Wonderful staff left us a notes with detailed instructions for our late check-in. Thank you! It’s nice to know they’re offering laundry service, even we didn’t have a chance to do it. Very clean room; like the” shoes off” idea. One bathroom door has very loud scratches sounds when open and close it. Will recommend it for it’s location too😊

Das Frühstück war hervorragend, das Paar hat sehr viele Mühe gegeben. Die Attraktionen sind auch sehr nah. Wir würden nochmal gerne hier übernachten.

Photos provided by the property aren’t fair or accurate in reflecting the current state of the property. It is the integrity of the publicity of this place that I cannot withstand. There are a few separate blocks within the property. I did not see any staff maintenance of the block I stayed at during my stay. Common area table space is always occupied by belongings of others residents. Only 2 toilets with showers available to shared among 4 rooms with 2 pac min each from observation. There are no hooks or storage spaces for placing clothes for change. Essentially no space for placing the minimal items one would need for a shower (No shower gel or shampoo was provided).

Guesthouse sympathique. La cuisine est complète bien qu’un peu petite pour le nombre de personne qu’accueil l’hôtel. Situé proches de toute commodité en voiture et des sites à voir sur Myvatn. Sanitaires simples et propres. Petit déjeuner complet.

Great breakfast and fine location, premises were clean. However, the air in the room was bad, a little bit stale without having a window open and the apartment building was quite old, doors and locking system may need renovation, but especially a poor air ventilation affected negatively for the review. In overall, ok stay considering the price level.

Can’t beat the location when it comes to accessing all the incredible naturalistic beauty in the area. Easy check-in and good place to rest for two nights. A bit noisy with the thin walls, but thats what you come to expect when staying at guesthouses. Worth it for the price!

Unser Zimmer hatte eine angenehme Größe, es war sauber, ebenso die gemeinschaftlich genutzten Räume mit WC und Dusche. Die Küche war mit dem nötigsten ausgestattet. Leider roch das Wasser hier stark nach Schwefel. Unsere Anreise verlief auch nicht optimal. Wir sind erst nach 20 Uhr angekommen und hatten vorher versucht die Unterkunft zu erreichen (laut Angabe sei bis 20 Uhr jemand da). Die Nummer war leider nicht erreichbar. Über Myvatn Accomodation habe ich eine Dame erreicht, die dann die Info weitergegeben hat. Der Schlüssel lag für uns dann auch bereit inkl. einen Zettel mit ein paar Infos. Den Schlüssel, den wir erhalten hatten, war für ein Zimmer, wo schon jemand drin war. Zum Glück war ein Gast so freundlich und hatte glücklicherweise noch eine andere Nummer und kontaktierte die Gastgeberin. Sie kam dann recht schnell und hatte uns leider einen falschen Schlüssel gegeben. Die Mücken in diesem Ort können sich sehr lästig sein. Ansonsten ist es ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um den Diamond Circle zu fahren. Vom Preis her fand ich es dennoch etwas sehr hoch. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen. Ein Supermarkt, wo man sich selbst Sachen für die kleine Küche holen kann, liegt sehr nah bei.

We stayed at Eldá Guesthouse for four nights, and found it to be a perfect home base for exploring the Myvatn area. Conveniently close to grocery shopping, which made it easy to prepare our meals in the kitchen. All the staff , including reception, kitchen and cleaning, were wonderful.
