Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City

Nice property, better signage for casino vs hotel door could offer more visibility. Front desk service was very good and the team was helpful on Saturday afternoon and early Sunday morning. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. More interconnected lighting (fewer switches) could be beneficial. I was surprised at the visible rust in the showers, nothing a good deep steam clean couldn't remove. Also better place for towels when you are in the shower could be a an even better if (shower door and back of the door), maybe other hooks or a rack of some type in the shower itself.

The hotel is excellent. The casino is excellent. Could use one more mid-price/ sports bar restaurant. The only complaint I have is there is no parking reserved for hotel guests. This made check in more of a hassle, especially with no valet.

Hotel parking and entrance is hard to navigate with the construction of the casino entrances. Elevator at parking garage is not working, so you have to lug your suitcases down stairs. Beauriful rooms and great service.

Such a fun atmosphere with all of the rock and roll decor. Although we didn’t hit the jackpot, the casino was a lot of fun.

The building is beautiful and the rooms are spacious highlighting the architectural aspects of the building. It would have been nice to have parking specifically for hotel guests.

Finding the hotel check-in was very confusing, compared to other hotels and casinos

Needed a quick stay in Sioux City and have had good luck with the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Miami. Obviously Sioux City, Iowa isn’t on the same scale as Miami, but it was a very nice hotel and seemed quite clean as well. Checking was very fast and the front desk staff were super friendly and very helpful! Complimentary drinks upon check in were a welcome surprise. The standard twin queen room itself was very spacious, with a large bathroom and plenty of space in the bedroom area. Room was mostly clean other than some dust here and there. There was a pair of women’s dress slacks crumpled in the chair, so not sure how that was missed when the room was cleaned. Not a big deal. Just took them to front desk. The only downside to the room was the smell. Perhaps we were above the casino, but the room smelled like bowling alley or casino all the time. A faint but persistent smell of cigarette smoke. In fact the entire property smelled like cigarettes. We are at the main restaurant,Main + Abbey, and the food was wonderful. Drinks were great etc. Again though, just off the casino floor, the cigarette smell was pretty strong. I guess it only seemed strange because I’ve been to several hotel/casino combos and many of them you would never know they even allow smoking. Perhaps the ventilation system wasn’t working properly or something. All in all, not sure I would stay here again, given the other great hotels in the area.

The overall ambiance of the hotel was really nice. The front desk staff was friendly. However, the room, while nice in size, was not cleaned properly. Specifically, the bathroom had eyelashes and hair on the shelf and floor. Additionally, the lower shelf where towels are placed had a noticeable layer of dust. So it was obvious that the shelf had not been wiped down in a while nor the floor swept. The beds were very comfortable and all other accommodations were great.

Customer service was excellent, very clean! Casino was clean and inviting and the bar staff was very friendly.

Room service advertised until midnight. Tried to order at 11:00 as we checked in little late and it had closed at 10:00! On a Friday night! I saw the disclosure about it closing earlier without warning but what a shame. Also when we returned to our room around 10:45 the smell of sewer was awful!

Super clean, comfortable and quiet. Great atmosphere

The room design is really nice. Not the greatest vibe. And smoke smell is everywhere. Service was also pretty subdued.

Hotel said it was closing for the next month for a reset— the rooms were nice- but the lobby and elevator carried a heavy cigarette smell from the casino area. Hopefully thier reset is to add more ventilation.

Complimentary drinks at check-in was pretty cool! The rooms were neat! But the smoke in the casino made its way through the whole place.

This was one of the best hotel we have been to. The room was huge with a walk-in shower. We will definitely be staying there again. The vaulted ceilings made the room seem so big! Try this hotel you will love it and the beds were so comfortable.

Bed was so hard. Shower handle was broken. And the 30 minute wait at casino was kinda strange and its not posted anywhere. Man at reward card area was very rude. But other then that was a beautiful hotel interesting decor.

