Bridgeview Hotel Willoughby

Very convenient for our needs this weekend and my car was safe parked out the back. Thanks for a great weekend.

Rating: ★★★☆☆ We booked a room with two separate beds through Expedia, but when we arrived, we were told that such an option didn’t actually exist at the hotel. Instead, we were given a room with one shared bed, as it was the only available option in our price range. Also, keep in mind that the shower and toilet are shared and located in the hallway, which might be inconvenient for some guests. Pros: ✔ Very comfortable mattress—we slept really well. ✔ Excellent on-site restaurant: you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner without needing to go elsewhere. ✔ Friendly staff, though you might have to wait a bit before someone shows up at the front desk. Cons: ✖ Misleading booking information—double-check before reserving. ✖ Shared facilities on the floor. Overall, if you’re okay with these minor inconveniences, it’s a decent budget-friendly option with great food and a comfortable bed.

Far to many stairs my wife and myself are disabled and found it very hard to climb the very steep stairs there for we changed our accomadation the next night .would have been a good idea to tell people about the stairs.

Great place for the price, lovely building in a convenient suburb. Parking at the rear and felt safe and family friendly (although it is a pub downstairs).

An enjoyable stay. I loved the stain glass windows. The good at the bistro was fab. It would be good to fix up the exterior parts of the hotel because it is a great place.

Also when we went to shower the head of the shower was on the floor and the tv remote had flat batteries and we had to climb onto the table to turn the tv on and off. Both myself and companion are seniors.

Although some of the hotel had been renovated the shared bathroom was tired and needed an overhaul. Attention to windows, frames and blinds required.

Very clean. Bathroom and kitchen were always clean. Transport right outside the door. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is good value for the price. Bed is very comfortable. Linen is crisp and clean. Bathrooms clean. Nicely and simply furnished. I requested a quiet room. It was quiet from traffic. It overlooked the rear of the building - tress and elevated outlook over suburb. There is a courtyard outside the window and it got rowdy during the evenings. As I was jet lagged, I fell asleep very early (7pm). But I do believe the noise ended by midnight. Pleasant stay on a budget. Nice character features and pub/bistro downstairs is warm and comfortable. Didn’t eat on site. On site open air parking behind the building. Good value. Carpets could’ve been cleaner. I’m good condition, but needed a vacuum. Otherwise facilities were clean.

45 Steps to reach my room, I am 77 and was not told of this prior to booking, in 7 days my room was not touched except the 6th day the bin was emptied, the photo on their website is misleading. I had to step into a bath to have a shower, not good for my age group.

The staff were very friendly and approachable. The room however was not what we were expecting from photos. It looked a lot like a hostel when we expected a hotel. We also must have misread that there was a bathroom as there was only a shared bathroom. The bathroom on our floor was a bit unappealing but the one on the floor above was very nice. Overall not what we were expecting but at least the staff were nice.

Everyone was very helpful and courteous. There was an aweful smell in the corridor o the top floor - I dont know if it was old plumbing, carpet was soiled orgeneral collection of human odours. During the day cigarette smell came into the dining and accomm areas.

Room had no windows or bar fridge. Outdoor smoking area with music blasting was outside my bedroom. Dodgy Aircon. Would not recommend!!!!!!

I didn’t even get to stay in it because the key to my room didn’t work.

Staff in the dining bar were absolutely lovely and so helpful. The food was delicious. Only complaint is the hallways to the rooms echo so much, you can hear every door open and close and every move made in the kitchen.

The staff at this pub are just wonderful, cannot do enough for you. The food was really good too, as was the convenience of going to the bar for a drink. Pretty good and recommended!

I’m a bit disappointed with my experience here. I had hoped this would become my go-to place whenever I’m working in Willoughby, but my most recent stay was not as good as the previous ones. During my first stay, I asked the manager what benefits regular guests might receive, as I often have long shifts in Willoughby. The manager told me that for regulars, the process was simple: book your stay, check in, and they’d waive the bond. I thought that sounded great, and during my second stay, the bond was indeed waived. However, on my recent stay, I was charged the bond, which was frustrating. The manager I dealt with this time was not as friendly or accommodating as the previous ones. What really bothered me, though, was that the day after checking out, I received a phone call asking me to prove that I had paid for my accommodation. Considering the payment was processed before I even received my key and was handled by the same person who called me, this seemed unnecessary and unprofessional. I had to send over a bank statement to confirm payment, which I didn’t think should be my responsibility. I also sent an email expressing my dissatisfaction, but I never received a response—no apology, no acknowledgment, not even a “thank you for your feedback.” The manager I dealt with was named Mark, and I’m genuinely disappointed by the lack of follow-up or courtesy. The rooms are not the best, aircon doesn’t work amazing but I thought I can live with that if I’m looked after, unfortun

La propiedad a pesar de ser una propiedad de mucho años de encuentra en muy buena condición pero lo mejor de todo sin duda es el trato del personal q te hacen sentir como un gran grupo de amigos sin contar de la cocina q es una de las mejores q e probado desde mi llegada a Australia..q tan bueno será q el próximo viernes voy de regreso jajaja muy recomendado 👍

Great location to Sydney judt walk across the street and catch the 120 bus every few minutes
