Excellent facilities. Immaculately clean and fresh. Shower - sparkling! Mattress and quilt top of the range. Big screen TV. Restaurant, Bar, part of the building. (Only be aware - Pokies and Tab are part of the complex. Looking forward to book this place again!

The Mont is a fantastic place to visit for a meal, drink, play and/ or stay with so many benefits. There is free parking, dining options, a bottle shop (if you drink), public bars, dine in bistro, gaming area and a very friendly atmosphere for kids too. The staff are always so so extra nice, welcoming, friendly and kind and the food is top notch. The best part is the newly renovated rooms are so clean.

Only one detail was negative: The restaurant closes at 8 pm. When we wanted to have dinner after a long day-trip through the island, at around 8:15 pm, we were denied. It is okay when a normal restaurant does this. But a hotel restaurant, who's bar is open until midnight and who has a casino area as well should be prepared late dinners as well.

Lovely and quiet. Shower was amazing, lots of hot water. Bathroom a bit small, but functional. Would have been good if the drier in the laundry had been working. Overall great place to stay and lovely food.

Was very clean and tidy. However very noisy. Can hear everyone stomping down the hallway and banging doors. Rubbish truck every morning really early just outside my room. Room smelt like cigarettes on the last 2 nights so someone smoking right outside the room?? The hallway was really bad with the cigarette smell. Also laundry was right next to my room had a sign not to use during certain times however one night someone had something in their past midnight that had some sort of bukle on it so not only the noise of the machine but the noise of it clanging on the sides as it spun. Then the next night someone came in at 2 or 3 in the morning stomping in the hallway calling out and starting a few loads of laundry i ended up just packing up and leaving really early that morning as i clearly wasnt gonna get any more sleep. So only good thing about it was it was clean...

The Claremont was an easy place to stay. We didn't utilise the hotel bistro or breakfast but the facilities looked good. The room was basic and small but was very clean and provided tea & coffee. The bed was comfortable and the room suited our needs for the one night stay.

Not many reviews on accommodation so took a chance for a friends wedding as we heard it was recently refurbished. Rooms looked nice enough but they were just dirty. Linen clean but there is a window that you cannot close in the bathroom with brings in debris from outside as well as being noisy. Toilet was dirty on arrival and spoke to cleaners the next day. They apologised and said they would fix it. They did not. Mentioned it again the following day and they were adamant that they cleaned it. Had to show the pee stains to the cleaner which she blamed on the open window debris? Spoke to management that offered a couple of drinks. Toilet was cleaned on day 3/3. Our friends were in the room across the hall and they had no hot water and a dribble of pressure. They had to use our shower. Cleaners and Management were informed but nothing was done. Otherwise staff friendly and food great. Would never go back and honestly cannot recommend.

LET ME BEGIN BY SAYING THE STAFF WERE AMAZING! Matt went above and beyond to address one of our concerns. So this facility is very "60s" lots of wear but they have tried to keep it up... Still has physical keys for the doors and hallways NOT a key card... actual brass keys does that tell you how old it is? Our room was small, very small. supposedly that is what I paid for. The bathroom had been nicely updated, very clean but cramped. You had to be in the bedroom to open the shower door to enter the shower then close the bathroom door then the shower door! A bit laughable but again clean with good water pressure. The biggest issue was that the bathroom window upper half was louvers that could not be CLOSED! we were there in late summer but the evenings did get cool so the bathroom had a cold draft! Mat to the rescue came in with a bunch of towels and stuffed them in the gaps! good temporary fix took care of 99% of the draft but God forbid you wwere staying in the winter!!!

The room we had was very small. We had a queen size bed and one side was pushed against the wall to make room to get to the bathroom. We pulled it from the wall so we could walk around the bed. There was less than 15 inches on each side.

Disorganised. I rang to check that late check in was still ok. Yes she said. When I arrived doors were locked and after hours bell was not responded to. I found an alternative entrance eventually. Then the guy checking me in was slow, fussing around, and couldn’t find the keys to the room. He wanted me to wait whilst he looked more, but I was dead on my feet and asked if he could just allocate another room which he did. I bought a drink, 1 shot of liqueur barely a mouthful $12.50 when I was shocked at the price and said so, the bar tender was very rude. The room was tiny but very clean. Bathroom was tiny but very clean. Bed was comfortable. Prepackaged breakfast was appreciated.

Upon arriving at reception, found that they didn't have a booking for us. After some time the original documentation was found and we had been inadvertently booked in for the following night. The hotel only had one other room available, but an upgrade to the one we had booked. Thank goodness for this, otherwise don't know what we would of done. More than happy with the room that we were given at no extra cost. Bigger room, a bed each, even a breakfast to go each. The only other issue was the bathroom only had a small vanity and you were unable to place any toiletries on it and the water sprayed out when the tap was on. The seniors meal that we had in the restaurant that evening was great and good value for money.

I had such a wonderful stay! The service was absolutely amazing — so friendly and welcoming from start to finish. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the rooms were beautifully fitted out with everything we needed. The little complimentary “on-the-go” breakfast was such a thoughtful touch and came in so handy. Thank you for such a lovely experience — we’ll definitely be back!

Good cheap pub accommodation. The food at the tav was great, there's parking at the back door, the staff are really friendly. Even better after the renovations! Good value for money. I'd definitely stay again!

This was my second stay at The Mont in 6 months and it was as pleasant as the first. Comfortable room, at a great price. The porterhouse steak is still 2 thumbs up! Will stay again

Lightning in hallways and outside was inadequate. Doors were noisy and squeaky. Hot water was not hot. Toilet was freezing and bedroom became stuffy with heat pump. Needed to go to ac cycle during night to breathe. Couldn’t walk around bed without shoulder hitting tv on the wall. Both bedside lights turned off after very minimal use. Outrageous price for gravy with our meals, should have been included in the price . The schnitzel was over cooked. The veggies were under cooked and only had corn as small vegetable.

Only one detail was negative: The restaurant closes at 8 pm. When we wanted to have dinner after a long day-trip through the island, at around 8:15 pm, we were denied. It is okay when a normal restaurant does this. But a hotel restaurant, who's bar is open until midnight and who has a casino area as well should be prepared late dinners as well.
