My Place Hotel-Fargo, ND

Having a kitchenette with no cutlery was a bit frustrating. Other than that was satisfactory.

Very clean, comfortable & spacious. If you don’t mind a slightly dated hotel, you’ll find this one is well run and maintained. It’s really a great value. I didn’t realize we’d have our own kitchenette! We didn’t need that, but if you do, just know you’ll need to bring your own dishes, pans, condiments, dish soap, etc. We’d certainly stay there again.

Clean rooms with full fridge, stove top, microwave, sink with lounge chair. Mini home. Great place to stay when traveling through multiple states with cooler full of food.

Kitchenette was awesome but no plates silverware or cookware in room is inconvenient. Front desk only has flimsy paper plates and plastic silverware

I wish the kitchen had utensils. There were no mugs or glasses. It was nice to have a kitchen but all the other hotels with such kitchens have utensils and coffee mugs, a pan to cook in, plates to eat on.

No ice machine. Service customer service was average to below average.

Facility in below average condition, especially for the price. Parking lot poorly maintained.

Rooms were bare minimal. We booked this hotel because of full kitchen efficiency. The hotel did not provide glasses plates utensils pots pans or anything and tried to sell us items. House cleaning was only 1x every 4 days and they never came. They only would give us 4 towels per 4 days.

The beds were comfortable, which was a plus. However, the room we were assigned faced north and seemed to funnel smoke from the outside air directly inside, making it unpleasant. The parking lot was poorly marked—lines were barely visible—so cars were parked haphazardly. Water pressure in the bathroom was very weak, and the cabinets in the kitchenette felt sticky to the touch, suggesting they hadn’t been properly cleaned. Staff was very pleasant.

Room was very clean and staff was courteous.

Nice property with big room for 4. Room was clean with plenty of towels. The bathroom was out of hand soap and shower body wash.

The coffee maker was dirty and the carpeting as well. The ironing board was missing the ironing pad. The coffe pot was dirty.

The toilet would not stop running, I had to manually fix the flapper. The body wash dispenser in the shower was completely empty.

Went up to our room… door was not latched, pushed the door open to a smoke smell in the room and one of the beds was all wrinkled up like someone was lying on the top of the comforter. Went back down and asked Nathen for another room because that room was not clean, he had to go up and check because he didn’t have another room available, then got back to the front desk and told us the room looked fine to him and he couldn’t smell the smoke. Needless to say we were very disappointed and had to leave. We never did stay in that room that night and are in the process of getting our money back. We will never stay at another My Place hotel again, until this gets resolved. Thanks

Arrived to check in around 5:30pm and rooms were still dirty. We were told they were short staffed and many rooms were still not cleaned. The front desk clerk allowed us to drop our things in the room while he cleaned it himself. We left for a few hours and the room was cleaner, but still really dirty. I saw the desk clerk change one bed, but we found a wrapped box of something someone left behind under the covers of the other bed. There was no toilet paper, shampoo or body wash. And I don’t mean that it was low…I mean empty. There were wrappers, bottle caps & loose potato chips by the headboard and behind the night stand. The garbage lid was covered with some unknown brown liquid and there were short hairs everywhere in the bathroom. This all leads me to believe that the toilets weren’t cleaned, either. I had wipes with me and cleaned it all myself. I reached out to the manager who explained that she was at a conference and apologized. She was going to get back to me but there was no follow up. The staff that was there was doing their best and I have no complaints about the front desk. They were doing front desk AND housekeeping duties. (The evening clerk came up to change the other bed). On a positive note, we did love Fargo!

Our stay was quiet and affordable. The bedding and bathroom were not clean. There was mold along the caulk, the shower curtain was dirty and the comforter between the sheets had not been washed either.

Standard, good hotel for travelers. Also, the hotel was very clean.

First and last time I’m staying here. Our room was supposed to be cleaned every 4 days and when the day finally arrived, the cleaning was terrible (they only made 1 of the 2 beds, the bathroom was not cleaned at all, didn’t refill the shampoo and body soap even the bottles were empty, etc). Not a good experience to stay here for us.

Curtain pulling mechanism broken, was not able to completely pull down. Condition bottle was not fully refilled.

Quiet, decent beds and pillows!

The room was clean and spacious with a large refrigerator and nice kitchen area. The bed was clean and comfortable.

We spent a night in this hotel. Face no problem and quiet hotel.

upon check in I informed front desk that I had a service dog, they asked what kind of service dog( which they are not supposed to do) I did say support dog, upon which the manager said it would be another $6 because it was not service dog but support dog, i said that was ok. when I checked out I was charged $15 for the dog, I did not want to argue about the difference I just will not stay there again or any other my place hotel. otherwise room was clean but you could hear people above walking very clearly and voices time to time

The check in was ok. Our room was so so. The bed was abolutely terrible. My wife and i got very little sleep because of the bed. I was going into surgery the next day, so the lack of sleep was not good. When we asked if there was a room that may have a decent bed that we chould change to for the next night, we were informed that even if there was another room, they were not allowed to change us. very bad policy. We wanted to check out, but were told that they could not check us out. We could only check out through the app. (Another bad policy) we couldn't do anything. Even though our stay was terrible, and the cancellation was the very day we checked in, there was no appeal we could make. I tried to call to talk to somebody, but the one time i got through, i could not even understand the person on the other end. Bad Bad Bad! hire people in America, or at least someone that is able to speak, and understand the language. We have decided that never again will we use any of those services, or any hotel that uses them again. Very poor service. We had to pay for the other day even though the stay was terrible. We found another hotel that had nothing to do with these services. Kind of hard to do when your in surgery, and have to find a room the same day.

