Beautiful property and was convenient to everything in the area. Coffee on the front porch overlooking the lake was a joy. WiFi was not working initially but a fix was found. Property parking was a real bonus. Very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend The Old Bank House.

Great B&B. Love the location, our room and the public space. Parking very tight when fully booked but on street, overnight parking after 8 pm is available. We had to park on the street across from the B&B. Not an issue.

A lovely heritage property with glorious views of the lake, a spacious porch and outdoor space for breakfast along with indoor dining, and clean spacious rooms. The lake and shopping within minutes from the property. We stayed here a few years ago and will be back again!

Beautiful old building. Only a block from the waterfront, and just a couple blocks from the quainte stores and restaurants. Fort George is also walkable from here. The breakfasts were delicious, and delivered with a smile by the lovely staff. The common area is tastefully decorated. We were very comfortable here.

We loved the place. Great breakfast, easy check in. Parking. Super friendly staff. Lovely building with antiques and art. Close to everything we needed... Affordable for the area. We really enjoyed sitting on the front deck with the view of the lake and the fort. We enjoyed drinks there and played cards and board games.

2 nights stay. Great location and historic home made B&B. Rooms and terrace/balconies lend to overall experience. The cooked-to-order breakfast was delightfully served in a dining area off of a terrace. On site parking is tight but accommodating. Restaurants and shopping is a few walkable blocks away.

Wonderful property in a great location! We decided not to rent a car and just ubered from Niagara Falls. We were able to walk everywhere, including a couple of wineries, from Old Bank House. It’s a lovely option to have your breakfast on the porch or patio looking at the water. Would definitely stay again.

We liked the location and view of the lake. The property has an old world charm on the exterior but is quite run down. Our room was spartan but clean. However it was cold with no way to adjust the temperature and we saw ants. The towels were skimpy and either torn or stained. We had to wait one hour for our breakfast on our checkout morning. So sorry to report unfavorably but the owner must really take more interest in his property

The B&B was located less than ten minutes walk from the historic downtown and the lake. The Cedar room slept three people with it's own bathroom and a little balcony to sit out on. You got to preselect your breakfast from a sheet of options - all were very tasty. Staff were extremely friendly. Loved the beverage set-up on the second floor - Keurig, water cooler, small freezer with icetrays, and a fridge for the floor to use. Highly recommend it!

The rooms are furnished with garage sale type furniture. Very minimal. Room was not dusted but otherwise was clean. There are no staff in the building at night. Very basic accommodation in a wonderful location. Breakfast was very good.

The Ol d Bank House is a comfortable and convient B and B. The breakfasts and service were wonderful. The rtoom was clean but the bathroom could have used a wipe down of the baseboards and new towels. The windolws were full of bugs and cob webs -- as long as you didn't open them, they weren't a problem -- if you did, they were nasty. The porch needed to be hosed to wash away the webs and bugs. Comfortable bed, nice bed linens. Coffee upstairs needs to be checked at night for cups and cream so that it's ready for the morning. Gracious staff and overall just fine. The view of the river can't be beat!

Lovely olde worlde hotel in a manicured town setting right on the shores of Lake Ontario (well, mouth of Niagara River!). Superb service, very comfortable room and easy walking into NOTL town centre. Only gripe is poor wifi which was being upgraded as we left!

We really enjoyed our 1 night saty mid-week this June. The beds were super comfy and the staff friendly and useful. We stayed in the Rose room. Our only complaint was our room was hot at night. It was 24 degrees outside and our room didn't cool down at night. There was central air with a/c working downstairs, but we didnt notice any cool coming out of our vents until the a.m. We opened windows, but it was a calm, still night. We didnt bring this up with staff, so dont know if there would have been a remedy. We ended up sleeping well.

This property was super charming and cozy. The location couldn’t be any better- stunning views of the lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario from our room, and easy walking distance to restaurants and shops on Queen Street. The bed was comfy, the room was impeccably clean. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Melanie is the hotel manager and a real sweetheart. She made the check- in process easy and was very accommodating. The Pine room that we stayed in got a little warm (no individual room climate control), but we opened a window slightly and the temp was perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Bank House. We stayed in the Gallery room, it was beautiful, comfortable and had an amazing view. The staff was lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious! I would stay here again.

The Rose room was large and comfy. One of the beds has quite a squeak! Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location. Beautiful black and white photographs throughout the building.

Wonderful experience - a great B&B with large, beautifully decorated room and common areas, updated bath, chef-prepared breakfast with several menu options. One of the best locations in NOTL if you are attending the Shaw Festival or Royal George Theatres - a short walk to each, and to the downtown shopping and restaurants. We have already booked another stay!

