I like the convenience of the property. Being able to park in front of our door was perfect. The chairs outside were a nice touch. Easy to get to the office, restaurant or walking path. Staff was very helpful and accommodating with any requests. Room is outdated and needs some interior work such as new carpets, fixtures, TV, furniture, etc but all amenities worked fine. Included was a small fridge with freezer, microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was great and service was a 10 out of 10. If you don’t care about modern style or decor, I recommend this motel.

Room was larger than I expected with kitchenette which was really nice to have. 2 queen beds were situated so that they afforded privacy which was also nice. Room was older and showing its age in paint (chipped), flooring (soft and uneven) and cleanliness.

We walk and it smells of cleaning products,which we were okay with, check the sheets which were clean so we were very happy to see. We left and when we got back, the bugs came out. Place needs a deep clean, bathroom fan is disgusting, only one towel/cloth per person, carpet needs to be replaced, no hair dryer as advertised. Was a decent price but was not impressed and will not be back

Rooms are dated, not particularly clean. I noticed the fan in my bathroom and the AC unit were filthy (and incredibly noisy but I could forgive that). Looked like mould on the ceilings but couldn’t be sure. Linens were actually very clean though, so in terms of a place to sleep, it was fine.

The cleanliness of the motel room was absolutely awful. We left the next day and didn’t stay the 3 days we were supposed to. I couldn’t let my granddaughter touch the floor it was so bad. Took pictures of just how bad it was. Will never stay there again.

Ok staff were great. The room smell was horrible. Dirty/ Musty? The air unit was full of dust, the walls has spider webs and bugs, the light unit in the centre of the room was FULL of flies, I kept that light off because it was so unnerving. I had wet wipes and went over the places I had to touch and literally left the unit cleaner when leaving. Not sure what I was expecting but this wasn’t great. Will camp outside next time.

The problem was that this was not clean. The smoke detectors were not installed. There were beard hairs in the broken broken sink knobs. The tub surround was broken. The carpet was so dirty. The linoleum was dirty. The bedding smelled clean, but the beds themselves not sure. The bathroom walls had weird black spots all over the walls. Overall... this motel needs a massive overhaul. Also, the pull out bed was actually a fold out couch. No mattress. No bedding for it unless one asked.

Carpet was filthy. Blind was broken by the bathroom. Poor quality maintenance. When I found the bug they did immediately come and check the room. And the refunded my fee for the night and I went to another motel. Motel grounds need work to make it clean and welcoming.

Keep in mind: This is a very bare bones budget motel. You get what you pay for, but the owners do try to keep things clean and in reasonable repair, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had two rooms. One of them was very clean, the other was not as thoroughly cleaned (toilet had dried urine on the outside front of the bowl, carpet was stained and you could see where vomit had been cleaned). Our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, but the property is really old so it was probably legacy smoke from when smoking was allowed in the rooms. Not a terrible place, and it was reasonably quiet and felt fairly safe. Go in with the appropriate expectations - the staff were great and clearly doing their best.

Clean but dated. Exactly what I expected for the location, age and price. They just need to take out the ancient carpets and install some laminate, and update the mattresses. Typical motel vibes. Very quiet. Windows open easily and let in a great cross breeze, and our doors locked securely. I'd stay here again, especially if they got firmer mattresses.

It was nice to find out upon arrival that we got upgraded to a suite. It gave us a kitchenette and a full fridge/freezer for our ice packs and a bed for each of our kids, but it was on a second level with a narrow staircase so moving things up/down was tricky. The carpet looked dirty and the building in general looked quite old. We took comfort in knowing we'd only spent one night here and the price was affordable. The location was conveniently north of the Michichi Creek, away from the busy-ness of downtown Drumheller and easy to head up to the museum in the morning.

Right on the highway to the Tyrell museum. Busy road even at night. Thin walls make it a noisy sleep. Floors are definitely not level or solid but they keep it very clean.

Absolutely beautiful view of the badlands from our suite door! Staff was really nice, room was super clean and well stocked. At one point we accidentally locked ourself out of the room and even though it was after office hours, someone came and let us back in really quickly and was so cool about it..thanks again we loved our stay!!

