Fantastic stay and couldn’t recommend it more. All staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The food was seriously good and the pub cosy. Perfect for an evening next to an open fire.

Lovely hotel, lovely friendly welcome and excellent food. Great location and nice courtyard in the back. The room was lovely and clean albeit a little hot (being right at the top with just a small window). Very powerful shower and comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again. Not a bad price for this area.

Nice stay very very warm in the rooms. If it’s a quiet room you are after this isn’t the place when you are on the beer garden side. A nice problem to have in summer!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Woodstock Arms! The room was comfortable, stylish and quiet and the food, both at dinner and breakfast, was excellent! The service throughout was great - friendly, helpful and welcoming! There were a few organisational issues, caused by recent management changes, but they did nothing to spoil a really lovely visit!

The service and food were excellent, the Staff very welcoming and the bar had a lovely friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately the room was disappointing. Too many minor issues adversely impacted our stay. There was no bed remaking, replenishment of tea making items or crockery on 2nd day. En-suite needs attention.

Nice looking place inside, very dark and smelly walk way leading to the stairs to the rooms. Room was Just ok at a push. Stained carpets, no shower door with mould, shower gel dispensers empty. Tea and coffee poor selection and no milk. Breakfast served from 9am in the week. Not great.

Other reviewers have mentioned room number 5, which is where I stayed. It’s in the attic. The room was very clean but hot to the point of being unbearable. There was a very inadequate portable air conditioner. With temperatures in the high 20s it’s really important to invest in good appliances and the air conditioner did nothing to lower the room temperature. The fridge was empty, no water supplied until a member of staff came up to sort a minor problem with the shower and a bottle of water and ice was brought up when he realised how hot the room was. The shower attachment was loose so the water sprayed out and the taps in the sink were loose. Not a great experience overall.

Despite a warm and polite welcome and a pleasant/compact room for a single person, the Woodstock Arms is not suitable for the business traveller. Breakfast isn't available until 9 and there are no alternatives offered, there are coat hooks but no hangars for shirts and suits etc, I had to clean the coffee cups and the teaspoon which appeared to have dried food on it. No TV remote control in the room but a second visit to ask at the bar yielded a replacement. There was considerable noise from the bar until around 1115 pm which is understandable but once again, not suitable for someone who has to get up early for work.

We stayed for just one night to visit Blenheim Palace which is an easy walk from the hotel. Comfortable room with good linen and bed etc. Staff really friendly and efficient. Food available was well prepared and tasty and there was plenty of choice. Breakfast was fresh and well presented. Would stay again

Room was in the eaves of the roof. Extremely steep steps with poor headroom. The room & bathroom also was very small with poor headroom. The restaurant was lovely with great food. If there was a nicer more spacious room I would stay again, but not in the room I was in.

We were unfortunately given room 5 which was a room in the eaves. It was a hot day and the combination of heat and ceiling height made the room feel very claustrophobic and uncomfortable. Basic, uncomfortable and cramped!

The Woodstock arms is a warm and welcoming pub. The room was cramped with al Most no space at all to unpack a smallł case. But we managed. The bed was comfortable. Shower not great. The room could do with a paint job and the shower took a long time to get warm. Tea making facilities were good. Breakfast is fine if you’re a meat and eggs eater. There is almost nothing on the menu for those who might like cereal, yogurt, fruit. Staff Were friendly and helpful. Altogether a happy stay in a very nice small town.

Extremely disappointed with our stay due to excessive noise, had to phone dosn after midnight asking it to stop, not a good idea of staff holding a party whilst you have paying guests staying. Particularly chose separate rooms so as to get a good night sleep which we certainty didn't get.

For the price wasn’t worth it the room I had was so small like match box and the view was of the pub garden noise smell from the kitchen, but the staff were lovely .

I would really recommend this pub for your stay in Oxford. The room I had was decent and the food i ate both in the evening (it has a predominant seafood menu with specials) and breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even when they were busy.

There was considerable noise from the bar until around 1115 pm which is understandable but once again, not suitable for someone who has to get up early for work.

We stayed for just one night to visit Blenheim Palace which is an easy walk from the hotel. Comfortable room with good linen and bed etc. Staff really friendly and efficient. Food available was well prepared and tasty and there was plenty of choice. Breakfast was fresh and well presented. Would stay again

Staff are very friendly and helpful; Location is perfect for visiting Blenheim Palace; Restaurant serves good food and wine. Parking is an issue here.

Awful for a business trip. My room was right above the bar and it was so noisy. Was tempted to book as it offered a free breakfast only to find (on arrival) it was only available from 9am. What is the point?! Lesson learned.

Had to miss breakfast which was not available until 9am,which seemed late? And on leaving was unable to get out through the pub because it was locked!!!! And had to find our way out through a back alley.
