Stayed 2 nights

Stayed last year and enjoyed it so much we decided to come again this year. Very disappointed! We arrived and were shown to our room by a very polite young barmaid. Once in the room I had to go down to the bar to ask for towels and to report a broken toilet seat. We were told there was no food available on Mondays so had to go elsewhere to eat, came back to find the place shuts at 9pm. Went back to our room and realised we had run out of toilet paper (half a roll for 2 night stay). I went downstairs to find the place was locked up and nobody was about. Luckily I found the cleaners cupboard was unlocked so I helped myself to toilet roll. Next morning we went down for breakfast at 08.30 to find out that only serials and hot drinks were available but not until 09.00 so went without. After a day out we returned and asked for a menu for dinner. We were given a menu but after the young lady explained what wasn’t available we had a choice of pie, curry or beetroot wellington. Over all the stay was bad. The room was generally dirty with bits of window hanging off. If there was a fire we would have been in trouble as the fire doors were wedged open.

Stayed 1 night

Decent hotel, comfy bed, room a bit small, but only for 1 night. No water in room, also one of the packets of biscuits had been opened and 1 taken, so possibly not checked as thoroughly as could have been. Bar and restaurant part not busy so decided to eat elsewhere. Overall a good stay
