Check in was painfully slow & drawn out, especially at night, only 1 person available. Breakfast was very poor, very little choice, description of items or allergy information. Bedroom was tired, dirty and lacked lighting. The pool area was nice atleast!

Breakfast menu and service were optimum, multiple Mexican restaurants were available within a few blocks, the walking area was pleasant and safe, the staff were most helpful and English speakers were there to assist. The white foam pool lounges in many areas were saturated with water and should have been upended over night to drain and dry - we got our travel clothes soaked when we unknowingly used them.
Breakfast menu and service were optimum, multiple Mexican restaurants were available within a few blocks, the walking area was pleasant and safe, the staff were most helpful and English speakers were there to assist. Very comfortable hotel with lots of amenities and services. I particularly liked the room, its cleanliness, the size and view over the pool area. The location is also great for day trips pick-ups and a very short walk to lively streets. I also enjoyed the fitness room, the beautiful pools with the lounge chairs. I would have liked for the breakfast to open at 6:30am rather than 7am which is when day trips start so there is barely anytime to get to breakfast if you are waiting for a bus to leave for the day. Other than that, I think this is a great value and I would definitely come back.

TLDR- Fix WiFi, add fridge. Remove ice machine, hidden charges, early am music This could very well be a 4 star hotel as they advertise with some adjustments. WiFi was barely usable even on the ground floor. We stayed several nights so it wasn’t a one time thing. The pool area and lounge chairs are lovely but as I brought up to management already there should be zero reason any music plays at 6:45am on a Wednesday when no one was in the area. Our room faced the pool and was supposedly quieter than the noisy street but I’m not sure. Ice machine very noisy and should be removed from all floors (unnecessary) and 1-2 placed on bottom floor. As others mentioned, a fridge should be added to each room and by removing the ice machines should offset much of the electrical cost. On our last night I only got 2 hours of sleep as there was flooding on our floor. I had to keep the water from entering the room but other guests not so lucky. While I did get to check out at 3 instead of noon (by asking) no credits or discount was available. I understand it’s out of their control but this, along with the “resort fee” they say is a city tax which the other 7 hotels I stayed in Cancun already had included in the Expedia booking left me with a negative experience for a hotel priced along the lines of $100 a night (after “tax”) of more well know brand name hotels in the city. If these issues addressed, then it would be 4 stars as the rooms were lovely, very clean, and the beds very comfortable.

This place was PRISTINE clean and tidy. Customer service was great and the breakfast buffet was amazing and had variety. The hotel has 2 pools both clean, towels for the pool were available. Highly recommended!!!

Hay 2 hoteles juntos con una sola entrada y recepción. Yo reservé 3 noches en El OH! pero nos dieron una habitación en el Último piso del SMART, (elevador solo llega al piso anterior) que no estuvo mal pero no tiene ventanas panorámicas y eso no me gustó y después vi precios y el Smart es más económico. Además solo el primer día hubo botellas de agua, café y amenities, Los siguientes 2 días ya no surtieron, solo jaboncito. Al llegar no nos dimos cuenta que el acomodo de habitación no era en el hotel q reservé, nos dimos cuenta hasta mucho después :-( El desayuno ya incluido de muy buena calidad, variedad de jugos, frutas, huevos, guisados, panes, café, etc. So se renta auto, tienen un amplio estacionamiento para los 2 hoteles y estos 2 hoteles están caminado muy cerca del enorme mall Plaza Las Américas. Si se va a estar paseando por tantos atractivos qué hay en la zona, es una buena opción hospedarse ahí, lejos de la playa. Aunque tiene una bonita alberca, son 2 hoteles como para estar fuera todo el día. Hay oportunidad por una cuota adicional estar en el Club de playa del enorme hotel Oasis de la zona hotelera. Si volvería a hospedarme ahí, ya qué la limpieza, el desayuno, la zona y el estacionamiento amplio los hacen muy elegibles.

Really loved this hotel as it was beautiful and the breakfast was amazing. The only thing that was bad was the wifi does not work and they said they’re having a problem with that. Other than the problem with the wifi this hotel was amazing. I had to pay for personal phone data each day to be able to use my phone but the overall hotel was amazing! If they fix the wifi problem I would come back again.

Sadly this property is deteriorating. The shower is impossible to control water temperature and it leaks horribly all over the bathroom floor. The room stinks like mold. We have stayed here in the past and we were shocked at the decline.

I paid for Oh Urban Cancun, and we got downgraded to Smart Cancun. Customer Services took more than one hour to check us in. Shower had mold all arround. Our bed sheets were dirty.

The room had a strong stench of moss / mold. I called several times to get room freshener or incense but nothing was provided. The room was not stocked with any towels, called several times and got only 1 towel after 8hrs of check-in. Front desk does not pick up the phone most of the times. You have to keep calling again and again. Parking is not available at the hotel, they tell you to park in a public space behind HSBC bank which is basically open parking for anyone. So, your vehicle may not be safe. Only plus is the pool area which is beautiful but it closes at 8pm.

