Motel One Amsterdam

The blonde girl staff on duty exhibited a level of service that I found to be highly unprofessional and disrespectful. During our interaction, she was dismissive and lacked the basic courtesy expected in the hospitality industry. ​Specifically, her attitude made me feel unwelcome, and she showed a clear lack of effort in addressing my needs as a guest. This type of behavior is unacceptable for a hotel of your standing and significantly impacted my stay. This was the worst check-in experience.

While on the whole the hotel is clean and functional and staff are friendly, there are a number of factors which I feel justify a lower rating: - rooms are clean but lacking fundamentals. This is a c€200 per night hotel in Amsterdam's CBD, to not have irons in the room is lacking of the facilities I would expect of this price bracket. While an iron can be requested at reception, the device I was given was basically unusable. - breakfast is something of a free-for-all with an eating area which is *massively* undersized for the volume of guests in the hotel. This is not 'vibey' or 'buzzy', it's chaotic and the last thing you want at 0730. - my room was a comfortable temperature but this came at the expense of an extremely loud AC unit.

Hotel was going through some upgrades but with little disruption.Position of hotel great to travel links for getting around Amsterdam and was perfect for our needs.
