As always, scrupulously clean room, quiet and empty gym, friendly staff. And underground parking.

The back door was out of order.

Squeaky clean. We stayed 1 night on a stat weekend and it was quiet, parking was great, staff were great. Breakfast room was well stocked with a wide variety of choices. Checked out the mini gym, I did not use it this time but will in future. Definitely a great place to stay!

The hotel was very clean, and our family loved the pool area. The underground parking was a very nice option in the winter. The breakfast was also excellent. We will definitely return!

The pool was great for kids, the perfect depth and the slide was fast and lots of fun! Little bit sketchy leaving your vehicle outside but they do offer underground parking for 1 vehicle per room. If you're standing outside you might get bothered by the homeless population, there's quite a few drug addicts walking around in a state of psychosis or extreme inebriation. But the hotel itself was quite nice, staff was friendly and breakfast was good

Our stay was great the service was on real good. Over all the breakfast was good the only thing was the pool was cold and for a packed place with families with children it was empty. I know why the water is cold we went to a public pool because my boys love to play in the pool.

We had a great stay, and the service was top-notch! However, the hot tub jets were a bit disappointing. Otherwise, we were very happy.

Excellent breakfast, lots of choices including a hot breakfast, and ample sitting space. Quiet and clean, and appreciate the vinyl plank floors in rooms (versus the usual rugs - not very clean). Enjoyed the pool, slide, and hot tub. One slight challenge, some trouble with finding a parking spot when hotel is full.

Updated, comfy bed and large rooms. Great breakfast selections. Loved the pool area with hot tub a a water slide!

The pool water can be warmer

Yes room was clean staff kind soft spoken hard to hear amenities were great breakfast was good there was a bad odor when I opened bathroom door like a sewer problem smelled like somebody had had a very stinky bowel movement didn’t seem to be anywhere other then bathroom so kept door closed was very strong smelling eg hen door opened just an fyi otherwise very comfortable quiet and comfy

Cleanliness is very important to me, and the hotel was spotless. You can tell it is a newer hotel with staff that do a very good job. My room was very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. Will be staying again!

Well-located on 8th st for easy access to travel around the city. Generally quiet room but attention to detail was lacking in cleanliness (no one wants to see remnants of a previous guest's body fluids. period.). Glad to stay for just one night.

This is my return stay. Again the hotel is very clean, convenient, and quiet. Good location going anywhere in the city. Shopping is easy to access all the stores around the premises. Staff are friendly and helpful and agreeable to the services. Foods at breakfast are assorted for choosing. Very great stay. Will come again next time.

Very nice hotel. Cleaning staff didn’t fully clean the room

I had a problem with the housekeeping process. I had to complain 4 times for the bed sheet to be changed, the floor was never slept till I complained, even the toilets. I think the style of hospitality is different from other parts of the world.

Super clean facilities

Very clean and the rooms are well insulated so you don't hear your neighbors. The breakfast in the morning was amazing with many options (waffles, yogurt bowls, oatmeal, eggs, bacon/sausage, tea/coffee/juice, bagels, muffins, toast). The pool and hot tub was clean but had a lot of chlorine in it. The only other minor thing was we couldn't get cold water out of the taps. It would go to room temperature at the coldest but they did have a water ice station down near the front desk we could fill up water bottles with. We would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and modern rooms. Excellent complimentary breakfast. Will definitely be staying here again.

The bedside wall lights had been removed and hadn’t been replaced with anything else, consequently there were no reading lights.

Stayed one night. Rooms were clean. Service great. Breakfast had lots of options. Our room did face 8th street so there was noise from that so pack ear plugs if light sleeper. However no hotel floor noise.

We were only in Saskatoon for one night but this room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable. Beautiful shower. Breakfast was pretty good. One issue was that one elevator bank was being repaired and somehow the fire alarm was tripped which meant the other elevator was also out of service for some time, just as we were preparing to leave. The staff offered to help us bring our luggage down the stairs to the parkade but I asked instead for a call as soon as the elevator was back in service. They called promptly once it was and we were on our way. These things happen but the staff did everything they could to help us out.

Clean and good stay except internet was offered but overloaded as I could not get through.

Terrific staff!!

The receptionists were not available to check in and check out. There was no ring to call them. The hotel door was locked and there was no one to open it before check in.

Because we were travelling from Lloydminster and it’s not very far, we asked for an early check in. The front desk told me that the room wasn’t ready, but if I paid 30.00 I could get in early! What would you think???

