I finally got the chance to visit a long time dream of mine-Cornwall! And that certainly included Port Isaac which is how I was fortunate enough to have found Richard and The Blacksmith Shop. Just a short drive for the center of Port Isaac made place ideal, but close enough to experience P.I. and its incredible beauty. The place was very clean, and had all the necessary features for a comfortable stay but the biggest plus was Richards knowledge of the area (family has owned this property for over 300 years!) so he was a valuable resource for all the "ends and outs" for days trips and places to see. He and family live next door so it is very reassuring to know if you have any issues. One thing I will mention is that the loft bedroom ceiling is indeed low BUT it is manageable and should in no way effect your stay! Thanks for everything! My wife and I stayed for six nights at this lovely, historic and very comfortable venue. We are avid hikers, and It is perfectly located to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. The cottage has virtually every facility needed for a fabulous stay.

A great place to stay. It has everything you need for a couple. Close to Port Gaverne and Port Issac. The hotel and Pilchards Tapas bar in Port Gaverne serve fabulous food. As mentioned on the Vrbo website, the upstairs is small and not suitable for the elderly with poor mobility (although we are in our 70's and managed really well) as narrow staircase access, low headroom and a beam across the room as you get into bed. Would highly recommend the Blacksmith's shop. Richard the owner was really helpful.

Fantastic old cottage, super-modern inside. All amenities (washing machine & dish washer etc) and a great garden. About 15-mins walk to the village of Port Issac - best to walk on pavement along the road, rather than overgrown foot-path. Many pubs, fish & chip shop & restaurants!