Unable to reach anyone at the B&B when our group got covid and we needed to make a change. Contacted Expedia and they couldn’t reach anyone by phone. Tried calling the only number listed on their site over 10 time’s starting at 8 am. Sent three messages with reference numbers and my contact number and no one followed up. Never had this experience before for a B&B/ hotel booking.

Disappointed! The breakfast was an almost minimum offering and the time window of 8am to 9am was too short and almost inconvenient. Coffee was only available during that one hour which was definitely considered "not good enough" or, again, just the bare minimum and reflected a 'cheap' treatment of the B&B's guests. There was no hot water for the two mornings we were there due to a mechanical part problem and while we understand that breakdowns happen and sometimes a replacement part is not immediately available, there was absolutely no discussion of the inconvenience nor any goodwill offer of any kind to compensate us for that inconvenience. That is not acceptable customer relations or consideration when full Summer rate, or any rate, has been paid. In summary, while the property has a good and convenient location, I would not return or recommend this B&B for the described reasons.

Mary Clare and staff were wonderful! Customer service is top notch. We had an issue with a different property and they were so gracious to help us out. The inn is clean and beautiful. Comfy beds, cute balcony in the bathroom. There are a ton of interesting antiques in the common areas.The breakfast was great. Loved our stay!!

I had a really great stay here! The staff were super friendly and helpful from the start. The Old Bank House is a phenomenonal location within minutes of everything on Niagara on the Lake. Laurie is an absolute treasure, professional, accomdating, in-touch with all the guests needs. The property is very attractive, with a lovely view of the lake. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only thing that let the accomodation down was the surly, un-interested female who 'checked us in' and served the breakfast. She was incredibly rude.

Beautiful property and was convenient to everything in the area. Coffee on the front porch overlooking the lake was a joy. WiFi was not working initially but a fix was found. Property parking was a real bonus. Very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend The Old Bank House.

The cooked-to-order breakfast was delightfully served in a dining area off of a terrace. On site parking is tight but accommodating. Restaurants and shopping is a few walkable blocks away.

The Old Bank House is a beautifully-kept historic landmark across from a Park lining the mouth of the Niagara River, looking across to Fort Niagara on the US side of the River and out to Lake Ontario and the distant skyline of Toronto. The decor and especially the owner's black and white photos are memorable, the breakfast quality and arrangements and views are exceptional at any time of year. The Bank House is a very easy walk to other attractions in one a Canada's most charming little towns, with the Shaw Festival productions leading the way.

Wonderful property in a great location! We decided not to rent a car and just ubered from Niagara Falls. We were able to walk everywhere, including a couple of wineries, from Old Bank House. It’s a lovely option to have your breakfast on the porch or patio looking at the water. Would definitely stay again.

The B&B was a 200 year old bank building that has been converted into a cosy B&B. Excellent friendy staff. It has a beautiful location overlooking the mouth of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario. It is easy walking to downtown or other sites. It was a joy to stay there!

Usually, breakfasts at B and Bs add to the enjoyment of one’s stay. Breakfast both mornings of our visit was disappointing. Tired food left too long on a warming tray; watery Canadian bacon; English muffin so tough; cold oatmeal. The whole experience was off-putting. Top price for a room (River Room) were it is quite difficult to use the toilet, which is on a strangely-raised platform. Very clean room and bath. When we inquired about Wi-Fi, we were told the password was in the room. It was not, and by the time re realized it, the staff had left for the night. We will not return to The Old Bank House.

Very pleasant stay, felt like home. Staff was friendly, coffee and tea was available at all times. We had a wonderful breakfast, French toast and eggs benedict, then had a lovely stroll by the lake. Town was short walk and was picturesque and businesses friendly. First stay at Niagara on the Lake and hoping to visit again.

Liked the fact that it was only minutes from main street of NOTL. Parking, while a bit cramped, was on the property and easily accessable. Refridgerator, coffee machine(s) were a great ammenity. Welcomed with a gift bottle of wine when anniversary was mentioned as the reason for our trip. There were multipile options (5) for breakfast with someyhing for everyone and I am sure that if you asked, a special dietary breakfast could have been prepared. Nothing to note as a dislike - enjoy all the positives and overlook or ignore any negatives and have a great time.

The location is excellent! Need to put a little money into the place. Front porch is in disrepair. Out bathroom sink top was not secure. Would need a late check out if I wanted to dry my hair with that blow dryer…hahaha. Breakfast was excellent. It would be nice if the living room was more inviting. A bit crowded with “stuff” We couldn’t open window in our room because the screens are not in good shape and bugs would come in. Just need a little money invested. It was our first time to NOTL. What a beautiful town!