Clean room. I broke my finger nail and they quickly provided bandaid. Asked Janitor for spoon and he quickly helped with one. Respectful and very dedicated staff. I missed breakfast by few minutes and they were still polite to offer me left offers and did with empathy.

Only one front desk person working, took 30 mins to check in. Breakfast was essentially done by 7:50 with not much left to choose from. Asked staff for more yogurt and eggs and they said they were out for the day.

Booked hotel 2 weeks ago via Expedia. When we were there to check-in on time front desk asked for Identification documents. When we shared the documents they said local residents can’t stay. We said that, one of us is foreign citizens. They said it’s their recent policy. They offered us to transfer to different Best Western hotel which is located other side of the City. When I asked why different policies for same chain hotels they said this policy is implemented by this particular hotel owner. We requested to talk to the management however they said manager is not on duty. After an hour they spoke to manager however manager refused to talk to us an offered to refund however they can’t accommodate us. We called Expedia they spoke to the hotel and advised same. They said third party sites don’t know their policy. When I asked if Expedia doesn’t know their policy why they take reservations via them, they couldn’t answer. Finally Expedia said they recorded a complaint and hotel management is supposed call me back and talk about compensation. Expedia processed the refund and was really helpful. After waiting for 4 days not receiving the call from management I called The Best Western East side hotel they said no manager available. They took my phone number and never called. I called on 5th day and spoke to front desk and asked for written policy and requested a call from management, they sent the policy via email however did not receive any call.

Parking is scary around the back near the alley. The person who checked us in was a total "Richard" Couldn't find my reservation, didn't want to explain things, except you're early for 4pm check in, your room is ready but its $30 extra if you want to access it now. He was very curt and very brash. Not the way to start your stay.

Upon check-in we were told without a credit card we couldn't stay.. Even though the room was paid for and we offered a cash or debit deposit. So, we hassled a family member for their credit card number (embarrassing) so we wouldn't have paid for room we couldn't use. After the first night we set the housekeeping light, but when we returned in the evening nothing was touched - beds weren't made, no clean towels, garbage not removed - even though signage in the lobby told us that is what we could expect after the first night of a two night stay. Called the front desk and they sent someone who did a quick, noisy and unfriendly job of replacing towels and taking the garbage out.. Of course he rolled the trash can right into the room to do it. Yuck. We have enjoyed the Best Western in several cities, but certainly not this one. Won't be back here, and really a poor reflection on the chain. We may have to start staying with a chain who has more consistency of quality and service.

Unreasonable night staff. Will not allow you to stay if you do not have a corporate credit card. Did not provide a refund. We’ve stayed at this establishment for months on end and return for a few nights and get treated like this.

I stayed for one night (Thursday, Sept.5), travelling on my way from Edmonton to my home in Barrie, Ontario. I had my bike locked on a bike rack on the back of my car parked in the outdoor lot on the side of the building. Sometime during the night, my bike was stolen off the back of my car. I looked around the parking area but no sign of my bike or certain parts of my bike rack. I started on the next part of my drive to Manitoba. Later on Friday, Sept.6, I rec'd a call from the Best Western front desk to advise me that they had found part of my bike rack. I inquired whether they could send this to me as I couldn't return back to Saskatoon. The front desk forwarded my call to Housekeeping so I could arrange this. My call went straight to voicemail & I left my info for a call back. I have yet to hear any response. This morning (Sept. 11), I left a message for the Front Desk manager to please call me. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was basic - would have appreciated fresh fruits and plain yogurt, rather than sweetened yogurt from a tap. Eggs were too salty. Boiled are best.

The underground parking was an added bonus as it was rainy then snowy throughout our two night stay. Breakfast room was not well ventilated and extremely warm. Breakfast options were regularly depleted and the single staff member was run off her feet. Tables were never cleaned between guests. Understaffed and a potential health issue during flu season.

Breakfast selection is poor. Boiled eggs not liked and the more common cheese omelette they usually have not preferred either.

The Food offered was good. Although the Temperature may not have been ideal, it was easy to fix with the Microwave. Cookies & variety of Van Houte drinks.

We picked this hotel for the location. Close to main roads. Very good room. Shopping & restruants close by. Only complaint was regarding breakfast. Only 1 waffle machine and people were lined up to use it. Usually most hotels will have 2 machines. Breakfast was fine otherwise.
