Great location, food across the street nice clean and modern building and room, had to park in a local public carpark a street away then onto the road but street parking is free on the weekends. The bed was super uncomfortable and had a big dip in the middle of both sides and definitely needed upgrading but only stayed for 1 night. buffet breakfast was nice, not a massive selection but enough choices to satisfy.

The parking is atrocious as it is open to the public. I witnessed other customers complaining about parking too. When you pay so much for your room there needs to be a parking space available as we have luggage to bring in & need access to our cars instead of parking down the road. Also paying $35 a head for breaky is very expensive when you have teenage grandchildren & there was not a lot of options!

Had a 4 night stay. Staff were amazing. They emptied our bins, made our beds provided fresh towels daily. Our room had a bar fridge full with mini bar beverages so there was no room for anything else sadly. :( We also noticed there wasn't an area to do laundry so it was slightly inconvenient for us. A microwave would have been awesome should definitely condsider putting one in the rooms. Apart from those minor things we had an enjoyable stay. Thankyou (:

Great stay! Very convenient location. Amenities are all good quality and clean. Lap pool and limited loungers. No shade at poolside and pool gets shaded early. Pool and common areas are maintained well. Overall very happy with stay and service. Stay safe were great and helpful.

We love the beds. You get the best nights sleep at Rydges. The only downside is that the left hand lift is continually out of order. This leaves just one lift to service a big hotel.

This is an excellent place to stay for any event at the Brisbane Show Grounds. The beds were very comfortable and the sound suppression excellent. All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. We ate in both restaurants and enjoyed the different ambiance of both and the food was great in both places. We also enjoyed a barista coffee on Sunday morning which was perfect. Keep in mind that parking is $30 a night and if there is an event on you may need to use a parking station away from the hotel. We didn’t mind that as at least the car was secure and not out on a back street.

The swimming pool was closed for maintenance while we were there which was upsetting as it was the main reason we booked. Room service finished at 8:30 which is very early (good hotels have 24/7 or at least midnight) and the options were minimal and not child friendly. The room was comfortable and clean but wish it had a bath. Breakfast buffet was a bit gross. The eggs were soggy one day and green the next, mushrooms were swimming in water, bacon and sausages very dry and the machine coffee tasted better than the barista coffee. The staff were all very lovely but could have offered to help me with my bags. Overall I think the hotel has a lot of potential but a lot of improvements can be made.

Sheets were stained and not fitted to the bed properly, and an open bottle of sparkling water was in the fridge. Given this was a $300+ a night room without breakfast, and our family have stayed at this property about twice a year since it opened it was overall disappointing.

We had a great experience staying at Rydges Fortitude Valley. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, which made a real difference to our stay. We were in town for an expo at the Showgrounds, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient—just a short walk away. Parking was straightforward and stress-free, which is always appreciated. Our room was spotless, including the bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything felt clean, modern, and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again next time we're in Brisbane for an event!

We were kindly upgraded for our anniversary. The room was overlooking the RNA show grounds. The bed was comfy and room was nice. Pool was at a nice temp, but quite a lot smaller than it looked in photos. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get any sleep until 1am - the restaurants/bars below were blasting music. Staff offered us complimentary breakfast to make up for this.

Great location. Close to cafes, restaurants, Tivoli Theatre, Exhibition Grounds and RBWH. We had a quiet room. Never heard another person when we were in our room. Our room was large compared to many others in big cities we’ve stayed in, close to lift and bathroom had everything that was needed.

The room was incredibly hot. I turned the aircon on to the lowest temperature and after half an hour the room was still hot. I left the room for it to a chill a bit before coming back at night and it was still hot. I reported the issue to concierge, but apart from using a temperature gun aimed at the air vent, did nothing to rectify the issue. This made for an uncomfortable valentines with my partner as it was too hot to go under the blankets. Giving 2 stars because breakfast was fantastic.

Whenever I visit town, Rydges is always my first choice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bedding and pillows are excellent, and the location is fantastic. The front desk staff were absolutely wonderful — polite, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, this stay was a little disappointing. I was given an accessible room that wasn’t suited to my needs, and I didn’t want to take a room that someone else might genuinely need. I wasn't aware I had this room until I got into the room, and it wasn't what I had booked. I politely raised this with reception, and they advised the duty manager would contact me — but after waiting over an hour, no one did. When I followed up, the duty manager blamed the front staff instead of taking responsibility. After travelling interstate, I was tired and just wanted to settle in. The lack of communication was the real disappointment, and the shower pressure in the room was also quite poor. What made it more frustrating is that this stay cost almost double what I’ve paid in the past, yet I still chose Rydges because of how much I usually enjoy staying here. I travel often and have always had great experiences, so I hope this was just a one-off and not the new norm. Might consider staying elsewhere in the future.

I was charged for the item from the minibar even though I declared at checkout to the reception guy that I hadn't consumed anything from minibar. But I have got still charged. Then accounts send me an invoice which I told them it's not correct and they should have not charge my credit card prior to informing me. Not a fair business practice. I haven't received a response from the accounts team regarding this disputed charge till now. It seems the minibar attendant may have mixed up my room with another as the room number does not match the invoice. The housekeeping team was not aware of which rooms are checked out, so I believe both teams need additional training. Specifically, the minibar attendant should be more careful in reporting, as I should not have been charged for items I did not consume.