This place is not worth the money. Since they get so much business, they don’t care about you. The rooms were okay. We had no bath towels for 36 hours. We had to call and go down in person 4-5 times. I literally had to finally beg the lady to give me towels. She finally got me pool towels that had been sitting outside all day. The bed sheets had stains on it as well. Random hairs in bed. Overall the lobby and pool area looks nice. But that’s about it. The rest is garbage. But if you’re looking for basic service or help from front desk, well you’re expecting too much. Might as well stay in a cheaper hotel and receive same bad service. At clean you save money and won’t have high hopes. They have the same basic response to every bad review. I am darn sure not the first one to complain about bad service, no towels, and dirty sheets. They say ours reviews will help them learn but that what they said in response to previous reviews. Obviously nothing has changed.

Swimming Pool was nice, and the people were friendly and accommodating; breakfast was ok, and the same food every morning, wish to change the variety. The bathroom smell wasn't pleasant, and the bathroom corner could be cleaned better. It was Rusty and stains, and the sink. I had to buy bug spray to spray the room, and a small rug between the two beds, need to be sanitized, was stained.

Lobby was very nice but that did not extend to the room, seemed like they renovated the Lobby but forgot to upgrade the rooms. Just felt old and dirty, only stayed one night but will more than likely not be returning

Overall experience was great. However, the room walls were really thin so it was quite noisy during sleep time. The doors for the rooms had no stoppers so they would slam and make loud banging noises every time a door is opened or closed. Happy with everything else. Would visit again.

Très bel hôtel, bien situé dans le centre ville, avec un espace piscine magnifique. Personnel bienveillant et professionnel. Petit déjeuner plutôt pauvre (pas de chocolat chaud. J'ai été obligé de quémander. Heureusement le personnel m'a trouvé une solution). Chambre (côté rue) très bruyante (mal insonorisée) et sans obscurité (rideaux peu opaques, lumière du couloir sous la porte, lumières des appareils électriques en veille). Bref impossible de dormir. Un comble pour un hôtel.

I can't recommend this hotel enough. I wish I could give more stars than I did, as this hotel was better than expected. Beautiful renovated room with lots of amenities, great pool area and huge breakfast buffet with many options. Small issue: Some confusion regarding the fact there are two hotels at this location (both same owner). On my first morning I inadvertently had breakfast at the other hotel breakfast area, which is much simpler than the Oh Cancun's complimentary buffet at the other side of the building. I only which it was made clearer. Maybe a sign and arrow at the elevator exit would help future guests not make that mistake.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Before check-in, I contacted the property and was reassured I'd be on a higher floor with a balcony. However, when I arrived, I discovered their "balcony" was just a window that opened, and apparently, the balconies were removed during renovations. To make matters worse, it seemed like some rooms still had balconies, leaving me confused about the situation. The 2nd floor was still under renovation when we arrived, which meant there was no access to ice. I was also told they had removed refrigerators from the rooms?? I had to walk to the SMART side of the hotel, wait for the elevator, and travel to the 6th floor to get ice to keep my water cool. This was terrible as there was an area in the room where a mini fridge was.One guy at pool bar was terrible-I ordered blended drinks, but the bartender served two people who came up after me. He added too much ice to my drinks, and when I asked for the rest of the drink from the blender (which had half my alcohol), I was told "no" multiple times by the bartender. I noticed he poured the leftover drink into a cup and left it on the side,( probably drank it himself). The bartender was rude !The Jacuzzis near the cabanas didn’t seem to have hot water, except in the spa area, where the jets didn’t work. The hot water in my shower would randomly turn cold during my shower regardless of setting. Netflix, YouTube, and Prime on the smart TV never worked ( poor connection) DO NOT STAY!!!!

I noticed he poured the leftover drink into a cup and left it on the side,( probably drank it himself). The bartender was rude !The Jacuzzis near the cabanas didn’t seem to have hot water, except in the spa area, where the jets didn’t work. The hot water in my shower would randomly turn cold during my shower regardless of setting. Netflix, YouTube, and Prime on the smart TV never worked ( poor connection) DO NOT STAY!!!!

TLDR- Fix WiFi, add fridge. Remove ice machine, hidden charges, early am music This could very well be a 4 star hotel as they advertise with some adjustments. WiFi was barely usable even on the ground floor. We stayed several nights so it wasn’t a one time thing. The pool area and lounge chairs are lovely but as I brought up to management already there should be zero reason any music plays at 6:45am on a Wednesday when no one was in the area. Our room faced the pool and was supposedly quieter than the noisy street but I’m not sure. Ice machine very noisy and should be removed from all floors (unnecessary) and 1-2 placed on bottom floor. As others mentioned, a fridge should be added to each room and by removing the ice machines should offset much of the electrical cost. On our last night I only got 2 hours of sleep as there was flooding on our floor. I had to keep the water from entering the room but other guests not so lucky. While I did get to check out at 3 instead of noon (by asking) no credits or discount was available. I understand it’s out of their control but this, along with the “resort fee” they say is a city tax which the other 7 hotels I stayed in Cancun already had included in the Expedia booking left me with a negative experience for a hotel priced along the lines of $100 a night (after “tax”) of more well know brand name hotels in the city. If these issues addressed, then it would be 4 stars as the rooms were lovely, very clean, and the beds very comfortable.

