Beautiful hotel, clean room, friendly staff. Food at the pub downstairs was delicate with live music!!

Well located downtown. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Pretty expensive breakfast buffet but the quality was good. Only Valet Parking is available at the hotel so you need to park in a public parking just behind the hotel.

The property was nice in the sense that it was old architecture. The gym was really nice. Our only negative is not having enough blankets.

Very charming and historic hotel. A bit of a walk to Armory Square, which is where most of the activity is happening in Syracuse. Otherwise not a great area and expensive to park at the hotel.

Checkin was fast and easy and the staff was friendly. Parking was confusing and the proper location wasn't provided by the staff. The room was clean and spacious but there was a blood stain on one of the sheets. The buffet breakfast was terrible, the eggs were dry, the sausage was really greasy, the bacon was under cooked, and there were no pancakes. We got breakfast elsewhere on the second morning. Be prepared to spend an additional $39 per day for breakfast($20) and parking($19), neither is discounted. If I need to stay in Syracuse again, it will be elsewhere.

I liked the history. I didn’t like the expensive parking in a rundown garage that was a block and a half away.

I was here for Scare-a-Con 2025. This is an older property that Marriott purchased. It shows signs of age, but the staff and service are fantastic! Great buffet breakfast and good food and drink at the Irish pub. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here prior to my son taking an exam at facility for his medical license. The room was very clean, front desk young man was very courteous. He even gave us a free coupon for breakfast for two. We ate at eleven waters for dinner as well. Wow definitely recommend eleven waters. It was so delicious. The doors upon entering each room are very historic and have some history in themselves. Look it up! The gym was clean and worked well. The beds were extremely comfortable. The only thing I would change is next time as a woman I would use the valet. There were a couple of interesting people hanging out near the parking garage. But this is definitely worth staying here!

Hotel was ok. The shower doors have mildew all over even the tiles in the bathroom have mildew. You guys need to make sure your housekeepers are scrubbing down these bathrooms. This is the most important things in a hotel stay.

Room was clean and smelled clean.

A used contact lens on the bathroom counter, no toilet paper and mold in the shower were not highlights. Old building which is in dire need of a reno/upgrade. People and service were great though. Need massive upgrade in cleaning / room prep service.

Spotless; large rooms, very convenient walk to the Oncenter

I made a reservation 5 months in advance. Our room was not ready they put us in a room that had blood on the sheets walls and towels. When we got our regular room we went to breakfast and came back at 915 am and the cleaners were in our room. We had out money visible my jewelry visible and check out was at 12 so why was anyone in our room . This was the worst stay i ecery had at $300 a night. Will never go back !

The bathroom floor and shower glass were dirty upon checkin. You could see someone’s shoe prints on the floor and the shower glass looked like it wasn’t cleaned for a week. We checked in around 9pm and the only parking option was a poorly lit garage a block away. No attendants, no security and with random people hanging around outside the garage across the street, just didn’t feel safe night. $20 upon exit for the privilege too. They’re doing the minimum here. Definitely not staying here again.

Some details about fuzziness were missed. You could not turn on the shower without being under the spray, under the initial icy spray. The toilet paper holder is backwards, it comes unlatched every time you use it. But so many of fashioned details have been preserved. They are lovely.

The hotel is nice but the rooms are very small.

Room was noisy-banging doors, barking dog nearby, could hear thumping of music from event above (it stopped on time, thankfully). Felt gloomy and got a dark room with little views.

I stay in this hotel due to its location. It’s an average stay, average room. This time it happened to be Syracuse Winterfest. The hotel was loud and full of partiers. The evening was even louder with a dance party going on until midnight. I paid too much for “convenience” and will check next time to see what the hotel is hosting before booking

Such a beautifully restored hotel with all the charms combined with fresh updates and clean well-pointed rooms. We had a ton of space in our beautiful room. It was nicely decorated, comfortable bed, roomy sitting area, huge bathroom and amazing water pressure. What a treat it was to stay here!

All night I listened to a door slamming. Not a quiet place, people outside screaming and honking their horns at all hours. The icing on the cake was housekeeping knocking on my door at 8AM and again at 8:15AM, then acting shocked that I was in the room let alone that I was annoyed. It was absurd to be waking people up. Check out is noon, not 8.

It was a wonderful stay. The rooms were very clean and service was excellent. The only thing I found frustrating is the lighting in the room. It was very dim. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Comfy bed and large room. Lovely staff at check in and 12pm checkout as a default was a pleasant surprise. Would stay here again.

The hotel was immaculate, friendly, and very attentive. The front desk concierge was probably the most friendly and helpful gentleman in years for my heavy business travel, highly recommend this hotel !!!

Check in says 4p, got here at 3p, and said will call when room is ready. Never received a call, called at 6:30p, says still in the queue for check in, but will squeeze us in. Checked in at 7pm, dropped off our luggages and set the thermostat to 65 since it was 80 degrees in the room. Came back at 9p, temperature didn’t drop. Called front desk, sent a tech out, fixed the issue. Went to go shower, no conditioner left in the bottle, called front desk, says will send some up. Went to turn on the tv, remote can change volume but cannot change channels. This place was terrible by far. Called front desk, offered me 50k points. Really? What is a hotel room without TV, terrible check in service and the list goes on? Horrible.

