Great place just minutes away from downtown Galena with beautiful views. Alfredo greeted us and could not have been more welcoming. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. There was everything you could want in a small inn ... fireplace in room, swimming pool, gazebo, fire pit, and decks outside each room with chairs and table. We will definitely be back!

Great amenities ..full size coffee maker, 8 bath towels, real rinse and drinking glasses, glass ashtray for use outside room on cafe table and chairs, DVD player, wine glasses with opener...etc Natural gas grill with a lot of patio space and a heated outdoor pool. Provides beach towels for pool. Everything great! Also fire pit with unlimited wood.

Warmly greeted at check in. Were told of some activities round the area we might like. The grounds were very nicely kept up and the views were beautiful. My daughter and I enjoyed the pool area as well

LeFevre Resort is a beautiful place just outside of town. The cottage we stayed in was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The property is amazing with little details like flower planters and hanging baskets that make it extra appealing. There's a beautiful pond with a gazebo and well-manicured, wide-open spaces to simply roam around. Alfred, the Inn Keeper was extremely helpful. Overall, our weekend away was awesome. We'd stay here again, for sure!

This is a fantastic, very well-maintained, beautiful property that is perfect for families, reunions, pre-wedding parties, weddings, and couples. There's a swimming pool, volley ball net, various toys and games to borrow as well as DVDs, a pond with two paddle boats, and plenty of property to roam around. The person who checked us in--unfortunately, I can't remember his name--accommodated our situation perfectly and was very helpful in describing the property's amenities as well as places to go in Galena. We stayed in the Queen Suite, and it was perfect, with plenty of room for a family, including a well-stocked kitchen and a jacuzzi tub (and fireplace which we didn't use). This is a smaller property and family-owned, which I love to support. So happy we stayed here and both the owner and her team were kind and helpful with finding us the right space for our family. Honestly, it was perfect!

Beautiful views. We will be back when it’s warmer so we can enjoy the pond & fire pit.

Absolutely loved our cottage. So comfortable. Loved being able to have a real fire in the fireplace. Enjoyed being able to use the basketball hoop and basketball. Very pretty area. Would love to go back.

Amazing!! We enjoyed everything from the beautiful green landscape, amenities (pool, volleyball, basketball, pond, grilling area, bonfire, etc), service and cleanliness. This is a beautiful property, close to downtown, that is well maintained and cared for. Thanks for the great service and terrific relaxing weekend getaway!! Looking forward to returning soon!

Friendly staff, very clean rooms

Great place to stay at. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and very enjoyable. Staff is friendly and service was excellent. Highly recommend this resort if you are ever in the Galena area.

There was a spider in my bed and it bit me

Check-in was very easy. The grounds are well kept and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. The property is just as pictured on the website. Only about 5 minutes to downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

Came up for the weekend with my wife. To get the positive out of the way, the outside was very nice with a nice overlook of Galena. Now for the bad. We stayed in the smaller rooms of the main building. First look over there was grime on the walls and bathroom door. As if they had never been cleaned. The bed felt as if all the middle springs were toast. When you laid down you pulled to the center as if there was a crater in the center of the bed. Next there were quite a few bugs that I had to take care of including spiders, mosquitos, and moths. I did let the front desk know about the grime when we went to grab breakfast from the office (mediocre by the way, I just grabbed coffee) and they did clean the walls, but the bathroom door was still disgusting. Now the big issue came the next night, note the bugs. I noticed something crawling by the bed and killed it. Upon inspection it was a Roach and that I'm not cool with in the least bit. When there is one, there is more, so we packed carefully after inspecting all of our belongings as to not bring one home, and hauled out of there. On the way out I gave the office emergency phone number a call as they are gone by 9 pm. I spoke to the least concerned woman when I told her about the roach. She wanted me to believe that it was not a roach and that it was a stink (A very different bug). With such arrogance as if she was in the room and saw the whole thing. Won't refund. Summary: Roaches, Terrible Service, Dirty Room, and Broken Bed.

We had a very pleasant stay. The property is beautiful and the cottage was very clean. The gentleman at the reception desk was so nice and friendly. We plan on staying there again!!

This place was very nice. Due to the time of year (December) and days I stayed (M-W), I may have been the only guest on the property at least one day. The staff were nice as well. The view from my room was amazing! Some snow came and it was even prettier. I can only imagine how summer views are. I didn't try the free breakfast, so I can't say how it was. My room was perfect and very clean. The fireplace was a bonus for me. Galena is hills and valleys, so if you visit in winter, be careful driving on those hills. Just saying... I've already recommended this inn to my sister and friends.

We chose this property because we were skiing at Chestnut Mountain, and the location was great. The cottage was very unique and worked great for our family. We did have some issues getting hot water for more than one shower/bath, and the whirlpool in the unit needs to be cleaned, but overall it was a good stay. The wood burning fireplace was a nice surprise as well.

We enjoyed our stay at Lefevre Inn and Resort. It's a beautiful area and our cottage was very nice. The only negative was the jetted tub in our room was dirty and slimy in the jets. A little extra attention in that area and it would be 5 star across the board! We'll definitely be coming back.

What a wonderful spot for a quiet, relaxing getaway! The room was spotless and the fireplace made it so cozy. The staff was amazing and very helpful. And the views of the sunset were incredible.

