Höfn Guesthouse

Very small room, no space for 2 suitcases. They did have a small table and 2 chairs in the room which was good. No kettle, fridge in the room but there was a small kitchen with kettle, toaster and large communal fridge. No supplied tea or coffee or toiletries. We were opposite the kitchen so was noisy at night and from 6.30am. Near a supermarket and ok for a quick stop over.

The bathrooms are in need of minor repairs. There is a risk that the faucet could come off in your hand. During the night, there was no toilet paper left in any of the restrooms, and there was nowhere to get more.

This was not what we expected. Our room had two beds pushed together (no big deal!), and one dresser at the foot of the bed. It was very very small. The tv had no remote and no button to turn it on manually. The TV is rarely used when we are on vacation, but in this case would have been nice to have to drown out some of the hallway/room noise. We have stayed in many guesthouses before- but this one felt closer to a hostel. This may be a better option for a university crowd than a travelling couple. Ran out of toilet paper in the bathroom, and the kitchen is so close to the rooms that once one person is up- you’re all up! We had a family staying that took up three rooms- with us in the room between them, and often caught up in their business going between rooms and setting up in the very small hallway. Seemed strange they wouldn’t have grouped them together. I suppose because rooms are assigned as soon as you book, it wouldn’t work that way. The pictures on the listing seem to be rooms that were not ours. Overall as a couple travelling in our 40s, we should have spent the extra $$ to stay somewhere else.

It just felt old and unkept. Beds were uncomfortable, pillows thin, and bathrooms dirty.

Bathroom is not very clean. The kitchen have some paper towel is better.
