliness. It's a nice property overall and the room was large and comfortable and well appointed. I was at the back of the property so just a peek-a-boo view but it was quiet. The room was exceptionally clean. It's no exaggeration to say it was spotless. The hotel and restaurant staff were all friendly and helpful.

We have been staying at this property ever since it opened. Everything was excellent except the wifi was very slow and sometimes with no connection at all. But overall, our stay was good. Kids still love to come back next summer.

This hotel is very dated but really clean. The beds are comfortable and the kitchens are handy and well equipped. However, when I called prior to our trip to confirm that the king suite I had booked had two full beds and baths, I was told it did. The upper loft bedroom had a sink and tub right in the bedroom and a small water closet with just a toilet. This was very disappointing and made getting ready for the wedding we were attending tight for our family as we ended up having to share one bathroom. The resort is right on the highway so it's a bit noisy and the pool was open but not very warm. Overall I'd give this place a 6 / 10. It's about a 10 minute drive to Vernon and all the amenities like restaurants and shopping. The price was good but they took the full price of our stay plus a deposit when we checked in on our credit card. Then a week later I discovered I had been charged twice and the amounts are different. So essentially double the amount of our full stay has been tied up on my credit card for now over 9 days. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and we won't stay there again.

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were wonderful. It was not at all sound proofed, though....every step, every voice...it all echos throughout the room. So, if you're sound sensitive, this might not be the place for you.

This is a nice hotel with really large suites. I stayed in one of the smaller suites and I swear it's almost as big as my 1br apt in Vancouver. The restaurant on site was fantastic -- reasonably priced (particularly the wine), delicious food and super friendly and professional service. The only downsides were that the pool was over run constantly with families and kids, so if you are a family this is awesome, but for solo travellers it's not the greatest. I also had a ton of stomping over my head, but I asked the receptionist if they could call them and ask them to quiet a bit and they were super good about it which was great. Really good place overall.

The hotel is next to a busy highway and the traffic was loud. Too loud to enjoy the nice deck looking out at the lake. Front desk staff was awesome and helped us put air in our flat tire so we could get to a tire shop. Five stars for the staff.

The property didn't have the necessary items like toothbrushes and paste. At reception, the lady was not customer-oriented and did not allow us 10 extra mins for checkout. For the bathrobes, they asked us to pick them up from the reception instead of having them delivered to the room. The property itself has nice rooms and is maintained.

We had a reservation for two nights but could only stay for one night. Sam, the manager, was extremely kind and profesional. She understood our need and agreed to cancel the second night of our reservation. She was so kind that helped us go through Expedia to cancel the second night on their system. It took a while because Expedia didn't know how to do it and was not very helpful, buy she took her time and guide them through the process until everything was corrected properly. We loved the property itself, the suite was excellent, very confortable and clean. The kitchen has everything you may need. Overall, excellent place to stay!!!. Thank you, Sam, for your help and understanding

The hotel is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Vernon and provides large, clean rooms with full kitchenettes and an amazing view of Swan Lake. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The site had a pool, but we were told the hot tub was broken - one of the things we were looking forward to using after a long drive. Unfortunately, if you like to get out an explore during your stay, there is no shopping nearby and only one restaurant on-site that it isn't open at all on Mondays and Tuesdays (of course the two days we were there). We tried to use local transportation to get downtown, but found you absolutely need to have a car to stay here since Uber wasn't accepting rides outside of downtown and and the taxis are quite slow to respond and overpriced.

The hotel is really well-designed. The property is simply amazing, built on a hillside and quite unique.The room was large, clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked. We were early to arrive (about 2) by motorcycle and told the room was not ready. No problem, we were invited to wait on the property but it would have been nice to be told when it was ready. Only the next person on shift let us know when we asked for an update around 3:15. Everything was 5 stars except for that first contact in reception where it sure sounded like we were waiting till 4pm, no exceptions. This was an Expedia "VIP booking" and that initial check-in was not. The rest of the experience, including the restaurant was excellent.

Stayed for an overnighter for work during the offseason. Rooms are HUGE and quite nice. The odd part of the building how it is situated on the property, its kinda like the person who designed it was just trying to fill the property. Enter on ground floor, elevator up 1 level to another ground floor. Not bad, just odd. Lots of signs about taking valuables out of the car, but the property is not in an area at all where one would be worried about car theft. All in all a good place to stay. No car charger that I could find.