Room was clean and had plenty of firewood for the fireplace at no additional charge. Room could have had a microwave to make popcorn while sitting by the fire at night. Overall nice place to stay. Thank you

My wife and I decided to spend our 23rd wedding anniversary in Galena. We haven’t been to the area since middle school for field trips/school ski trips etc. we live about 2.5 hours away so it was a nice scenic drive. We booked a cottage at the LeFevre resort and it did not disappoint. Everything was exactly as described. Was pleasantly surprised that there was actually a wood burning fireplace as that was a dealbreaker. The jetted tub was also a necessity and it was perfect. Great scenery and a wonderful staff made the stay a weekend to remember. Hoping to bring the entire family back if possible and will definitely stay here again!

The woodburning fireplace was so relaxing.

My husband and I booked a trip for just a getaway.This was our first time to Galena. We loved this place. We had a two bedroom cabin with fireplace and jetted tub. Five minute drive to everything. Manage was right on top of stuff. Our tv had some issue and they fixed right away. Super quiet. Can’t wait to come back. My only complaint is bed was a little hard but still ok.

We LOVED our room! I can’t think of ANYTHING to complain about ~ everything was perfect!! We will definitely be staying here again!

The room itself was so cozy and comfortable. We got the queen room for the huge tub and it was SO WORTH IT! The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I am a morning person and went for a stroll down by the lake at 6am and it was just magical ♥️

Our usual was booked up a whole month in advance and we really needed a night away from home to unwind. I badly wanted to steal the couch, I'm fairly certain that was the most comfortable couch I've ever sat on. The bed was comfortable and the room overall fit our needs. The only downside for us was the jacuzzi tub absolutely needs more grab bars. People in their 40s and up in that deep tub all wet trying to get out causes lots of bruises.

We stayed at LeFevre Inn for four nights and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Booking through Expedia was simple and convenient, and when a small issue came up with my card, the owner personally helped resolve it quickly and easily. The staff was equally attentive and welcoming throughout our stay, which made everything stress-free. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located for exploring Galena while still feeling tucked away. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Between the smooth booking process, the helpful staff, and the overall atmosphere, we’d absolutely stay here again.

This was a great find!! Environment is beautiful and so relaxing. The owner/staff Ramona and Alfredo are absolutely amazing and accommodating!! We will be returning and would highly recommend this off the beaten path gem!!

This property is absolutely beautiful, Ramona, was super friendly upgraded us, toa house, which was so nice, clean, and peaceful. I would definitely recommend.

Conveniently close to Galena for dinner out.

The room was comfortable. Not far from sights to see, and in a quiet pastoral beautiful.

This was a wonderful stay. It felt cozy and friendly. It was in the country but very close to town.

Nice room, loved that it was pet friendly and close to downtown Galena. Only thing I would ask is for better signage to find front office when arriving at night. Staff was super friendly. We went during winter but plan to go in the spring/summer. Favorite part- besides being pet friendly, was having a fireplace in the room

Lefevre Inn and Resort is a hidden gem in the Galena area. It was easy to find, just a short five minute drive from downtown. Check in was easy, and staff was super friendly. The room was clean and had amazing country views. The chairs and table outside our room was nice for coffee and relaxation. This was the perfect spot to be close to shopping but far enough outside of town to be extremely peaceful and away from the crowds. I heard the occasional cow or rooster but not much else. It was very quiet and just what we needed for a great weekend!

Great stay at the LeFevre. Beautiful loft cottage above the garage. Huge room overlooking a small pond and the city of Galena. We were here for a ski race at Chestnut Mountain. The resort is only 10 minutes from the top or bottom of mountain. Great location to Galena as well (only 10 minutes). Ski racer really enjoyed the whirlpool tub at the end of the day. Highly recommend. We'll be back.

Highly recommend this beautiful Inn & Resort! Will definitely come back. Short drive from downtown Galena, but totally worth not being within walking distance to enjoy some quiet time in this peaceful resort.

Great view and easy ride to down town

It was a beautifully well manicured lawn with amazing views of the landscape with a bonus view of the on-site pond. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect… not too overwhelming but a nice selection. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. The price was right!

We stayed for a weekend. It is a country style, very enjoyable if looking for a quiet place. The view is very nice. Our room was ready, they let us in before the check in. That was nice, we didn’t even asked for it. Since it is a country style-everything it would have been nice if they had a country style breakfast. Just a suggestion as it would add to the experience. Thank you for everything.

Great place to stay. Quick drive to either downtown Galena or Dubuque. The apartment was very clean and lots of room. Continental breakfast was good. Beautiful property. We enjoyed the hot tub and the firepit. Will be back.

I needed a day in Galena and an overnight getaway and husband came by later. They got my room ready early and it was a very nice and relaxing time. Nice pool great service and my room was excellent #8. Only thing there are stairs...but knew that ahead. Nice breakfast...need to go to outside tables or to your room...trays. Thank you!!

Had a great stay. The fireplace gave off a warm, cozy feeling. The room was nice and roomy for two. Check in was easy and the gentleman at the desk nice. They offered cereal for breakfast so we went out to eat. The grounds and view were great.
