We tolerated their "under renovation" status and the fact that the elevator didnt work -- I went up and down four stories of stairs, twice. The place was a total disaster, and unsafe. There were dogs in the rooms near us, barking all the time. There were hockey tournaments happening, and teams of young players making noise. But the worst thing that happened was being charged for damage we did not cause at all, in any fashion. We will be following up with management. I am exhausted from what was supposed to be a restful trip.

Nous étions juste à côté du groupe de ventilation et de l’ascenseur ce qui faisait beaucoup de bruit toute la nuit. Bref, nous étions en vacances avec nos 3 enfants et cette nuit n'a pas été reposante du tout et nous étions déçu de ne pas avoir la piscine... Nous aurions dû être prévenus de tout cela. La nuit ne vaut vraiment pas le prix que nous avons payé et nous souhaitons demander un dédommagement.

Stains on the sofas and beds, smelly carpets, and washrooms were dirty. Our first time staying at holiday inn and very disappointing one. Breakfast seemed like just for face saving with disposable/ plastic utensils. Only good thing was front counter staff very polite and welcoming.

Great hotel next to a mall and easy to get around the neighborhood. Hotel has modern decor, comfy beds and an appetizing buffet breakfast. Only downside was the AM loss of TV channels, but YouTube filled the void. I would stay here again.

Decent hotel but needs an aesthetics revamp. The old brown and green colour combination makes it look like you've stepped back into the 90's. Outside of that, it's a decent place. It's across the mall too which is good. Staff was very friendly. Thanks

Everything was great except the pull out couch. Don’t plan to use it. The mattress was uneven and you could feel every coil. Even my 7 year old granddaughter couldn’t sleep on it.

"Suite" was just a slightly larger room with a fold out sofa bed with no bed sheets. I had to go to front to get bed sheets even though i listed 5 occupants. 1 elevator out and very busy had to used stairs. Stair way had chicken bones wings scattered about. Shower had mildew.

The personnel at the front desk were just amazing. They took the time to greet while checking in. During my stay, they were more than helpful making sure my need were met. In addition, there was a lady cleaning at the gym. She was cleaning the place like she owns it. I got the impression she really like working there.

The thing I like most is the location since it's walkable and very closed to the biggest mall in Orleans where the bus and train stations are linked. Commute is definitely a breeze and very accessible. The free breakfast is good and staff are very friendly. Ample of parking area. I would probably go back to this hotel in my future visit to Ottawa.

Property was a little hard to get to as the route was not on a main street. Hotel was nice, the breakfast was very good considering it was a buffet and the staff at breakfast were lovely. Only bad thing was that the handicapped room was at the farthest edge of the hotel away from the elevators so if you are mobility challenged , as I am, it is a fat walk to get to the room.

A bit hard to get to due to all the road construction around the property. On our first night there where a number of wild children running up and down the hallway. Someone must have lodged a complaint because the noise stopped. On the first morning on the way to breakfast, I felt very unsafe on the elevator when a young man decided to berate me loudly for not having said good morning to him when he entered the elevator. He certainly was on a power trip and his girlfriend found this very funny. He later passed by the breakfast area and again smirked at me and commented again. No guest should have to deal with such odd behaviour especially when the guest is a 77 year old senior and the conceited punk is his 20’s . The cigarette parked behind his ear said it all. Also in the breakfast area there were children openly coughing over the serving trays and the bread container. Not very appetizing .

Stayed a week. I was out every day in Ottawa. When I returned the room was done. Breakfast every morning was excellent, complimentary. Room was quiet, sheets were nice and soft. Down town was about a 20 minute drive, there was a large mall close to the hotel.

Always great staying here. Such a convenient location. Comfortable beds, good shower pressure and fairly good breakfast. Outstanding breakfast room attendants, I don’t know their names but these two ladies were both lovely and super friendly. Always busy but still taking the time to say hi to regular customers and their children. This is what makes a place go from good to great!

The breakfast buffet was not much of a buffet. We stayed for 2 nights and found the same thi by on both days. The cinnamon buns were never replenished, the eggs, hashbrown and sausage pan had nothing in it for 20 minutes before they were replaced. They have a pancake machine and it wasn’t working for at least 30 minutes on both days. We spent over an hour at the ‘buffet’ and had to leave to eat breakfast at Tim Hortons. Pretty bad service.

The rooms were spacious and clean! The Continental breakfast had a very large selection. Nicole who was working in the kitchen was very kind and hospitable! Highly recommend this place for families with small children!

Staff were all very nice. Breakfast was tasty, the cinnamon rolls especially were fresh and hot. I appreciated having the Level 2 Flo destination EV chargers on site, that was helpful. Room was clean and decent sized. I would easily stay here again the next time we are in Ottawa! Thanks for a great stay.
