The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were exactly what we needed for our trip with kids and grandparents. The only negative thing was the hottub on the roof was not working and the water was not clean so we couldn't use it.

The room was clean except for the couch. I dropped my earring and when I lifted up cushion there was blood stains on th back. I didn't see that until Sunday when I was checking out. The main reason I chose this property besides the location was that it had a hot tub. Well, I went to use Sunday morning and it wasn't working. I called front desk and she said it probably wasn't and that maintenance wouldn't be there until 10. Checkout was at 11. So I the main reason I came to the hotel was futile. Location is excellent and close to many bars, restaurants and shipping. But not the classy vive I was looking for. It looks like more for young people, not a middle age woman wanting to celebrate her b-day with class. The no hot tub ruined all good experiences I had. I am very disappointed.

I've stayed at this location for work a few times. If you need a clean, less expensive room in Ballston/Arlington, this is your best bet. It is not a traditional hotel. So if you want fresh towels every day, a hotel restaurant and bar, feel free to pay $200 more per day down the street. A bar or restaurant isn't really necessary anyway, since you are within a short walk to about 30 options in Ballston. What you will get is what amounts to an apartment. Each unit has a full kitchen. It also has a washer/dryer. I was able to wash my clothes before I left, which was a huge convince. They also have a rather elaborate workout area, complete with treadmills, elliptical machines, kettle bells, free weights and even a bench. They also have a nice lobby area, and a pretty sizable market where you can buy water and other options at any time of the day with a credit card. Oh, the staff is great! Be warned. The lower part of the building is student housing for a local university, so you will encounter 20-somethings, and possibly deal with noise on the weekends. Really, I only have two complaints. They require you to fill out a bunch of info and scan a photo id before you arrive, which was mildly annoying considering they ask for your ID at the front desk. My only other complaint was that they didn't have cleaning supplies for residents to clean up for themselves, which would be nice since service is not everyday. That honestly is about as minor a complaint as you can get.

Staff was very supportive and friendly as well as responsive to our requests for additional needed items (extra toilet paper, Kleenex, extra towels, a replacement ironing board). This place, and the surrounding area, is very nice. Bonus points for being conveniently located within walking distance of the Ballston/MU Metro station, upscale restaurants and a nearby grocery store. Fitness room is in need of a refresh; various pieces of workout equipment were functional but in need maintenance or repair. Word of caution: Your only parking option as a guest is to pay $30/night for the parking deck under the hotel. Surface parking in this area is highly restricted/routinely enforced with aggressive vehicle towing. Don’t make the mistake of parking on the nearby streets, as your vehicle will be towed (ours was, which required a $190 fee to the towing contractor).

Check in was super easy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The amenities were amazing, I LOVED the rooftop it was a whole vibe. The room was clean and set up really nice. Short drive to DC and the national harbor. Definitely plan to stay there again

The gentleman at the front desk was lovely, but I got sent to a room that was dirty. Then I came back down. They gave me another room. The blinds were wonky and the Internet didn’t work so it was a bit of a challenging evening.

Ill get straight to the point. The first day, everything was great...location, the 13th floor, space amenities....but then...night came, and when i went to turn on the bathroom light i was met with a huge cockroach crawling up the shower wall. Mind you I was raised in the city, but this was unacceptable.The cockroach creeped me out, being that there couldve been more. So i left that night, knowing that the only thing the front desk could do is offer me another room. I was so disappointed. If youre okay with night crawlers when the sun goes down, go for it...but if hygiene and sanitation matters to you, then avoid it. P.s. the giy at the front was really.cool, but i shouldve known something was up when he said, "if you dont like your room, when can move you". Yeah.

My stay was great! Besides a dead roach coming out of the yellow blanket in the closet and housekeeping came by twice BEFORE checkout. We know what time it was, they came by at 7:30AM AND 10:38AM. Which is super annoying bc we were sleeping. Checkout isn’t until 11. Why are they knocking on the doors at 7:30? We had a 3.5hr drive and been up since the first housekeeper came by which sucks for us!