Always wanted to stay at a Hard Rock property and was NOT disappointed! Best shower of my life! Loved the crazy high ceilings and blackout curtains! Whole experience was amazing! Even the workers at the desk had great personalities and made it fun for my son, who is 13 and NOT easily amused. Thank you!

the room! it’s all about that room. casino wasn’t great. restaurant was closed the day we were there. but still had a great experience and would 10/10 go back there again if ever in the area. got a deluxe room on top floor. it was spacious, clean, cute decor/theme, and sooooo comfortable. like sleeping in a cloud.

Everything from the staff at check to the welcome drinks and then staff at check out was perfect! If I had to say anything, (and I really couldn't even complain about this) I would say maybe a fan in the room. But really the whole experience was wonderful!

Everything was great with the check in. Kirra and Lucy were excellent . I liked the customer service except I find it unacceptable that I could not get a receipt upon check out because the front desk agent said the reason was I booked through Hotels.com. This is unacceptable since I have been overcharged in the past. Also I get receipts from other hotels upon checkout even when using Hotels.com. I am leaving the hotel very annoyed because of this. Otherwise the customer service was honestly great. I did appreciate the late check out from Corey.

Rude front desk employee

Our room was nice and it was clean. We enjoyed almost everything about our stay here. The only front desk person clearly was new and not very knowledgeable. It was unfortunate that nearly all dining options were closed. I assume they never opened again after Covid. They really should declare this clearly to guests at the time of booking. The biggest issue and the reason for my lower score is that I booked with a third party but the hotel also charged me for the full fee of the stay. I was double charged. Weeks later I noticed the error by coincidence. They admitted that they have a known training issue where third party bookings were double billed. It is completely unacceptable that they didn't take action to find these billing mistakes and correct them.

Kiera was absolutely anazing!!! We had to stop because of the weather and we didnt expect to say or have the extra cash. She was completly understanding and took the $10 we had left for the incidentals instead of the $50. Hotel was very clean and the beds and pillows were great.

Great service!! We requested additional items and they brought them to our room with in minutes. Always a fun place to stay!

Convenience to the Anthem!

Front staff was amazing and kind. They even made our dinner reservation for us. The food was excellent. We loved our room and wish we would have had more them there. W were there to see a concert at the Orpheum which was around 6 blocks away so easy walking distance. Love the bathroom products and the bed was comfy. Nice music playing as we entered our room.

We stayed at the hard rock for convenience....We was there to see a band at the anthem there.....The hotel was nice,clean & the people were nice....We definitely stay there again.

Overall our stay was great, the property is well taken care of. Only thing, we struggled finding the hotel lobby to check in.

A very cool place! The rooms were very, very nice! The casino is nice as well and the staff were very friendly. $5 drinks at the bar. The nice place to eat IS CLOSED Sunday and Monday. A lot of exposed beams and old brick from the historic buliding it occupies......the beds were sooooo comfy!!

Usual HRC restaurant not open and limited options in the restaurant that was open. Nothing free, even drinks when gambling came with a high price tag.

Very cool property but terrible dining options. The main restaurant is not open for breakfast. The other restaurant has limited hours as well. If you have an under 21 with you, they are not allowed at the 2nd restaurant. That means that an over 21 has to get food to go and eat in the room. This hotel really needs a room service option. Room is very clean with updated amenities. Staff is friendly.

We chose to have our small company’s Christmas get together here as it was central to all of us that work remotely, and the rooms looked pretty great for a reasonable price. Check in was great, front desk ladies were super friendly and we were all BS’ing and laughing more than I have at any check in! Everything was very clean with the exception of one pillow case that appeared to have a water stain..just tossed that to the side. Breakfast at the Fuel American Grill was GREAT! 4 of the 5 of us also won on the casino floor.. and this was seriously the first time I’ve ever had an enjoyable casino experience. Thank you!

Very nice room and comfortable. Lacking in restaurant choices as not all we’re open and the one that was had limited hours.

All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. Especially the girl who was at the desk and checked us in when we arrived. I forgot her name but she had pretty purple hair. What I didn't like was having very little choices for eating or dining. The main dining room was closed on Sunday and Monday which I was very disappointed with and was surprised that a casino would close the dining room down for 2 days. We had to drive someplace to eat.

The room was beautiful but the bed sank in alot, not the most comfortable but great location as I was going to a concert at the arena nearby that was within walking distance. The food at main and abby was amazing.