Beautiful hotel with truly friendly staff

Check in wasn’t great. Got there at 3:15…a little early for check in. No problem. Told them we would take ANY room - didn’t have to be the king room we reserved. Told us no rooms were ready and we would go in a “queue” for available rooms. Seemed like most people were checking in and getting keys right away. Check back at 3:50 - room wasn’t ready…said they would call us. At 4:30 we went back up to the desk…new employees at this point. Asked straight away if we wouldn’t mind a different room and gave us keys!! Told them that in the beginning. Seemed as if we would’ve sat there for hours with no call unless we kept checking. It was annoying. Hotel is nice otherwise…room was spotless but a little dated.

Arrived just after 4pm, when check in was allowed, and the room was not ready. We waited about an hour and a half only to join a line of guests in the lobby checking in and being told the same. Once we reached the desk they confirmed we were in the queue for clean rooms and were in luck as ours had just been listed as ready. It was frustrating but I can’t imagine arriving as late as 5:30 or 6 and not being able to go to your room. I also felt for the people at the desk having to manage so many unhappy travelers - management needs to address this staffing issue ASAP.

This is such a cool place to stay. This 100-year-old hotel was delicately restored and maintains much of the class from when it was built. The staff are professional and courteous, really going out of their way for my anniversary. I especially appreciated Kessan, front desk associate that checked us in, Caroline, front desk manager that provided us with gifts in our room, and Gonzalo, M club associate that provided us with an upscale and friendly atmosphere that made us feel at home.

Hotel was amazing from the check in to the check out. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure each guest is comfortable and happy. Very polite and friendly staff in every area of the hotel. Room was very clean. Beds were comfortable with very fresh linens. Beautiful hotel in walking distance to restaurants, stores and bars. Will be back!

Nice hotel. Exceptionally friendly helpful staff

Horrible and unforgivable . I pre-paid for a large room with sofa bed on their club floor, but was given the smallest room in the building and not on a club floor. When I asked to be moved to the correct room, they had me prove that I had booked the bigger room. Instead of looking at their computer screen to see that they were wrong they made me pull up my reservation on my phone and show it to them! This is the height of unacceptable service. After that, the staff had the gall to move me to the exact same room as the one I had previously been in. They are either incredibly shady or not capable to do the job they were hired for. We are talking about a $270 a night difference. When I went back down to find out why they put me in the wrong room for the second time I found one front desk person that saw that I had received the wrong room and terrible service. He tried to correct everything but then his manager, Christina, came over and royally messed everything up. I was supposed to check out the following night but the next morning I received a phone call asking me why I had not checked out already. When I explained that I had reconfirmed the extra night with the kind front desk clerk, then with Christina, the person on the phone once again, acted very shady And insinuated that I was lying. I went down to the front desk to sort it out, and Christina told me that I was not telling the truth. I told her to review the video while I waited. I will never return.

The computer system was down and they were unable to check anyone in. The line for the front desk was VERY long and yet they were doing very little to share information or to try and make anyone happy. The customer service was BAD!! While the line to find out what was going on was still crazy long, I went outside and found one of the front desk people on a smoke break! Do your job, then take a break!

Location was great to enjoy a concert at the OnCenter

Friendly staff, nice size rooms, convenient to theaters and restaurants. Beautiful building.

The hotel itself was quite nice. Very traditional with a grand lobby. We had an issue with the drain in one of the double sinks. The room was quite large. Looks like they renovated to merge two guest rooms into one large room at some point. The location on the other hand is sketchy. Close to the bus terminal and lots of strange characters on the streets around the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful. The wedding I attended was amazing and I would definitely recommend. The staff was helpful, polite, and very nice. The room however needed a little work. It's was quite large and tastefully decorated BUT it was freezing. Wind was whipping through the windows. I used most of our towels to block the cold air so we could shower. Despite a heater/thermostat in our room, it never went above 67 degrees. We slept bundled up with socks and sweats. On another note, the hotel is right next to the bus station and there are quite a few homeless lurking at every entrance. I never felt unsafe but it's not a great look for the hotel..or the city.

The hotel was located within a resonabke distance from where we wanted to be, could walk to restaurants.

The parking garage is a block away from the hotel and adjacent to new construction and the transit center. Due to road closures for the construction project, vehicle and pedestrian traffic are limited. At times I didn't feel safe accessing the garage. Stay alert of your surroundings.

Hotel is conveniently located but the construction was a pain. We walked to restaurants and the room was great!

The neighborhood was OK, however it was a little depressed. There seemed to be a lot of homeless. Neighborhoods to the east and to the Northwest seemed a bit nicer

It’s a historic hotel and the details are incredible. Also, one of the best and most filling breakfasts I’ve had in quite some time.

This was a very good stay. The building is beautiful and historic. The staff are very friendly and the two restaurants on site are very good.

Fantastic room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and service. The facility is a beautifully restored 100 year old landmark. Will definitely return

Liked Architecture of hotel Did not like Pub food

The parking situation was frustrating because the pedestrian bridges were closed for renovations so you’re forced to walk on the street and around the building which can be a lengthy walk. Ordered room service at 8pm and it was not delivered until 10pm and that was after I received someone else’s order because my order was lost. Just overall very disappointed with service and my stay at the hotel. Will not be returning.