I was located on the 10th floor the hallway weren't clean, the apartment i was in had a musky smell to it and when brought to the front desk i was told someone would be up but noone came for that particular issue although they had someone mopping the lobby area and smelled wonderful. I inquired can he come mop my apartment and was told no they only work in several areas...i.e my apartment hadn't been cleaned properly!! Unacceptable!!! I had to ask for washcloths because had none, there were dirty used dishes weren't washed just put back as if, toilet ran after flushing once, now that was dealt with...Need to take pride in all of your room if going to rent them. Prior to letting cleaning staff go home each toom needs to be checked for cleanliness inside and out!!!! Very disappointed.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed! Our one bedroom unit felt like a personal apartment, with incredible views from the 14th floor and quiet and private rooms. We enjoyed having a full kitchen and private washer/dryer in the unit. Walking to/from the Ballston metro was easy and safe, even at night. Would highly recommend!

Great hotel with everything you would need. New renovated apartment, kitchen has everything you need. Washer and dryer was a bonus. Quiet and spacious. Only small thing is the living area didn’t have a main light, only a lamp. Overall a great stay.

The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Upon arriving at 6pm, our apartment wasn’t ready due to a corporate event, delaying check-in until 7pm despite the 4pm check-in time, which was a bit frustrating. The front desk team was sincerely apologetic and provided some thoughtful goodies, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return.

frustration and disappointment with the lack of assistance I received during my recent stay. On the night of May 17 at approximately 10:30 PM, I contacted the front desk to report that the dryer in my room was not functioning. I had already completed my laundry and needed to dry my clothes in preparation for work early the next morning at 6:00 AM. Despite explaining the urgency of the situation, I was informed that there was nothing that could be done and that maintenance would not be available until the morning—at which point I would already be checking out. This response was not only unhelpful but entirely unacceptable, especially considering that I was aware there were other rooms available on the property. I suggested being allowed access to a dryer in one of these rooms simply to resolve the issue, yet this reasonable request was denied without any attempt to find an alternative solution. This situation reflects a serious lack of problem-solving and customer service training. As a paying guest, I expected a minimum standard of support, particularly for such a basic amenity that directly impacted my ability to prepare for work. Due to the complete lack of resolution and disregard for my circumstances, I will be disputing the charges for this stay with my credit card company. I am extremely disappointed by the way this matter was handled and hope that this feedback is taken seriously so no other guest has to experience the same.

In an ideal situaton this hotel is 3.8-4.5. The first night and following day I was there they lost electricity and water offering no type of reimbursement, not even a sorry.

Stayed with my family for a weekend trip to DC, had a hard time finding a place to stay that is dog friendly and nice. Glad we choose this apartment. Really spacious, 10 minute drive to dc monuments, walking distance from restaurants and area felt safe. Parking was an extra fee but it is in the same building. Really nice staff, will definitely come back.

This was my 2nd time here...just for a change in scenery and relaxation. The property is always clean and smells so good! The staff is amazing! They're professional, accommodating and kind. If you need anything, they don't mind assisting and if they do, I'd never know! I love coming here, whether for work or pleasure. They have just about everything you need. I'd highly advise Instacart/Door Dash for snacks/beverages. The pantry is convenient, but PRICEY.

I absolutely loved my stay, to the point where I ended up cancelling my flight to stay at Placemakr for a few more days. The surrounding area is very lively and quite walkable — I never had an issue finding something to eat. There’s also a Target down the street, and a Starbucks next door! The building and amenities are well-kept: I unfortunately never had the time to use the (very large) gym, common spaces, convenience store (yes, they have a small Amazon Market on the ground floor) or hot tub, BUT I did a quick tour, and man, it was beautiful. Two annoyances: even though there’s a parking garage, you have to pay $25.00/night for it. There is street parking, but it’s metered and it’s for a max of 2 hours (there’s limited spots in the back that’s free after 6pm: good luck). Secondly, I had to ask multiple times throughout my stay for extra towels and toilet paper; no one ever came up to give them to me. Evidently, next time I’m in the DMV, I’m staying at this same location. Very safe. 9/10

All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was convenient and it was great to have a small kitchen available. With the restaurants and metro close by, we didn't have to use our car.