The pool area was great and the hotel is very clean, but the Hotels.com profile is a bit misleading. The first three pictures (with the beach and rooftop pool) labeled “miscellaneous” are the beach club that is an extra charge $30+ per day and it’s obviously at a different location, because this hotel is in central Cancun (which is a great location to be walkable to food places and mercados). The lobby area is nice, as is the gym. If you are wondering why there are two Hotels.com profiles, it’s because the second building (attached to Oh! and the same lobby) is actually called “Smart The Urban Oasis.” They put me in a room on this side (Smart The Urban Oasis) and it was not great. The furniture did not look anywhere as nice as the photos, the shower needed replacement and oscillated from hot to cold, and the bed had a singular sheet at the bedding (no blankets or comforters in the room). Also one of the outlets didn’t work and the end and middle of the hall was being renovated. There’s no refrigerator, and there was a coffee machine but no coffee. The breakfast buffet is good, but get there early or you will be waiting for a table. I want to give this hotel a good review, but my experience was not comfortable. This hotel has potential, and I can see why many people like it. I think I had a bad room on the less nice side of the hotel.

Request a room AWAY from the elevator. The walls are extremely thin and our first night was incredibly noisy. We requested a different room for our 2nd night and after a bunch of run around from numerous staff members who were unhelpful, the GM finally stepped in and miraculously found us another room in their “sold out” hotel (according to the staff). Rooms are clean, location is good. The only other issue was the pool bar which was being covered by one staff member while others stood off to the side ignoring guests (one even applying makeup). This could be a really great hotel - they would do well hiring a hospitality consultant. The staff seemed to be nice people that need some guidance. A little would go a long way.

I ended up not staying at this hotel, my original reservation. They switched me to another hotel last minute due to construction. This other hotel was very great, I was very satisfied with the switch, however, it would have been helpful to be notified of the change to make adequate changes to hotel pick-up and drop offs with time. Since I was switched, and I didn't know about it till I got to the hotel. I was rescheduling all of my pickups last minute. For my last pick up, I had to pay for a taxi to take me back to the originally booked hotel, they couldn't pick me -up at the new location and I was very dissatisfied with that.

Disastrous start- queued for over an hour to get checked in at 10.30pm then was not given the room type i had booked and paid for. Booked Oh! room with King bed, fridge and espresso machine, was put in the Smart hotel without all 3. I complained but they just lied saying all rooms are the same and they don't have king beds or fridges anymore in any room. So poor and completely untrue receptionist tried to blame expedia when their own website says what the rooms include. So wrong to do this, especially to returning customer, but at almost midnight there was nothing i could do apart from register my complaint as there were no other rooms available. The additional $140 peso per night for environment fee seemed excessive. Got much better - the next morning they brought a fridge to the room and eventually a coffee machine, so I decided that as i was travelling solo and on the top floor, i would stay in that room. The room was large, comfortable and very quiet which was important to me and had good view over to the coast. The pool area is just incredible, heaps of loungers and cabanas, the included breakfast plentiful, the gym had been upgraded. The food/drinks at the white terrace are very nice and really good value. The hotel is easy walk to 2 cheduari, the bus to hotel zone, 15 mins to ado bus. I do enjoy staying at this hotel - check in experience aside but i think they are wrong to lie to their customers and put them in lesser rooms and not expect to rectify it.

It's not too far from ADO bus station. If you don't have a car, it is easy to take public transportation to the hotel zone or other places such as Playa del Carmen. It takes only about 15-minute walk to the ADO bus station or take a uber there (less than $2). It is also close to Parque La Palapas, where the night market is located.

It is a well located, quiet hotel with a great pool, plenty of lounge chairs, and only a 15-20 min drive from the airport without traffic. The free breakfast has plenty of Mexican and North American dishes to choose from. Grocery stores, restaurants and public transport are easily accessed out front and around the corner. There are 2 beachfront sister hotels to go to for the day, for a small fee, if you don't want to stay at the hotel pool. If we go to Cancun again, we would stay again if we had an early morning flight.

Check in was painfully slow & drawn out, especially at night, only 1 person available. Breakfast was very poor, very little choice, description of items or allergy information. Bedroom was tired, dirty and lacked lighting. The pool area was nice atleast!

The room was dirty when we checked in. There was almost no water pressure in the shower, and what little water did come out constantly fluctuated between freezing cold and scalding hot, making the shower experience absolutely terrible. The breakfast was very mediocre. We only stayed for one night, and even that felt like a waste of time. I do not recommend staying here at all

This place was PRISTINE clean and tidy. Customer service was great and the breakfast buffet was amazing and had variety. The hotel has 2 pools both clean, towels for the pool were available. Highly recommended!!!

2nd time staying here, great value and location, love the pool area, breakfast always decent. Filimon great as ever in the pool bar, always hard working and looking aftwr everyone. Couple of points: more hot breakfast items for vegetarians (why put chorizo in the beans?) and better labelling at the buffet. Also, our room had a huge TV area/coffee station with filter pot and pod machine….but nowhere to plug them in? We had to move it all 😂