Love this hotel, a bit out of town but skip the dishes delivers there. The rooms are large and very well appointed, we had a two story room with 2 bathrooms a great splurge. The pool is wonderful. They do have a restaurant but did not eat there. And next to waterslides so great if traveling with kids.

The Castle and it's restaurant were good. The room was nice and big. The location has a good view but it isn't convenient for walking anywhere, being right off the highway and away from town. Crossing the highway to the amenities there looked impossible. Parking was limited or inconvenient. The pool area looked ok but the pool was closed for our stay for some kind of maintenance.

The hotel is next to a busy highway and the traffic was loud. Too loud to enjoy the nice deck looking out at the lake. Front desk staff was awesome and helped us put air in our flat tire so we could get to a tire shop. Five stars for the staff.

Very conveniently located by highway 97A. Has pretty lake view (if your room is facing the lake). The market is right cross the highway. Unfortunately the market is not in the walking distance. Overall it’s a very clean apartment style hotel room.

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful every interaction. Unit had full kitchen facilities. On site Italian restaurant was phenomenal. Outdoor pool area was very comfortable and amazingly we had pool to ourselves all 4 days we used it. Hot tub was out of service, but fixed the morning we left. Overall a very comfortable stay.

Hotel was lovely. The suites are amazing. Nice small kitchen but needs better utensil assortment. Corkscrew. Bottle opener. Electric kettles. Etc. the only negative is that the bathrooms have these high sided bowls. Looks pretty but not practical for children or shorter people. Staff were awesome. Pool area is amazing. No breakfast offered was also a bummer.

We really enjoyed our night at The Castle. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We also ate at the in house restaurant, and it was delicious. Would definitely come back!

Front staff were amazing, friendly and informative. The room was very clean, had everything for us. We did have a small temper-tantrum do to the hot tub not being fully fuctional while we were on a multi day ski trip. We feel management should be always on top of that when it is a critical filter for us when we choose our booking. The restaurant on site is absolutely perfect, ambiance, food, and service was was the highlight to a wonderful stay.

Everything about The Castle was amazing......Jessica at the front desk is a jewel and will make sure you have everything you need! The full kitchens and BBQ area served our large family well and the common area gathering room was great for our group dinners. The outdoor pool area was perfect for cooling off and having the swan lake market across the road made grocery runs quick and convenient! We will definitely stay again!!!

We atay here every spring when we come up. Staff is friendly, and our room is always tidy. We especially appreciate the kitchens, which make it easy for us to cook for ourselves, eat breakfast in our suite, etc. The Intermezzo restaurant on-site is a great placenfor dinner as well.

This is a nice hotel with really large suites. I stayed in one of the smaller suites and I swear it's almost as big as my 1br apt in Vancouver. The restaurant on site was fantastic -- reasonably priced (particularly the wine), delicious food and super friendly and professional service. The only downsides were that the pool was over run constantly with families and kids, so if you are a family this is awesome, but for solo travellers it's not the greatest. I also had a ton of stomping over my head, but I asked the receptionist if they could call them and ask them to quiet a bit and they were super good about it which was great. Really good place overall.

The hotel is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Vernon and provides large, clean rooms with full kitchenettes and an amazing view of Swan Lake. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The site had a pool, but we were told the hot tub was broken - one of the things we were looking forward to using after a long drive. Unfortunately, if you like to get out an explore during your stay, there is no shopping nearby and only one restaurant on-site that it isn't open at all on Mondays and Tuesdays (of course the two days we were there). We tried to use local transportation to get downtown, but found you absolutely need to have a car to stay here since Uber wasn't accepting rides outside of downtown and and the taxis are quite slow to respond and overpriced.

Love the rooms, love the pool, love the restaurant! Was a perfect place to stay for our cousins reunion. The rooms are large and functional, space to sit and visit, have morning coffee together. The price was excellent. Front end Staff made an excellent restaurant suggestion in Vernon. Can’t wait to come back!

My go to home away from home while in Vernon. Amazing views, location and facilities. The staff is always helpful and accommodating. The suites are huge and fully stocked. Our favourite place is the pool and hot tub. We come every year for 3-4 nights and will definitely be back.