Hotel is in a good location, however what let it down is its customer service. Upon check-in we were told that we would get drink vouchers. After 15 minutes of waiting, we were told someone would bring them to our room. 2 days later we are still waiting Then in addition, we were out all afternoon and evening and come in at 12 o’clock at night and our room has still not been cleaned. Wet towels on the floor bed not made bins not empty. When we contacted reception at midnight twice to clean rooms, the response was yes and when we asked why house are not been clean no explanation was given. The morning at 11:15 which admitting late is 15 minutes after checkout we had a knock on the door from somebody it looked like they just come off the street to clear the rooms. When we caught the lift to go down Kurt in hospitality to make the guest get the lift first before the employee. This employee just pushed in front and got in the lift first. We will not be back.

Check in was not a welcoming experience and the staff member struggled to look at me or provide me with clear information about my stay or parking. I felt like an inconvenience when I arrived. Fortunately staff at the restaurants were kind and more than happy to help and made our evening drinks and breakfast the next morning enjoyable.

Lovely hotel, close to restaurants and shops. Very good in house bar and restaurant should one feel like enjoying the hotel. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and include a well stocked mini bar. Would highly recommend this hotel which is also fortunate to have professional, helpful and very friendly staff.

During Check in, i informed the concierge my registration number of car in car park. i paid for the car park fee on check out. leaving the car park we weren't allowed to exit, because the wrong registration number was written down. Whenever I visit town, Rydges is always my first choice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bedding and pillows are excellent, and the location is fantastic. The front desk staff were absolutely wonderful — polite, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, this stay was a little disappointing. I was given an accessible room that wasn’t suited to my needs, and I didn’t want to take a room that someone else might genuinely need. I wasn't aware I had this room until I got into the room, and it wasn't what I had booked. I politely raised this with reception, and they advised the duty manager would contact me — but after waiting over an hour, no one did. When I followed up, the duty manager blamed the front staff instead of taking responsibility. After travelling interstate, I was tired and just wanted to settle in. The lack of communication was the real disappointment, and the shower pressure in the room was also quite poor. What made it more frustrating is that this stay cost almost double what I’ve paid in the past, yet I still chose Rydges because of how much I usually enjoy staying here. I travel often and have always had great experiences, so I hope this was just a one-off and not the new norm. Might consider staying elsewhere in the future.

Great location for concert at nearby Tivoli . Near agricultural showgrounds. Bar in hotel , good restaurants down the road. Lovely comfy bed and space in room. Huge tv , good bathroom. Would stay again.

Rydges was close to the RBWH hospital where I had an appointment which I could walk to within 10 minutes. Restaurants were also close by and access to Roma Street station was just a 10 minute taxi ride. The staff were very helpful. Overall a good experience.

If you are looking for accommodation close to Brisbane Showgrounds this is the Hotel for you. Good clean rooms modern Hotel with good dining options. Hotel Team are professional, friendly and courteous. Breakfast in restaurant is very clean with a great variety of fresh foods on offer. Hotel will be even closer to transport once the new Station opens 200mtrs away. Recommend this Hotel.

Room great if only using to sleep in bed was comfortable. Had buffet breakfast for both days that stayed plenty to choose from on buffet but found the food wasn’t really hot both days I ate and on the second day didn’t even see anyone checking the hot food to see if there was anything that needed to be topped up even if was only a small amount to get through the next hour or so

The location was perfect for us, visiting to see a concert at The Tivoli, restaurants and venue a short stroll away. The hotel was exceptional and the buffet breakfast excellent value. We’ll be back.

Property is in a great location and very well kept, what we found disappointing was the free drink vouchers we were told after redeeming one for a glass of wine that when we tried to use the second one was told this is not available for wi e that we just had, this was finally resolved by the manager however other visitors were also having the same challenges as us with the same Waitress, very disappointing experience given it was just all over cheap glass of wine….

Check in and front desk staff were friendly. The bed was really uncomfortable. I’d paid $42 for buffet breakfast. This was hands down the worst buffet I’ve ever had, the food was cold and dry with barely any options. Don’t waist your money on this, it was pathetic! I got a coffee from the button push machine which was lukewarm, so I asked the bar manager if I could have a real coffee. The man was rude! with zero regard for customer satisfaction, his people skills and customer service was a joke. Yes I’m talking about you the asian bar manager. He wanted to change me for a real coffee. The only thing that made me feel a bit better about my stay was the lovely asian girl, when I checked out. She asked me about my stay and I was honest. She was super friendly and asked me if I’d like a free coffee of my liking before I left. This hotel needs more people like her, and less of the bar and restaurant staff. I will be avoiding the Rydges fortitude valley by a mile next time I go to Brisbane, and I suggest you do the same.

Great location, super breakfast with lovely staff who were very attentive and welcoming a complete change from the concierge front desk who were not welcoming or friendly at all. It felt like they did not want us there. If not for that it would have been a hotel I would go back too, however I would try elsewhere now.

Pre-ordered brekky is a bit expensive at $45pp... and accordingly HUGE. Would prefer an in room pre order for something smaller as I could have easily fed two people with that one meal.
