Lovely twin room with cute features in fantastic location. All staff were very friendly and the continental breakfast was delicious and ample. Really thoughtful additions such as still and fizzy water in room. Very quiet even though located in central Colchester on a busy Friday. The free onsite parking was a huge bonus. We were able to see our car from our room and could just walk to our celebration venue. The manager was particularly helpful and my was great with my highly chatty daughter. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Good for walking into town centre. Within a good area for evening dining too - highly recommend Middletons. Car park secure but if you've got a wide car you might have trouble getting through the gateway. Afternoon tea is excellent and continental breakfast is very well stocked.

We loved our visit to the Colchester Boutique Hotel. It's very close to the centre of town where there are lots of places to get food and drink and do a little sightseeing. The hotel has a quirky charm with several communal areas decorated nicely with art and antiques. We particularly liked the vintage cigarette machine. Continental breakfast was lovely with lots of options: pastries, pancakes, cereal, fruit, meat and cheese plus an added bonus of scrambled eggs made to order. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I'm sure one gentleman never left the place as he was always around and ready to answer questions and checking if we needed anything. If we visit Colchester again we'll definitely stay at the Boutique Hotel.

An intriguing hotel in the town center. The hotel is full of character with rooms situated over two buildings, the main building and an out building via a seated garden area. I had a very comfortable stay in a cosy room. The General Manager, Daniel made me feel very welcome on check in and the staff are all friendly and very helpful. I was in the Bar and mentioned that my room was a bit chilly and by the time I returned a portable heater had been delivered. If you are looking for somewhere that provides comfort, a relaxed atmosphere with breakfast included and great service then this hotel is perfect. The price is nice too!

Very welcoming staff with parking in central Colchester ( although narrow gate. The manager was very helpful with parking etc. Very helpful owner. Lovely Continental breakfast in large outdoor seating area ( shaded). A great base to explore the City and area including the Stour Valley ( Constable country etc).

A nice break roland and his manager were very helpful with little issues we had with finding places the room was good and for my brother who was with me has mobility issues it was great parking is a big plus in colchester and the continental breakfast was a big plus with many choices.

The Hotel staff were very friendly on arrival, Danny made us very welcome. The room was clean, very cosy and well equipped. We enjoyed our continental breakfast with lots of choice. We also booked a meal at the Basca Indian restaurant next door on recommendation and the food was delicious! The hotel is situated right in the middle of Colchester so the shops were in easy walking distance, as was the castle and art galleries. We really enjoyed our short stay and will be back for another visit in the future!

Excellent overnight stay for a short visit while attending an art exhibition at the nearby Firstsight gallery. Friendly staff and the room was very clean and of a high standard. Continental breakfast service was very good. Would recommend a stay here.

Only offered Continental breakfast when pictures on website showed a cooked one, I thought would be available. But was a phenomenal set up anyway with loads of choice. Room was clean, excellent shower facilities & great nights sleep. Room a little small so crowded & difficulty setting up my Laptop easily for working.

Quirky little hotel. My room was a little run down and ideally would have done well to have a desk to work at. Staff were decent but the room Brian restaurant was quality. Really good. Brekkie was continental and that was spot on also.

The staff were very helpful. The location was perfect. The room by the courtyard garden was quite cold for a stay in January, the bed had a thin fleece blanket over the duvet, but could do with something thicker for January. Breakfast had a brilliant selection, and the staff were very attentive.

room was somewhat small, staff tried to fix a problem that was out of the control of the hotel which has clouded my judgement but they did the best they could. Very good choices for continental breakfast, plenty of fresh fruit, cereal choices, baked goods and other items

Really thoughtful additions such as still and fizzy water in room. Very quiet even though located in central Colchester on a busy Friday. The free onsite parking was a huge bonus. Good for walking into town centre. Within a good area for evening dining too - highly recommend Middletons. Car park secure but if you've got a wide car you might have trouble getting through the gateway. Afternoon tea is excellent and continental breakfast is very well stocked.

We loved our visit to the Colchester Boutique Hotel. It's very close to the centre of town where there are lots of places to get food and drink and do a little sightseeing. The hotel has a quirky charm with several communal areas decorated nicely with art and antiques. We particularly liked the vintage cigarette machine. Continental breakfast was lovely with lots of options: pastries, pancakes, cereal, fruit, meat and cheese plus an added bonus of scrambled eggs made to order. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I'm sure one gentleman never left the place as he was always around and ready to answer questions and checking if we needed anything. If we visit Colchester again we'll definitely stay at the Boutique Hotel.

Very welcoming staff with parking in central Colchester ( although narrow gate. The manager was very helpful with parking etc. Very helpful owner. Lovely Continental breakfast in large outdoor seating area ( shaded). A great base to explore the City and area including the Stour Valley ( Constable country etc).

The Hotel staff were very friendly on arrival, Danny made us very welcome. The room was clean, very cosy and well equipped. We enjoyed our continental breakfast with lots of choice. We also booked a meal at the Basca Indian restaurant next door on recommendation and the food was delicious! The hotel is situated right in the middle of Colchester so the shops were in easy walking distance, as was the castle and art galleries. We really enjoyed our short stay and will be back for another visit in the future!

Excellent overnight stay for a short visit while attending an art exhibition at the nearby Firstsight gallery. Friendly staff and the room was very clean and of a high standard. Continental breakfast service was very good. Would recommend a stay here.

Ideal place to stay very close to the high street,hotel has parking which is a big plus just a bit narrow to get to if you have a big car Rooms are good and staff helpful breakfast was ok but I did miss a full English All in all would definitely recommend 👍

Only offered Continental breakfast when pictures on website showed a cooked one, I thought would be available. But was a phenomenal set up anyway with loads of choice. Room was clean, excellent shower facilities & great nights sleep. Room a little small so crowded & difficulty setting up my Laptop easily for working.

room was somewhat small, staff tried to fix a problem that was out of the control of the hotel which has clouded my judgement but they did the best they could. Very good choices for continental breakfast, plenty of fresh fruit, cereal choices, baked goods and other items

Quirky little hotel. My room was a little run down and ideally would have done well to have a desk to work at. Staff were decent but the room Brian restaurant was quality. Really good. Brekkie was continental and that was spot on also.

We have stayed at the Colchester Boutique Hotel before. Lorraine made us very welcome and she was very helpful on giving us directions before we arrived. Our room was full of character, very clean with luxurious bath products, a good range of teas/coffee and complimentary water on arrival. There is a fabulous Indian restaurant next door called Basca but we didn't have time to visit as we were here for a gig at the Colchester Arts Centre which was only a short walk away. Roland looked after us the next morning for our breakfast which provided a good selection of choices. The parking was so useful and meant that we could explore a lot of Colchester whilst remaining in the centre. We highly recommend staying here and we will be back later in the year!