Everything was great except the bed was so uncomfortable. Pillows were great, blanket was great, bed for me was horrible. And it was only me in there, but I could not get comfortable. And there wasn’t decaf in the room. But literally everything else was superb!!

Pretty noisy, could hear all doors around us slamming shut. Good pillows but mattress too firm for me. Area around hotel nice.

Very clean and large rooms

The rooms were not ready late in the afternoon. The room did not appear clean. It had not been vacuumed and had sand or dirt all over the floor. It looked like they had not changed bedding but only pulled it back. I was charged twice for the room and have already called multiple times with no resolution.

It was all nice and fast to check in and out

I was called about a week before to see if I needed the type of room that I booked, because apparently they got over booked somehow. When we got to the hotel a lot of people in the lobby waiting for their rooms, that where not clean yet , and this was after 3:00 pm check in time. We got our room, the only real problem was our bathroom sink was plugged ,so could not really use it. The beds and pillows were good. There was no coffee in the lobby coffee makers in the morning or creamers, everthing was empty. Heard from other people that came in later that night ,they did not get there room that they payed for , the hotel gave it to someone else. I knew when we got there and the garbage can by the front doors was overflowing, looked like it had not been changed for weeks, that it was not going to be very good! The guys working were doing the best they could, I felt bad for them, but seems like management needs to do a better job!

Fargo was busy for Graduation and a Concert. I booked my stay earlier in the day with Expedia knowing I'd making a trip to Fargo later in the evening. When I was about 30 minutes outside of Fargo(9:30pm), I received a message with a survey asking how check-in went. About 10 minutes later, the hotel sent me a message stating they weren't sure how Expedia could've booked the rooms because they didn't have the room I'd booked for two nights available. Oddly enough, when checking again, they now showed no vacancy on Expedia. After speaking with Expedia customer service, messaging hotel management, and being insured I wouldn't be charged, they informed me that they did still have a 2 bed room available, but that I would have to contact Expedia and have them change my reservation accordingly. After spending 45 mins attempting to even get a hold of a living, breathing person, I opted to find a different hotel entirely and had the privilege of spending the next hour searching for a hotel that wasn't a complete dump and had a vacant room. Once I arrived at my new hotel, I told them about what had happened and the gal behind the counter informed me that she used to work for Myplace and how they sold the room out from under me because I wasn't there yet and there was someone on site looking for a room. Poor managerial practice and poor customer service on the part of MyPlace, as I travel for work often, and Myplace will no longer be on the list of places I am willing to stay.

Staff was amazing. There was an issue that got resolved immediately. Will definitely stay here again.

Checked in at 3:30p. Was told to come back in an hour as room wasnt yet cleaned. came back at 5:30- had a 6p event. 3 ladies in lobby said they had to get cleaning cart and they personally cleaned their rooms. !! i slept on top of bed covers- my sheets didnt look like they were changed.

Start with the bad: 1. I had no idea that you can only exchange bath towels evey 4 days. Is this myplace thing? 2. On the day of my checkout desk attendant was asleep within view of the front desk. (I've got video of me trying to wake him verbally and by knocking hard on the desk) 3. Was going to check out 1 day early and was told by front desk that there is no way even with 2 days notice. No pleasantry just a blank face turned our conversation is over face. Kinda like I was inturrupting her day. The good: 1. Makayla at the front desk. I had called to adjust my arrival date by 1 day and she took care of it over the phone. And to top that, when I approached her, ref #3 above, she explained in full the rules but said she would try and take care of it on her day off, she apologized beforehand if she couldn' t but at least she said she would try on my behalf. (more than the other attendant offered.) In regards to Makayla I noticed she was asst manager, she needs to be promoted for the way she works with the guests and the friendly greetings she always gives. She was the ONLY STAFF in the 10 days we were there that asked how our stay was going. 2. The grounds and room cleanliness was outstanding. 3. Neighborhood felt safe and there was a gym just a 10 minute walk away with pool, sauna, steam room, child care. 2 coffee shops and 3 places to eat also within 10 minute walk. This was a good place to stay for our purposes. The room was well-equipped, clean, and in a handy location for an appointment early the next morning.

Nice place. This is a great area if you are staying in Fargo for one night or a few. I would like to see carpets replaced with plank or tile flooring.

Super quiet neighborhood. Close to Caribou and other Restaurants, plus easy access to the Hwy.

Great location when had family member in Sanford hospital. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows are super comfortable. Room was clean and nice layout. Would stay again.

This hotel is perfect for an extended stay. I did not need the kitchenette but it was fully stocked. I would have appreciated a hot breakfast but the room service options were not to my liking.

The young lady at the counter was so seet and responsive!! Hotel was very clean! The recliner was gross and worn, had to call front desk for sheets to cover it. Also, no breakfast available like ad said. Second night lots of running and door slamming in the middle of the night.

Staff were very friendly and the rooms were super clean. We appreciated it being a dog friendly place as well. The only thing I wish was available was a continental breakfast included.