The Indian food at the restaurant on site was fantastic! The room is very old and not maintained. The pillows were flat, and the bed was okay for comfort. My friend and I had a great time anyway because we hadn’t seen each other in months, and we didn’t care that the room wasn’t perfect.

We were not able to check into the Badlands Motel as there was no one there. We waited from 230pm to 345pm. The desk & adjoining restaurant were abandoned. Another resident tried to find out where the staff was, as well. He hollered out their names, looked in the laundry area behind the desk. No one was there at all. We tried phone calling a number of times. No answer. We rang their doorbell. No answer. Now we are at the Quality Inn. On the 3rd floor. With a dog. Not happy about our experience.

Firstly, the motel overbooked itself! I made my reservation SEVERAL months in advance and when I arrived they had no room available. There were several other parties who had arrived just before I did who were experiencing the same issue; they managed to get one out of the 3 rooms they booked but they decided to leave to another hotel so I ended up getting the room they left behind. Lastly, and equally as bad, the rooms are gross!!! They smell awful! Pets, smoking and mildew/damp/mold smells all in one. And they’re dirty!! Water damaged baseboards in my room, and a sticky/dirty carpet. We won’t be staying again, and we are telling everyone we know to not stay there either.

Our room was clean the young man working the front desk in the office was amazing. I have a severe allergy to scents and chemicals the towels and bedding had a strong laundry scent. I explained this to the young man and he immediately offered to wash new towels and bedding for me using no detergents. I greatly appreciate the lengths he went through to make my stay more comfortable and safe for me. We will definitely be staying here again. I’m not sure if his name but from me to you, thank you!!!

The motel had cancelled our room leaving us without options in the town. We had chosen the option of paying at the motel upon arrival when we booked well in advance. The motel seeing the opportunity to get more for the room cancelled our room without notification. We had to drive 80 km to find another room. Very frustrating and poor practice on the part of the motel. They tried to blame it on Expedia but this was not the case.

I left a dive watch in the motel. I contacted them and they said they would mail it. Ten days later it still hasn’t arrived. So I called them. The person who answered the phone would keep interrupting. They said they preferred to that we arrange a courier to pick it up. In ten days they didn’t let me know that they didn’t mail it. And that they preferred that we have it picked up. He became very rude, began swearing, blaming health problems. He’s not the only person who works there. He should have let me know he couldn’t meet his obligations.

I paid the pet fee and $100 deposit, didn’t use their linens, pet does not go on furniture, and they took $100 deposit and I said I wanted it back. I took photos. The place was spotless when I left. And they kept my $100. That is theft and the owner swore at me when I called twice politely to work it out and get my deposit back. Terrible and illegal. THEFT!!! I will be calling authorities.

Conveniently located a short drive from the Royal Tyrell Museum and an easy 1km walk into the Drumheller town, passing the giant dinosaur and fossil shops. The room itself was dated and the floors grubby, but the beds were clean and the unit was spacious. We were travelling with an elderly family member and she struggled to walk up the stairs to the unit. Our downstairs and next door neighbours were very loud. Would recommend the WHIFS restaurant attached to the motel- tasty breakfast with decent portion sizes and a cute train that goes around the room.

Hotel was reasonable for summer season in Drumheller. It's a dated hotel, but the room was clean though. But floors were very squeaky and if anyone moved upstairs you heard everystep. Restaurant open 7 am to 2pm due to staffing issue. But staff we pleasant with any interaction we had with them.

Had an issue with the Room being extremely HOT so when I contacted the Owner he looked into it immediately & shortly after he went into the basement to check it out the problem was fixed within minutes. Restaurant on site with Fantastic food that has a small Thomas the Train that going around the top of the ceiling throughout the whole Restaurant. Dynamite to witness:) Absolutely stay there again. Good price for the room and shares a great breakfast/diner restaurant. Has a nice view of the badlands outside and was quiet at night time. Needs proper renovations not masked, showers were weak, you have to choose between open curtains with a/c cooling the room or a/c cooling the closed curtains

Yes, the bathroom is more or less the size of a closet. And does it really matter? It was clean and on a budget holiday I’m spending most of my time off doing things, not hanging around in the room. The attached restaurant WHIFS is lively and filled with happy families and trains and dinosaurs. What more can you ask for?😎
